My dog absolutely loves it here. The moment we pull into the parking lot, nothing else matters to him—he’s so excited to get inside. It’s such a relief knowing that he’s in great hands while I’m away. The staff is incredible, especially with my dog, who can be quite reactive when he’s with me. They go above and beyond to work with him and make sure he’s happy and well-cared for. Every time I pick him up, he’s a happy, relaxed boy, which means the world to me. I’m so grateful for the love and attention they give him. This place truly feels like a second home for my pup!
My pup Salem absolutely loves all the staff and has a blast every day she comes here. She's always so excited to go inside and is always tuckered out by the end of the day. I 100% would always take my dog here all the time, even if I didn't work for Thrive. I can say confidently that this is the best dog boarding facility I've ever been to OR worked for.
Utah Dog Park - Airport is a wonderful boarding facility! They take excellent care of all pets staying with them. The staff is friendly and attentive to whatever needs your pet has. Our senior dog recently developed diabetes and Utah Dog Park was one of the only facilities we found that can administer their insulin shot! Located in the same building as a vet clinic (which is just as amazing!), you can rest assured your pet will be well cared for. Side note - our senior dog has often had a difficult time boarding and regularly developed stress colitis. Since starting at Utah Dog Park, they no longer get as stressed and seem to enjoy their stay there. 10/10 would recommend!
My dog has been groomed here for the past year. Suddenly, there is a new groomer and was charged 25 dollars more without a prior notice. I’m overdrawn because of this. Let’s go somewhere else
Went in for the meet and greet and trial day. The place has a great vibe. I think our small dog will be super happy here when we have to board or do daycare next.
It has been five years and my dog still has separation anxiety. Long and short, they gave my dog to the wrong person. A flight attendant. They made excuses for her and said what a good pet owner she is…. But my dog was maybe half the size of the dog the staff was ARGUING me with. Yes, I know what my dog looks like and my dog knows and comes to his name. Not a common name so there is no way on this green earth they had the same name. They gave gave the wrong food… I know this because had diarrhea like when he was on a different type of food. And while I will never forgive the flight attendant who mistook my 8 pound white and brown dog for your 20 plain white…. I think it’s a disgrace how the OWNER gave me her name after giving me my dog.
I have been taking my dogs to Utah Dog Park for over 10 years and they are one of the best facilities for all-inclusive pet care in downtown SLC, UT. I recently took in an 11yo poodle mix rescue that is blind and deaf that requires grooming. I was nervous caring for a disabled dog but have encounter a lot of amazing help along the way and Utah Dog Park is one of them. I was worried the groomer at UDP would have a hard time with Stevie but she is truly a miracle worker. The rest of the staff are just as spectacular. Thanks guys
Very happy with the week our dog spent with the great people at Dog Park. I was more than happy to bring my dog in to get screened, knowing that it meant the other dogs had done it a well, after the last place we boarded him at left him with a large bite wound. It's no wonder this place has won best in state 3 years in a row. Our little guy was happy and worn out when we picked him up.
This was the first time I put my puppy Labrador into a doggy daycare and this place was great! The owner of the place was kind and welcoming, people were knowledgeable and were very understanding of my specific needs for my 4 month old, the process went smoothly and the prices are affordable. Would highly reccommend!
We are avid fans of this dog boarding location right in SLC. We always know they treat our dogs so well. I love the fact that our pups are not locked up during the day like most boarding and have free roam to go inside and outside! Anytime there is an issue- for example- my pup got diarrhea and they called me straight away to ask how to proceed. They listened to me and took wonderful care of my girls! I truly love this dog boarding- so much so- I got my best friend to switch to this one too!! We could not be happier! We trust and know our dogs are always taken care of! Thank you Utah dog park! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I adopted the cutest little dog from them last December! She has been a wonderful addition to our family!! The adoption process was easy! Madeline Mock was great to work with! She was and has been since very helpful and answers all my questions!! You can tell she really cares and loves the dogs!! I get discounted dog boarding for life if I need!
We had a disappointing experience with this facility. We left our Doberman in their care for one week, attracted by the positive reviews, confident owner, and their acceptance of breeds other kennels might reject. We specifically chose this facility for its ability to isolate dogs from group play, as our dog has had issues with other dogs in the past. Our primary concern was our dog’s safety during our absence. Upon returning home, we found our dog covered in red, swollen bites everywhere: belly, legs, nose, and around his eyes, possibly from ant or flea bites. He was also extremely sore, lethargic, and weak for several days. We contacted the owner, who claimed that they regularly treat for bugs and had not noticed any issues in his kennel. Although we initially negotiated a partial refund, the owner stopped responding once we provided our Venmo information.
I boarded my dog Scrappy for a weekend at Cowboy Joe's dog boarding. Scrappy was a great mood when I picked him up I took him to the beach. He was smelling clean. We had a great time at the beach The owner was helpful when I was booking his appointment.
