Jerilyn and Matthew were amazing pet and home sitters. We met on Zoom and later also in person and they were friendly, knowledgeable, and easy going pet sitters. They asked all the right questions and were excited to meet and take care of Kitty. Kitty seemed very content upon our return. They sent us a lovely update on how the pet sit was going which was very much appreciated. When we returned, our home was immaculate and they even picked flowers for our vase. We would use them again in a heartbeat. We highly recommend Jerilyn and Matthew.
Coconut and Snowball were so much fun! We absolutely adored them! Claire and Kaiden left detailed instructions and back up contacts which were truly helpful considering there was a power outage during the night. The neighbor was so kind to keep us informed as to when the power was projected to come back on. We were mostly concerned about the salt water fish being without oxygen for too long so we pumped it in by hand throughout the night. Beautiful views of the lake and the pets were easy to care for!! Thanks for the opportunity to sit for you guys!!
Sitting for Theresa and Freddie was wonderful from start to finish. Their home is peaceful and filled with light, a perfect place to decompress and enjoy nature (while of course still being close to anything you could possibly need by car). Remy, Hardy and McLovin are wonderful and we miss them already. We enjoyed every minute of our stay! Hope to help out again soon.
This was such a great house/cat sit! Little Timble stole my heart, she is absolutely the sweetest cat, very affectionate and loves to talk. The train station is only a block from the house so I did a lot of interesting sight-seeing while there: Harrogate for sure, Knaresborough was gorgeous, and, of course, two trips to York, my favorite city in England. All were very close and easy to get to. Timble was so cute I couldn't wait to get back to her every day! Jenny was a lovely host.
Well what can we say about the family at Marlsfield Barn.... Cornelia was in constant contact prior to the sit and when we arrived was shown the necessary requirements to look after the two most important subjects Seamus and Frank. Seamus very independent terrier who knows his own mind and would often disappear only to return when hungry or tired. Then Frank who definitely doesnt have small dog syndrome. He is the most adorable dog and whilst just as happy to run the length and breadth of the surrounding fields he loves a cuddle on your lap. Both dogs compliment each other and love running around the fields outside their home. Dont worry if Seamus disappears even though Cornelia and Mike said dont worry you do.....but he will come back. There are an abudance of fields outside their fabulous home so leads are rarely required. We did take them to St Abbs beach in the car..... both travel well in a cage, and loved running along the beach. Cornelia has a lead where both dogs are attached so no running off if you are worried. Their home has all amenties and gadgets to have a wonderful stay and the guest bedroom had a devine bed and ensuite facilities. The garden is large so dogs can run around if you dont want to take the outside to the surrounding countryside. We would not hesitate to recommend Cornelia and Mike and the adorable Seamus and Frank. We definitely hope to return in the future to catch up with all. If you love the countryside, little light pollution, birds signing, tranquil life then this is the sit for you. .....
Looking after Lola and Monty was such a treat! They are both intelligent, gentle, playful, and loving kittens. Natalia was a wonderful host and excellent communicator. Natalia and Greg have a lovely home in a stunning location. I would be happy to look after the little ones again in the future!
Rosie is experienced with housesitters and her manual was extremely detailed and covered everything, including specific commands and a great game to play with Steeler to keep him occupied. She was responsive to messages throughout our stay. The house is lovely and we appreciated how welcome she made us feel. We had a great time hanging with Steeler, Nala, and Zoe for the weekend.
