I was dissapointed with my experience with Fionna. We had a good interview and clearly communicated our pets' needs. We wrote down specific instructions on how the dogs need to be cared for, fed, and walked; we were also clear on how the house should be cared for as well. Pet Care: She did not stick to the standard routine which is something we had agreed upon during the interview. The dog bowls were not kept clean (when I came back a day early, one of the water bowls was brown, and there was leftover old food in both dog bowls. Also upon my return, I found that one of the dog's kennel had puke in it that had dried since she had either not noticed it, or did not take care of it; that is a severe lack of attention to detail since that is something she would interact with often (I'm surprised she did not notice a smell or a stain on the outside of the kennel). I was extremely concerned thinking that my dog went back in the kennel with puke inside. She was unable to control one of our pets during a walk and one of our dogs came off leash even after careful instruction on how to walk him. House Care: The house was not clean when I came back. On top of the fact that I noticed the dog puke on the dog kennel right away, there were wet stains on the counter top and coffee table. The carpet had a lot of hair and she was instructed to vacuum to prevent accumulation. The bathroom mirror was stained with toothpaste and water stains. She also did not bring in our mail even though she had checked the mail multiple times. Our cookware was mishandled, leaving burn marks on our pans, and dish washing wooden utensils which can lead to cracking. She also did not notify us of changes around the home such as a windy day which knocked over side yard furniture which left a mess, and newly paved street that had multiple notices that were supposed to be relayed to the home owners. I had allowed Fionna to stay in our house for an extra two days as she had asked before my return and inspection, and I sincerely regret this decision as I feel that I have been taken advantage of. I hope that she pays better attention to her care, and reconsiders how she uses this platform. I understand that people want to come to a new place and have fun, but that is in exchange for the agreed upon care of our pets and upkeep of the home.