I can tell my puppy had fun here. She was healthy and energetic when we picked her back up after a week of vacation away. Definetly will come back here again, the owner seems very fond of dogs and I trust her with my own.
Our dog Anitta stayed for an entire week here and absolutely loved it. Madeline was always in contact with me whenever I asked for anything. She has a lot of experience with dogs and helped me with training tips.
Cowboy Joes is the only place I trust to watch my dogs. Each dog is personally known and cared for. My dogs always seem happy and well cared for.
We love Cowboy Joe's kennel!! We have taken our dog here for a few years now, (probably over 15 times) and it's by far our favorite place. The owner is so sweet and accommodating, and always takes such good care of our dog. Our dog runs through their door every time we come because he's so excited to be there. He loves it! We won't ever go anywhere else👍😊
This place is so amazing. My dog Tucker absolutely loves Madeline the owner of Cowboy Joe's.
My dog had an amazing experience! The staff was caring, the facilities were clean, and I felt confident my pup was in good hands. Highly recommend! Thanks Maddie!
I deeply urge you to reconsider using this facility for your dogs. My dog passed tragically while in her care due to the owners lack of communication, and negligence on her part. This has been an incredibly devastating, and expensive “mistake” she has caused our family.
We had a last minute need for pet sitting with short notice over 5 days and Merry Pets came through with flying colors. Merry and Caitlin were amazing through the process for a house hold of pets. Thanks so much for coming through in a pinch.
Merry and her crew are that rare blend of reliable, consistent and professional mixed with the heart of someone who will love and care for your pets as you do. Not everyone in the business of pets does it as an act of Service as well as a business, but Merry does. They have taken care of my two cats, one 20 years old and one 11 years old for 15 months now and allowed me to leave town for work regularly and lovingly cared for my cat that needed daily medication, varying dietary requirements and through several health challenges. I was able to leave knowing my sweet, fragile kitty would be taken care of well. They also bring in mail, packages, water plants, empty litter boxes and play with kitties. I had moved neighborhoods and needed good care. When I read Merry's story on the website, I was moved and I knew she was the one. Merry Pets greatly exceeded my expectations and provided the very best service and care. And Merry herself has the biggest heart. Highly recommend them if you want the very best, most attentive and caring team to care for your pet family members.
I don’t know how more to express how amazing Merry Pets is! Merry consoled me before and after a pet death then helped me care for my other disabled dog. Merry Pets are always welcome in my home and to care for my pets. TY TY TY TY TY ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏 …
We have been with Merry Pets for over 15 years now. She walked our 1st poodle until he passed and she started taking our 2nd poodle when he was a puppy. He is 11 now. He always has so much fun with his pack and since he is an only child he needs the socialization of a pack. He always knows when it's Thursday because he knows the door knock is for him that day. They always come rain or shine. We love Merry Pets!
I love Merry Pets and all of the services they provide!! I have two pups and I work at a job where my hours can be very different depending on the month, and sometimes I’m not able to take the dogs out during the day. I contacted Merry and she was super responsive and positive, and got the dogs set up on their regular hiking schedule!! I love that Merry and her team are able to come to the house and pick up the dogs. It’s great that they get to go with a small group of other dogs to help with socialization and the pups seem so happy from their adventure when I get home from work. I also love that Merry sends photos from the hikes!! It makes me so happy and I know that they are in great hands!!! I would definitely recommend Merry Pets!
I love Merrys Pets! I was out of town for the weekend and had Merry check in on my cat a few times per day. I am a first time pet owner and had never left my cat alone before. Merry came to my apartment to meet me and my cat before I left and took detailed notes. She sent photo updates while I was away. When I came home, my cat was happy and well cared for. Additionally, my home was spotless! I was able to enjoy myself while away knowing that my kitty was in good care. Thanks Merry!
My family (people and pets, of course) loves Merry Pets! They are flexible, make all sorts of accommodations as needed, and are great at solving problems so your pet's experience is perfect. I have three dogs that all go on hikes twice weekly and they love all the hikers they've been out with, and Merry has been helpful in making sure all their quirks are managed (ie. eating sticks and other trail garbage). I highly recommend Merry Pets to anyone looking for the best dog walking and dog care service around.
Merry Pets is amazing! We have been using their in-home petsitting services for over 6 years now. We just returned from a 10-day vacation totally satisfied with the care and love Merry and her sitters/walkers provide. All of the staff are knowledgeable pet-lovers. Everyone who has cared for our 3 dogs and 3 cats has been terrific... We even have a dog with health problems that thrived while we were away. They are respectful of our home and consistently check in to let us know all is well. We have also used their dog-hiking services with great pleasure! I recommend Merry Pets emphatically!
One of the best decisions I have ever made was to bring Merry Pets into Cooper's life. I felt secure entrusting his well-being to Merry and her team for daily hikes, check-ins and sleep-overs. For over 3 years they've continued to take great care of my lab retriever. Cooper adores all of them and I know they reciprocate that adoration of him; he loves being a part of the Merry Pack. Merry Pets is always accommodating and will help with last minute requests - including getting locked-out on a Sunday afternoon. For the best possible care of your pets, Merry Pets is definitely the recommendation I would encourage for you.
