Thank you to Christine for a wonderful sit with Sully and Ror . They welcomed to their wonderful home in Ithaca. Being very familiar with the area and having family there I know what a great location their home is in. It’s within easy walking distance to common services and public transportation is at the roadside a 200 yard walk from the front door. The cats were wonderful to live with and love attention and playtime. They are indoor cats with outside access to a “catio” . They enjoy the restricted area in the sun even on hot days. Again thanks to Chris for a wonderful summer month !
This was a dream house sit for us! Linda and Geoff were warm, friendly and welcoming, both before the sit and when we arrived. We were able to keep in touch via text and email, both before and during our sit. Their totally off-the-grid home was fabulous, so easy and comfortable to live in, with outstanding long views of the valley and mountains beyond. All of the animals were great...we were just a little apprehensive about the number of animals at first, being our first sit to include horses, but we got excellent instructions and introductions, both show-and-tell when we arrived and a great written guide via email, so the care of all of the pets was simple and straight forward, a piece of cake! The home and property is somewhat remote but still only a 10 minute drive, partially on dirt road and driveway, to the nearby village of Lumby. It was peaceful and we felt especially safe as the dogs, Jasper and Logan, are guardian dogs and were 'on the job' and working all the time, while still being loving and sweet. It was fascinating to watch Jasper (the older more experienced) teaching Logan (the younger puppy) how to guard the home and property and to see them work together. They love their job! The rest of the pets, Dakota, an Australian Shepherd, Floyd the cat, 9 lovely free range chickens who would meet and greet us with great enthusiasm each time we went to the barn (one of the girls, Amazon, would let us hold her) and the 5 horses, all well mannered and fun to be around. If you get a chance to sit for Linda and Geoff, don't hesitate! We would recommend it to anyone AND we hope that we will be able to return someday.
We had the greatest time loving Keira’s fur babies! All 3 of them were an absolute delight and we formed bonds with all of them! These cats are wonderful because Keira herself is so wonderful!!! We enjoyed her home and loved sitting outside on her deck and even made vegan ice cream! Lots of love to Keira, Stuart, Ollie and Sophia!
We very much enjoyed looking after Billy and Ivor. They are both wonderful dogs, friendly, affectionate, well trained on and off lead, and great company. We enjoyed many local walks in the beautiful surroundings with them, the woods nearby, as well as trips in the car with us which they really enjoyed. They even came with us on the Spa Valley railway and were so well behaved. They both loved fetching balls, Ivor especially, and Billy loved belly rubs. Paul left us a thorough and comprehensive guide, which was really helpful. Their home is very beautiful, spacious and quiet. The surrounding areas are stunning and peaceful. We would highly recommend this sit and would be happy to return again to look after Billy and Ivor.
Rebecca and Charles are absolutely wonderful. I felt right at home from the beginning. Their place is very clean tidy, and cozy. They were great communicators throughout the sit. They responded very quickly to any question or concerns, which I didn't have many. I was very comfortable during my stay. Location is great! Plenty of entertainment, restaurants, bars and cafes within walking distance. Pyro was such a bundle of joy! He is so full of energy and playful. We had a blast together. He is super easy to care for and very low maintenance. I highly recommend sitting for them! You'll love Pyro, I miss him already! Thank you Rebecca and Charles. I hope to sit for you in future opportunities. :)
Gina’s home feels like a mountain getaway. She has filled it with it good art and positive vibes. Everything in the home is well organized and labeled. She has two wonderful kitties. We felt very comfortable while we sat here.
