We arrived to stay with Jeff and Janet the night before they left on holiday. They are really lovely hosts and such good company. Dinner was perfect and we were shown around the house and the area we were to walk their two pets. Bentley and Bobby are lovely, very gentle and easy to get attached to. One loves everyone and the other more shy but equally as charming. The house has everything you will need and the bed very comfortable. Once Jeff and Janet had left for their holiday the pets soon became used to us and we enjoyed many happy hours with them walking around a very beautiful area opposite their house. If the opportunity arose we would care for them again.
This was a lovely house sit in rural France. Gary and Jane were perfect hosts. Gary collected and returned us to the airport and we spent a lovely evening with then over dinner that Jane had cooked. They kindly loaned us their car which was a extremely beneficial, and a must as the location is quite rural. Uzes is a pretty well populated market town only 15 mins in the car. The house is a spacious converted 18c silk farm. It has been renovated to a high stand by Gary and Jane and Jane's skill as an interior designer were very evident . Merlot and Tori are delightful and well trained dogs. They are a joy to take out for walks in the beautiful countryside. Skooter is an independent cat that needs little attention whilst Roxy is extremely affectionate once she gets to know you. We would highly recommend this beautiful home to any house sitter.
Lindsey was super easy to communicate with and left the place super equipped and organized for everything I needed. The kitties were very sweet and I enjoyed doing yoga with them and hanging in the evening. I would be happy to come back any time :)
We absolutely adored looking after Gretchen's GORGEOUS boys, Max and Ninj! They are the most beautiful, sweet natured cats we've ever met and are such good company! They love playing and cuddling but aren't overbearing. They will happily curl up on the sofa with you or zoom around the apartment playing. They very low maintenance and have access to a litter box on the big balcony. They have very distinct personalities but will both purr the minute you stroke them. We just totally fell in love with them from the minute we met them. Gretchen's home is just WONDERFUL! Its open plan, incredibly light and airy and incredibly comfortable. It is a true sanctuary and I found myself wanting to just stay in and relax with the boys! However, being a 1 min walk to Sydney road with all it's great coffee shops, restaurants, bars and shops, we were spoilt for choice. It's also a 2 min walk to the train and tram and only 15 mins into the CBD. We would love to sit for Gretchen anytime as she is so lovely and we loved every minute of sitting for her . I had the best time at Hannah and Marks house, the home is absolutely beautiful and they are the loveliest people and made us feel so so welcome.
It was a real pleasure to house- and dog-sit for Karin. Communication with her was good throughout. Her super cottage and lovely garden are perched above Waiomu so the views are stunning. Sonny and Kaia are sweet and mellow dogs (until they see their leashes!) We all enjoyed our walks to the park, domain and beaches nearby. Waiomu is small (with a great beach cafe.) It's about 15 minutes drive from Thames - an interesting town with plenty of shopping opportunities and good food. There are lots of great bush walks/hikes in the area and the sea fishing is good! We would happily do it all over again.