I can't say enough great things about Merry Pets! I hired them to take my dogs on hikes and it was the best thing I cold have ever done for pets and myself. The whole hiking crew is amazing! They love my dogs and take extra special care of them. They send me pictures from the trail which make me super happy when I see they are having so much fun. My dogs are getting the exercise they need and one of my dogs who was getting a little chubby has lost weight. I can tell my dogs are so much happier and healthier because of their hikes with Merry Pets. I completely trust them and I know the whole crew is passionate about animals and their well being. I couldn't be happier.
I’ve taken my dog Olive here pretty regularly and she loves it! I have boarded her for as long as a week and taken her for daycare. They are incredibly reliable and easy to get ahold of. Olive gets super excited when we drive into the neighborhood now, and the staff there seems excited to see her too! They also send pictures and videos at no extra charge when boarding. I love that they don’t require your dog to sleep in a crate as well. Thank you, hound hearts!
Lovely place! I highly recommend it. Sandy is a wonderful person and my dogs always come home happy and worn out.
We are SO glad we found Hound Hearts. Sandy and Morgan are wonderful and we trust them completely with the care of our Milo. We have left him in their care while we have been on vacation anywhere from 3 or 4 days to more than two weeks. We don’t worry at all because we know they care so much for him.
I have to say that boarding with Sandy at Hound Hearts has been amazing. I wholeheartedly trust her and her staff to watch my dogs and keep them safe. I have a Basset Hound and she personally has Basset Hounds so it is fun for him to play with them. I also have a small mixed-breed that I worried about playing with bigger dogs but have never had an issue. They always come home happy and tired. I would not know what to do without her service, I just hate thinking about sending my dogs away while I'm gone to be crated for hours on end. With Hound Hearts there is no long hours being crated, the dogs get to roam the house like it's their own and get to play in a huge backyard. Love this place! Would recommend to everyone.
Hound Hearts Dog walking & Boarding provides tip top service. The owner Sandy is easy to communicate with as well as extremely dependable. I work a unpredictable schedule sometimes and Sandy is ALWAYS willing to work with me to make sure my pups get taken care of. I have 3 dogs that I take to Hound Hearts daycare and 1 dog that Sandy comes to my house to walk. For my pups that go to daycare they come home happy and tired, they are also very happy and excited to go to daycare every morning. They jump out of my car and wait patiently at Sandy's front door unable to control their excitement of seeing Sandy. My dog that Sandy walks is also very happy and calm when I come home. Sandy always locks up and makes sure my pup is all tucked into her crate before she leaves. My pups are my babies and I wouldn't trust them to anyone else but Sandy. Besides giving great doggy service, Sandy is also a very kind and compassionate person that will work with you to make sure you get the best deals. I am so thankful that I was able to find Sandy and her business. I would recommend her to all my family members and friends.
Sandy and Morgan are amazing! They are always willing to take in your dogs even at the last minute to working around your work schedule and my pup loves it when he goes to daycare and is always so tired when I pick him up and they send you pictures throughout the day to let you know how your dog is doing. They are life savers I don't know what I would do without Hound Hearts this place is my pups second home!🐶🏡
I'm a bit nervous telling SLC about Hound Hearts. I had found an amazing vet when I moved to Utah and told everyone I knew about that vet - and was never able to get an appointment again! Hound Hearts is a god send. My dog gives four paws up & a tail wag for all the love and attention she receives from Sandy and Morgan! I am the MOST picky pet owner when it comes to vets and those who interact with my dog - and I can go to work - even in the middle of the night on a trauma call - and know I'm leaving my dog in the best hands, so I have no worries. I work crazy hours at the hospital and Hound Hearts has THE BEST daycare hours - 24 hours / 7 days a week. My girl started daycare two weeks after I adopted her; a one year old high energy herding breed. Every time I picked her up, her tail was wagging and her tongue was hanging out - she even skipped dinner sometimes because she was so tired. She would wake me up before my alarm clock because she was ready to go to daycare! I like the personal touch Sandy and Morgan give vs those bigger businesses with more dogs. I can't even explain how much my dog loves Sandy's homemade doggie cookies that she sells at the farmers markets / dog events (I'm sure taste testing for the masses makes for a hard day at daycare for my dog!). They are healthy and tasty (I've tested them myself). Bring your dog to meet Sandy and Morgan - let your dog tell you how much fun Hound Hearts is!!
I can't speak highly enough of this daycare. I have an energetic collie-mix,Louie, and he is so excited to go. The first day I dropped him off, I was nervous. In 10 minutes, they had sent me a photo of a very happy puppy. They are reliable and very responsive. This a great home daycare. As a first time dog-mom, I was anxious. Louie leaps from the car when we arrive to play with his friends. If you are looking for a place for you pup to get some play and social interaction, this is the place !
