It was a pleasure to housesit for Suzanne and Roger. They were easy to communicate with and happy to video call prior to us arriving and left further instructions upon our arrival. Jack and Ruby are lovely, easy going and independent cats who have their own cheeky quirks but you can’t help but love them! The house was easy to maintain and within commutable reach of Auckland CBD. They were very generous with their space when they had to come home early allowing us to stay until the end of our scheduled sit and made us feel so welcomed. We would 100% housesit for them again!
We had a delightful stay at Mika's home! Willow and Sophie were so much fun; loving, warm, and easy. Mika guided us through out trip over and suggested stops along the way to enjoy Oregon's beauty. We felt right at home when we arrived, with Mika inviting us in like family. She's an incredible conversationalist and we could have sat up talking all night! The neighborhood is lovely, friendly, clean and safe. Oregon City is a great place to spend time, lots of great food and folks. Staying at Mika's was one of our best sits and we would love to return.
I had the great pleasure of sitting two Persian cats in Dubai, UAE for over two weeks. A large lad, Louie, and a petite gal, Heidi, were my family during that time. Louie has the longest and strongest whiskers I have ever encountered, and encounter them I did as he used them like fingers to determine where I was so he could pet ME! Yes, he had claws but never used them on me. Amazing creature! Heidi was somewhat more reserved, but entertained me with her relaxed positions which made her appear to be a stuffed tiny teddy bear. Both were well behaved and easy to care for. These gentle creatures are clearly a result of the total love given them by their human Momma, Jodie, who rescued them from very traumatic lives. It was humbling to be a part of this successful rehabilitation. The apartment was clean and stocked with everything necessary to care for both the kitties as well as my needs. A lovely gym and pool, supermarket across the street, and a hair dresser in the building made living easy. But if travel and sightseeing is your desire be prepared to either rent a car or use Uber and taxis, readily available, to get around as this is a residential community and not easily walkable to the metro or other tourist sites. Thank you Jodie for the opportunity!
Romi, Teddy and Freddy are such a delightful trio. Expect lots of cuddles from the bunch! The rabbits are so cute and Beth’s garden is so stunning. Some of the most beautiful roses I’ve ever seen. Beth was incredibly accommodating and quick response on any questions we had.
