Michele and Jerry housesat for us the last week in March 2023. They are all around 5-star house sitters, and all-around lovely people! We recommend them highly. They took care of our pup Gracie and monitored and tended to our koi pond as well. They left the house spotless and kept us informed of Gracie's antics while we were gone! You should feel 100% confident in inviting them to sit your home and care for your fur babies.

Boris and Natasha are beautiful kitties and Fred and Julie were organized and detailed. Their location is spectacular and I enjoyed housesitting for them.

This was a fantastic dog sit, and a great introduction to France.
We thoroughly enjoyed taking care of four huskies for Jim and Beryl. They are excellent hosts and tried to think of everything we might need.
The dogs all have different personalities, are mild mannered, and accepted us at once. No jumping on us, eating off the table. Doggie doors everywhere, they take care of their own needs. No walking is required; there is enough room in the back yard for plenty of adventure. When their energy level got high, I would circle around the perimeter and two or three dogs would follow along, sniffing for moles. Feeding is simple, no complex medicines or shots. I groomed one dog once, and after that, no more shedding.
A friend of Jim's picked us up at an airport 2 1/2 hours away after the French air traffic controllers went on strike that affected thousands of flights. This was a major plus.
Beryl and Jim cooked three magnificent French dinners for us, a tremendous effort. Their kitchen has every convenience known. Two remote pantries store more food and enough dishes for a wedding.
Every room has individual heating and A/C, so temperature was never a problem. Good insulation meant we did not really need much heating or cooling. Our beds were super comfortable with 10 inch memory foam mattresses, plenty of outlets, excellent WIFI. Our Bathroom was spacious and modern, with lounge chairs and potted plants, no less.
There is a road outside but not much traffic, and none at night. Town is 6 minute walk, with grocery store, pharmacy, cafe and bar. On Saturday morning, the locals establish a big market with many stalls.
When we needed something special, we drove to another town 10 minutes away, or Limoges 30 minutes away, on good roads.
The local people are friendly, many speak English, and most take pride in keeping their property looking its best. We had fun cutting the lawn on an articulated riding mower.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return.

Luna and Jonesy were the BEST!! The sweetest dogs we have ever cared for!! We absolutely loved watching them for the time that Scott and Sharon were away on holiday!! Walking the dogs each morning on the road and then letting them run around on the beach every evening was the perfect exercise for both them, and us :-).
Their home is beautiful and located on the water about 10-15 minutes outside of Bellingham.
we even used their kayaks a few times and went out on the water. Scott and Sharon were wonderful communicators and very helpful whenever we had a question on anything. Would 100% love to watch these sweet pups again. If you have the opportunity to house and dog sit for them, TAKE IT! 5 stars

Alex
We had an enjoyable and comfortable stay in the beautiful home of Alex and Rupert.
Communication was good and everything was explained regarding the property and the two delightful dogs. We were made to feel very welcome. Good contact was maintained from the time of booking and to the end of our stay.
Deia and Paddy are great companions, affectionate, well-behaved, obedient and fully accepting of us.
Paddy is cute and cheeky as well as surprisingly fit for his age. We walked some considerable distances and he was able to keep up well - with brief stops for sniffing around.
Beautiful Deia is very athletic and intelligent. She can run and run and run….. she also likes to investigate everything in her way. Her re-call is very good.
Both dogs were happy to ride in our car to go for walks on the Ridge Way and elsewhere. There are also many routes starting from the property.
Unfortunately the weather was very wet and windy during our stay. This did not stop us from our twice a day long walks with the dogs but we didn’t have the opportunity to explore the beautiful surrounding areas this time.
This was our first experience of THS and we couldn’t have had a better start.
Thank you Alex and Rupert for sharing your home and dogs with us. Maybe there will be another opportunity in the future.

Joan
We had a wonderful time caring for Millie in Joan's lovely apartment! Joan’s a considerate and friendly host. In addition to providing us with a comprehensive Welcome Guide, Joan gave us helpful information about Millie’s routine. Our favorite part of the day was watching Millie joyfully respond to “touch the (rubber) chicken” and “roll over”.

Millie’s an intelligent, well-behaved dog. It’s as much of a pleasure to walk to the park as it is to relax on the couch with her. Just be prepared to give her lots of belly scratches when she snuggles up next to you. Millie’s also content to be on her own. She sleeps in the living room and is somewhat of a late riser. In short, Millie’s the perfect dog – both in and outdoors!

We appreciated the thoughtfulness with which Joan prepared her tidy and well-equipped apartment. It’s obvious that she wants her sitters to feel welcome.

From attending an author event at Brookline Booksmith to walking with Millie to see John F. Kennedy’s childhood home, we thoroughly enjoyed our time exploring Coolidge Corner. It’s a vibrant neighborhood. Everything that you need, including a large Trader Joe’s, is within easy walking distance of Joan’s apartment.

Stéphane and I can wholeheartedly recommend this sit and would happily return. Thank you for the invitation and your warm hospitality, Joan!

Marcia
The dogs, the homeowners, and the house were perfect :)

Both dogs are extremely well behaved and friendly. They love attention, cuddles and treats. Both are low maintenance and independent throughout the day. They loved sleeping in the the bedroom with me which I didn’t mind at all :)

Marcia and Bill were generous with their home and time as they dropped me off at the greyhound station at the end of my stay which I really appreciated! The bedroom was comfortable and clean just like the rest of their home :) The backyard is a slice of heaven and the perfect place for R&R.

Lastly, the residents of this community were so friendly and welcoming that I made several friends during my stay. Marcia and Bill’s friends were very gracious and kind in their assistance during this longer house-sit as I did not have a car handy during my stay.