We have been bringing our now almost 14 year old dog here for years when we go on vacation. I know he feels right at home and loves to snuggle there. I don't think I would trust him with anyone else. She even sends pictures and updates when she has him. Thank you for taking such good care of our Sammy every single time you have him.
It was such a blessing finding Hound Hearts to take care of my fur-baby Gizmo. Sandy and Megan have taken such good care of my little boy, gave him tons of hugs and love. They were so accommodating with my crazy work schedule. I would pick up my little boy exhausted from a day full of play with his new friends. They are worth their weight in gold and I wish I could find someone like them back home! Recommend them 1000%!!!!!
Phenomenal staff made my dog's first stay at the club fantastic. It is clear the staff genuinely care about the experience the pets have at the Club! My good boy made a lot of staff buddies, and a couple four legged friends in the couple days he spent with them. I would highly recommend the City Pet Club, and want to give a big thank you for the kind, accommodating and professional experience they delivered.
We had been bringing our husky here for daycare/boarding for 4 years. And she absolutely loved it and we loved every single one of the staff. She would normally be boarded here once a month. We had a family emergency and needed 1 night of boarding, yes it was on short notice. The new owner and staff just said "no, we are putting a stop to drop off boarding." I understand the need for new policies, but a warning (and maybe a one time pass) regarding this would have helped and alleviated the additional stress this brought to our situation. We have since pulled her from this facility and have found a new daycare/boarding facility.
I've left my cat here several times for several weeks at a time while traveling over the years. He always returns healthy and safe, so that's the biggest compliment. They are also accommodating when my travel schedule changes. My only request would be that City Pet Club send reports/updates to owners proactively. If you need a safe place to look after your pet, I can definitely recommend them.
These guys are the worst. We took our dog in for boarding on the way to the airport. Get there and the girl behind the desk was a total brat and told us they didn’t have our reservation. We had verified our reservation in person and on the phone three times because the previous time we boarded her they lost our reservation. Well we ended up missing our flight because of this whole thing. Luckily found another boarding place down the road but had to pay a few hundred dollars in change fees for our flight. Not even an apology for losing our reservation for the second time. Garbage experience. I’ve been boarding my Great Danes here since like 2011. Never again
I am deeply disappointed with the care provided to my cat, Kitty, during her stay at this facility from June 15-23. When I picked her up on June 23rd, the attendant mentioned she was "a little dirty." However, upon arriving home, I was appalled to find her in a state of severe neglect. Feces and litter were caked onto her paws and embedded between her toes, causing her significant discomfort and an unbearable smell. It took me three days to thoroughly clean her. This neglect indicates a failure to maintain her litter box and ensure her basic hygiene. Despite my request for nail trimming, which was done, it is clear that her poor condition was noticed but not addressed before returning her to me. I am extremely disappointed by the lack of care and attention Kitty received. This experience has led me to lose confidence in this facility's ability to provide the necessary care for pets. I reached out through email about my concerns. I received a reply from the facility manager who had been out of town. She said she would reach out the next day. I’ve never heard back from her.
My family has brought our lab mix here since she was a puppy. Recently she came home with a puncture, and has been nervous entering the building for daycare, ( something she was always excited for ) I used to be well acquainted with the staff there for a long time, but I've noticed that i no longer recognize any of the staff. I am not sure what happened, but I think I will start looking elsewhere for my dog care needs.
I made the mistake of trying to trim my dogs fur on my own. Thank goodness for Alex and Tyler saving the day! They listened when I said I had ruined him and they’d need a miracle to make him look normal again but I also gave them permission to do whatever they wanted as long as it wasn’t floofy and Karenlapdog-ish. Not only did they save his dignity but also made him the coolest little badass in the house! My other dogs are jealous and may need to be next. Definitely going to them for all my future pet needs! Thanks again!
We just boarded our two sphynx cats for a week and are SO impressed with City Pet Club. I was nervous to board them because we have never boarded them before, but we will definitely be bringing them back! The facility is very clean and smells clean, the staff is extremely friendly, especially Lindley. She knew I was nervous and kept in contact with me throughout the week, even sending pictures of the kitties. I was confident that they were safe and in great hands while we were away. I really can’t say enough good things about this business and highly recommend to anyone looking to board their pets. Thank you again City Pet Club!
Best experience I think we've ever had! Alex got my lil man lookin' so dapper! Seriously cannot thank you enough. Idk if they're just magic here but, everytime my lil man went to the groomers before, I got reports of biting, nipping and overall just a bad temperament. Not here! He got an A+ report card and looks the best he's ever looked 🙌. Upon picking him up I was shocked the prices were reasonable too?! We WILL be coming back!!! 💖
We love City Pet Club and board our dogs here. It's great that we can sign via web in and watch our dogs Nikko, Trooper and Tino playing and roaming around. The facility is great with large indoor/outdoor areas. Very clean. The staff is totally dedicated and take great care of our dogs. Lindley is the bomb! Highly recommended.
