John and I had a truly relaxing time at this sit in Galveston with Dulce, Izzy and Hazel. We enjoyed the cats, who were extremely well-behaved, and we made friends with them (especially with Izzy). Dulce needed a little extra attention because she is blind, but was sweet and responsive and her medication was easy to mix up and administer.
Galveston was a little cool for our taste in March, but people were very friendly. We enjoyed walking the seawall, driving and looking at houses, and especially the ferry ride to Bolivar. We ate at Shrimp n Stuff (Melinda's recommendation) and give that 5 stars, too.
Melinda is super nice and a fantastic communicator. Taking care of her house was easy and everything there was just as advertised - antique but fully functional! I loved all her antiques (especially the bottles in the bathroom display).
We recommend this sit and would like to go back when the water is a bit warmer. We wish Melinda and her kitties the very best!

This short housesit has been a special one. Ida is a kind host , easy to communicate .Geoffrey and Bizzou are the sweetest boys you can imagine, really two gentlemen. The house was bright and comfortable in a nice quiet green area near to Ponte Milvio not too far from the center of Rome, easily reached by bus.
Supermarket and bus are two hundred meters from the apartment , two minutes by walk.
I recommend this sit if you want visit the beauties of Rome with two sweet fur friends !

Single pet: low maintenance - high reward. Pet owners: easy transitions, accommodating, low maintenance. Convenient location close to amenities. Secure residence on a quiet block. Conducive to remote income generation. Lobo is a little guard dog who does guard dog stuff in good ways. Be proactive with food, water and bathroom breaks.

I enjoyed looking after Corrina's two dogs Lily (Retriever) and Kokko (Cocker), as well as sweet Alfie the cat and wonderful Molly, loving mum to her third litter who at 5 weeks old were exploring the world and running up the curtains :) It was so lovely to see how affectionate all of the animals were with one another.

Kokko is a completely adorable and still very bouncy teenage Cocker Spaniel. She has boundless energy, loves affection and really benefits from a good walk morning and evening to burn off some of that excess bounce. I found she responded really well to treat training and she quickly learnt to wait on her bed while I put her and Lily's leads on for their walks. Although it was lovely to see their excitement I found getting them calm before leaving the house made negotiating the busy road (with no pavement) a lot easier as the stress of the passing traffic made them pull hard on the leash. We waited for a break in the traffic before hitting the road and I kept them on a short lead by my side till we reached the farm just a few yards away. Once in the fields they can run safely off-leash, play, swim and let off steam as much as they like. It's a safe space and their recall is really good. Added bonus, with a walk a.m and p.m I didn't have any mess to clear up in the garden during my stay.

Lily is a big laid back softie and her favourite things (typical Retriever!) are playing ball on the patio and swimming. She really is a water dog! Oh and lying on her back with her legs in the air! Untypically she's not that interested in food. I found she prefers eating after walks (and a poo) and she's more likely to be tempted if you add a splash of hot water to her food.

If you're interested in woods and gardens there are lots to explore nearby like Sussex Prairie Gardens, High Beeches and Leonardslee, all gorgeous and just half an hour's drive away. They're all RHS Partner gardens and free to members.

We loved to stay at Mercedes and Tims house :)
They are both lovely and gave us lots of recommendations for the area :)

The pets are so cute and very easy to handle. They love to cuddle and play with you :)

The dogs ( Shisha and Negro) use the garden as a toilet so you don't have to go for walks with them :)

Fito and Paez are so much fun!! You will love them :)

We hope to come back one day and spend some time with them :)

We are alredy missing them and wish them all the best :)

KIM
We had an awesome sit with Kim and Norman’s wonderful dog, BeBe. Kim and Norman were very hospitable welcoming us into their home. We had a great pre-sit walk-through the night before where everything was explained to us and provided a great opportunity to get to know each other a bit. Bebe was so easy to care for and loved her walks. She stole our hearts! The house was beautiful and easy walks are right out the front door. Grocery, restaurants, and retail are a short drive away. We highly recommend this sit!