We had to fly out of state for a work trip — we’ve never left our dog with anyone or at a boarding facility. We were so anxious, but the team at Diggity Dog were so kind and understanding! We took him there for daycare a few times to make sure he’d be able to get along with the other pups. Every time he goes, he comes back happy and exhausted! When we dropped him off for his stay, it was hard not to cry 🥲 we had nothing to worry about though! We thankfully get to pick up our sweet boy tomorrow, and we can’t wait! We’ve received photo and video updates of Neruda having the time of his life. I can tell the people working there love dogs, and that he’s had a great time. This is the place to take your pup!
I started taking my pup to Diggity Dog last year when I was working here temporarily. When we moved permanently, it was an easy choice to bring my pup back for daycare. She is well cared for, loved, treated like royalty, and is so happy every morning to get to daycare. Heather, Will, Charlie, Rhea and the entire team are phenomenal. Thank you for loving my pup so much!
Diggit Dog is fabulous! I have been taking my dog Theo for daycare and boarding at Diggity Dog for three years. My dog loves DD. Theo is greeted by either Bob or William in the morning, and can’t wait for me to leave! Lisa, the groomer is also very talented, Theo always looks great after a grooming session! And Michelle, the owner is caring and loves what she does! I would highly recommend Diggity Dog for your pets needs.
I was in town for my father’s funeral and had to bring my canine pal Lexi along. She is an older rescue and had never been in a hotel before and was barking at every sound she heard, so much so at times there was no sleep for anyone. I couldn't leave her in the hotel alone as she would bark and paw at the door whenever I left the room. My sister looked around for a doggy daycare I could take her to be during the funeral and she found Diggity Dog, what a godsend!!! They emailed me the application and I was able to electronically submit it, along with her vaccinations overnight, and on the way to the funeral I was able to get her there to have her temperament tested to ensure she was friendly enough and would be safe for other dogs and people. She was excited and having fun with other dogs when I picked her up that night and I took her back the next two days so I could visit with family before we had to return to Phoenix. All the staff I engaged with (JJ, Kelly, Sage, Brian?, Brent) were friendly and really good with Lexi. She was happy every day and excited to play with the other dogs there. The place was very clean and inviting and I now have a place where she can be, and be happy, so I can plan another trip knowing she won't ever have to be left alone. It is also very affordable for the daycare; it was not nearly what I thought I would have to pay for such a great place with such personable services! Great job DD Team!!!
I would recommend diggity dog to everyone!! Our Kota has been going there for almost 2 years and absolutely loves it. The staff treat her and treat us like family and we have had nothing short of an amazing experience with them. Kota is our baby and we trust them 1000%. She comes home every day the happiest dog and has been taken care of like a princess while at daycare and boarding. Shout out to them for being such a great facility!
Diggity dog is wonderful, helpful, and loves our doggy, Ham. He loves going to daycare and we know he will be well taken care of during boarding!
Wonderful people! They took such great care of my puppies.
This place is the best. Every employee truly cares about every dog, knowing and doting on them as if they were their own. It makes us feel so much better about leaving our fur babies when we go out of town- we know they are in good hands and having a blast! We loved getting photo updates as well. Thank you guys!
Diggity is Charlie’s home away from home, literally. Not only does he attend daycare but twice I have had to board him for extended periods and is so well cared for and loved. We have been with Diggity for almost eleven years and I can’t imagine going anywhere else. The staff has always been polite and helpful, they receive excellent training and just plain love dogs. Michelle, Will, Charlie, and Heather are wonderful. You just can’t do better.
Michelle and Heather are top notch. Diggity Dog is excellent. I always feel safe leaving my girl all day, and even over night and long boarding periods. I wouldn’t leave my girl with anyone else. Friendly, well kept, and recommend to anyone who wants their pupper to be safe and have a great experience.
I took my puppy for his interview yesterday. He’s 4 months old and was a bit nervous to start but by the time I picked him up had more than adapted and was clearly loving every moment. The staff is friendly and informative, and their drop off pick up system is great.they texted me several photos of him during the day (ex., below). I love that they back up their claims with live camera feeds. Being able to check in and watch my boy at any moment or all day was fantastic. We are now pass members and will be there regularly. I’m extremely excited for the additional enrichment opportunities next time.
We have been using Desert Dog for 8 years and our pups love going there. We have referred so many people who also go to Desert Dog. They love the dogs so much and we love them. Here are some of the fun photo shoots they do!! ❤️
We love Desert Dog! We feel safe leaving our pups in their care while we’re gone. They definitely come home exhausted after playing with friends during the stay! We LOVE the dog cam, so we can check in on our little guys! I love when they send us a photo of our pups!! The other pictures attached are after coming home from a good day of play!!
You love your dog(s) like they are your kid(s)? So do these kind folks. Cooder has been goin here for 5 years for daycare (3x weekly) and boarding. Every single one of these guys treats him as if he was theirs. Trustworthy and loyal are things I value in my dogs and people and Desert Dog nails it! ✔️ Thank you for being a business!!
Hands down absolutely one of the best doggy daycares in the whole valley! The staff is incredible and I love being able to watch my pups on the internet. The best thing about this place though is their incredible and thorough process at vetting dogs that can come to their doggy daycare. I have been to other doggy daycares where my dog has been attacked. That has never been the case here they have a strict interview process to make sure your dog is going to be compatible with the other dogs there at the doggie daycare. This is worth its weight in gold!!
I cannot say enough positive things about Desert Dog Daycare! They have truly gone above and beyond in providing exceptional care. After the loss of my dog's sibling, I was worried about his socialization skills and overall well-being. From the very beginning, the staff at Desert Dog showed a level of compassion and dedication that immediately put my mind at ease. They took the time to help my dog learn to play with other dogs again, ensuring he felt comfortable and safe in their loving environment. One of the standout features is their outstanding communication. I received updates and photos of my dog during his first day, which not only brightened my day but also provided peace of mind knowing he's having a great time. It's evident that they genuinely care about each and every dog in their care. I highly recommend them to any dog owner. They've not only helped my dog regain his confidence and socialize with other dogs but have also given me the peace of mind I've been looking for. Their dedication to the well-being of the dogs in their care is second to none, and I'm grateful to have found such an exceptional daycare for my beloved pet. Thank you for being a cut above the rest!
Magnus and I absolutely love Desert Dog! I enjoy being able to check in on him throughout the day on the cameras and he can't get enough play time with his friends as well as the pools that are out during the summer. Definite bonus points for them sending me pictures of my goofball at daycare now and then.
My dog Freya is hyper beyond belief. She never slows down. Enter Desert Dog Daycare. I can not believe how tired Freya is when we pick her up. She can't stay awake during the 10 minute drive home (see picture). They have several video cameras so I can watch my dog play. They have optional enrichment activities that provide mental and physical stimulation. They also take her warm coat off if it gets too hot, which I really appreciate. They have huge indoor and outdoor play areas. They offer boarding at a great price, which is awesome because your dog can play all day and you aren't paying for extra time out of their kennel like some other places. I'm so thankful I found this place. Thanks Desert Dog Daycare.
Desert Dog is The BEST!!! I am so happy that we found them, we use to take our Frenchie (Bentley) to another doggy daycare and he just didn’t get the love and care he does here!! Bentley goes crazy when we pull up to the building and can’t wait to get in and play!!! We love all the people there and we know they take great care of all the fur babies who stay with them!! I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a doggy daycare!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Katie was very pleasant & helpful. First time for our pup to visit & we were both a little nervous about his visit. He did very well socializing with other dogs. Place was clean & organized in the lobby & the doggie camera was nice to have to be able to check in!!!
I love bringing my dog here! He has the best time and comes home happy and exhausted (a tired dog is a good dog). I love that they offer hourly drop in, reasonable rates for day care and boarding, and offer free day care on birthdays and dog wash days. Super grateful to have them around on long work days or when I need to travel. My dog has a blast and the people are always kind, helpful, and good to my boy ❤️
I love Camp Barkalot, we have been coming here for 1.5 years and they are amazing! They take such good care of my Beasley boy and I can tell they love him so much and he feels the same! He is always so excited to go and when I come to pick him up they often have him out to me before I get inside. The staff is sweet and you know they love the animals and always give good advice if I ever have questions. Also they have the best prices around!
Brody loves going there! Thought he would have a hard time adjusting but the staff helped him feel right at home. They always show him love and are always welcoming! I recommend their services.
We absolutely love Camp Barkalot and always recommend them to anyone asking about daycare and/or boarding. Ever since my sweet girl Vala (border collie pit bull mix) has been old enough/fully vaccinated we’ve been bringing her here and they seriously don’t disappoint. Vala used to be pretty scared of, well everything and everyone, but she really came out of her shell here. She LOVES all her doggie furends and the staff at Camp Barkalot and just simply can’t contain herself whenever we pull up. As soon as we get inside she beelines straight to the back door to the medium barkers so she can get straight to business. Not only does Vala love it here but I couldn’t be happier with their care. And they truly do care. There have been a few times I’ve had to stay a little while after dropping her off to talk to the staff to give them a heads up about her eating something she shouldn’t have, she has an owie that is bandaged but tries to chew it off (she had to have a nail removed at the vet from running around at a park with me🤦🏻♀️) and sometimes they just give me peace of mind because I’m a worrywart and wasn’t sure if Vala was making furends (I was so very wrong thank goodness 😅) Any questions I have they are always more than happy to help me out. They are also so amazing with knowing all the dogs by name on sight. They are also wicked adorable and celebrate each dog as if they were their very own! Vala and I couldn’t be happier about finding Camp Barkalot 🤍
I love this place. My puppies love going to daycare here. The people who work here are friendly and welcoming, and I know my pups are well cared for when they are here. They play all day and are ready to rest when I get them home. The prices are affordable, and my puppies always smell so good when I pick them up at the end of the day. The staff always knows all the dogs names as they walk through the door, and greet them like it's their home away from home. They truly love animals and it's nice to know that my puppies are treated so well even though they may instigate a shenanigan or two during their stay. I have been coming to Camp Barkalot for nearly 10 years and I always recommend this place anytime I'm asked where I board or daycare my puppies. Thanks again for all your hard work, you guys are truly the best!
I have been bringing my dog, Stanley, here for years. He loves this place and the people here love him. They genuinely care for the animals and let me know when my dog seemed off. This lead to a diagnosis of a health issue I had not been aware of at the time but I am so grateful that they get to know the dogs so well that they can identify when they aren't themselves. He has a blast daily and gets to run, socialize, and play with others in way he couldn't due to our living in a condo. This place is fantastic!
I’ve been taking my dog to Camp Barkalot for a while now. She’s excited to go each morning and comes home exhausted each day so I know she’s getting a lot of exercise. My dog can be a bit of a handful and will chew on/eat collars but they have always been willing to work with us. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They post tons of pictures of the dogs throughout the day so you get to see the dogs plenty. It’s way less expensive than other dog daycares and I’m very happy with what I get for the price.
Everyone is super nice. My dog loves going to play vs sitting at home with no stimulation. They also have a Facebook page and upload photos thought the day so you can find pics of your pup having a great time. My dog loves water and they have an outside area with a pool so the dogs can get wet in the heat! Love this place!
We love Camp Barkalot. We’ve been going there for about 12 years. Our boys are excited to go every morning. It’s helped them to be socialized and civil with other dogs. Plus, they come home tired. A tired dog is a good dog! The staff really cares about our dogs. Autumn has been working with our two year old hound on entering the run calmly. They always take time to pet the boys. Our boys both give them 5 paws because they don’t know what a star is. It’s such a great experience for the dogs. They have their little happy faces on when they are there. That makes us happy too!
We have had to board our two cats here and we are very impressed with this facility! The room for cats is totally away from the dogs and there are NO crates or cages! The cats are allowed to free roam around the two rooms, food is available always, litter boxes are always clean. There are cat towers, cubby holes and toys. My boy is very shy and he has found a spot he loves to stay in where he feels safe and comfy! His sister is a little more out going, but she stays close to him. I would highly recommend Camp Barkalot for your fur baby anytime!
I’m very impressed with backyard boarding! I have an 11 month old puppy and had a planned vacation. I was super nervous to leave him for a week, but I was very impressed with the care he got! It was great knowing I could text as many times as needed to check in on my dog. Backyard hoarding did an amazing job taking care of my Freddy boy! He can home super happy! I will for sure use them again for my next trip.
Best doggy daycare/boarding/grooming place in N Salt Lake. We’ve tried other places, no one takes care of our Tash like this place!
We’ve been taking our dog here for over a year and love it! We just got a puppy and have been bringing him, they’re doing a great job at helping him adjust, feel comfortable and make friends. I’ve tried multiple other dog daycares and this one is by far the best! I would highly highly suggest this place over Coddled Critters, which is also in the NSL area.
I just started using Backyard for my two dogs, we had a dog daycare we loved back in Oklahoma and tried a few when we moved back to Utah and didn’t quite find a fit until now! My older pup is a very nervous girl and i get nervous trying a new place, I told the team and they were so kind and patient with her introducing her to the other dogs. I really appreciate them taking the time for her! Also the Dog after dark service is much appreciated!!
Beware, the dog that did this to my dog is still allowed at this facility. I had been taking my two dogs to doggy daycare here for a couple of months, however one weekend, while I was at a wedding I got a call that my dog had been attacked and needed to be taken to the emergency vet. My dog needed two layers of stitched under this right front leg and needed a Penrose drain placed in his back because the bite was that deep. The vet thinks the dog bit so deep she knicked a nerve and now he has been limping since the incident. It has been almost three weeks since this incident and were still on antibiotics and I am cleaning his wounds multiple times a day because of the excessive amount of bloody drainage. My fiancé has gone into the facility to get the footage of the incident that they apparently have. However we have still not got access to this said "footage". They also said that since they do not believe this dog "intended to hurt" my dog, that they "gave this dog a warning" as is still allowed to come back to this facility. I am just praying that another dog doesn't have to go through what my sweet boy has gone through because of this dog. It really should be a one and done rule. I won't be taking my dogs back here.
My dog LOVES IT here!!! It is the very first place that I’ve taken him where he drags me to the door instead of back to the car. The staff is kind and caring. I’m so happy we found it.
I can't say enough good things about this place!! My dog is an older girl and they do a fantastic job of accommodating her! They put her with the smaller dogs because they know that she doesn't like when other big dogs are in her face! I've had to go on quite a few week long trips and I have never once second guessed her care. They send me pictures whenever I ask for them and make me feel so sure that she is happy and living her best life! They remember her name when we walk in and she doesn't even hesitate to run through the door! My old girl, Ginger absolutely loves it here and I would never go anywhere else!
I'm excited to have found such a clean, safe, and fun environment to bring my dog Pete to for our family's daycare and boarding needs. It's obvious that the employees enjoy what they do and love the pets they take care of! I recommend them 100%!
I used Backyard Dogcare for about 2 months while staying in Salt Lake City and could not have been happier with the experience. CJ sprinted to the door every time we went there and came home happy and tired. I used them for daycare and boarding and highly recommend them for both. When I am back in SLC I will definitely be using them again.
I dropped my last dog daycare provider after 7 years due to recurrent neglect and abuse of my pups so I interviewed several dog daycares before entrusting them with my dogs. I have absolutely loved the friendly staff here. It’s amazing how far simple customer service can go and to top it off they are so in tune with my dogs. I text them for updates and they share videos, I’ve asked them to watch for specific character items I’m working on and they HELP. It’s so amazing. I left already purchased day passes at that last place and am so sad I waited so long to switch. I’m grateful for the staff here. <3
Terrible grooming experience. First of all the store smelled terrible like feces and urine. They kept my dog there for 7 hours for a simple groom, she came back dehydrated and extremely stressed. They cut her nails but they are jagged and splintered. Not only did they treat my dog poorly but the groomer called and told me my dog couldn’t be groomed because of how stressed she was even though she hasn’t had a problem before. I was told I was a bad dog owner for home grooming her and needed to put her into compliance training so people could do whatever they wanted to her. When I mentioned I don’t have the money to pay a professional groomer every 3-4 weeks like they recommend they said it was my fault for having an expensive dog. My dog is my life and has been in training programs. I hate the way they treated her and me. I do NOT recommend taking your dog here for anything. The dogs are behind a door you can’t see into so there’s no way to know how clean anything is or how they treat the dogs. It is a very high stress environment with lots of dogs just running around rampant and barking constantly. They also rubberbanded some decoration onto her head which knotted her fur and I had to cut it out.
My sister told me about this place to leave my dogs for 2 nights while we went to a cabin. I’m not a fan of leaving my dogs at doggy daycares but I trust my sister and I’m very pleased how well they took care of my English Mastiff and my Yorkie. Very friendly stuff and you can tell they loved my dogs. Definitely give them 5 star and won’t hesitate to bring Togo and Rocco to them again. Much love ❤️❤️
I was genuinely debating posting this review but I am still upset and I hope this review helps others. I brought my 7yo poodle for his 8 wk grooming appointment. We left our previous groomer because he was exhibiting a lot of anxiety to the point it was concerning. We tried dogs all day because the other reviews were great! The desk staff was kind and great. I left the grooming instructions with the girl who checked him in and dropped him off. Let me say my dog is my life. He is also my service dog. So I take very good care of him and do whatever I can to provide for him. When I went to go pick him up I asked to speak with the groomer about his ears (he’s a poodle, they ALWAYS HAVE BAD EARS). He has already been to the doctor and we collectively decided having a groomer take care of them would be best rather than having us try. When they brought him out, he was shaved almost down to the skin. But he was so hyped up the j could not get a good look at him. Jesse, the groomer, came out and immediately was began talking at me with a volume 8 level tone and attitude. She proceeded to ask me how often I groom him. I told her 6-7 times a year. She responded by questioning my answer and in the same breathe insinuating that I neglected him. I asked how is ears looked when she cleaned them. She told me she trimmed them but she would not clean the inside until he saw a vet. It wasn’t until I got him home that I saw that his nose and tail were uneven. He is so cold that we have had to have him wear a sweater 24/7 until it gets warmer and his hair grows out. Needless to say, I will not be back.
Great place have used for years now - Duncan is still happy to go and happy to come home. He gets a bath and brush every week and is a bit shy of the dryer but they deal with it. I would recommend them to anyone.
Top notch grooming and friendly, personable staff. I know my pup is in good hands and love that he gets to be around other small dogs during the day. I love that I can drop him off before work and pick him up after. Hurray for Dogs All Day!
They should update their hours on Google; I wasn't able to go into this store because google said it was open when it wasnt, but after seeing the piles of food and petcare products thrown in the back lot, their hours being wrong seem to be the least of their organizational concerns. Dog and cat food were piled with pet bedding; tarps thrown over some product while other were destroyed by rain. What's most upsetting is this seems to be the donations to their non-profit organization next door. I went there for shampoo to avoid buying from a big named store, but I wouldn't trust any products from this place.
For the love of God keep your pets away! After falling behind on my bill this woman kept my dogs and continued charging me nightly! For months! Thousands and thousands of dollars later MOST of my dogs were out. Crisis shelter? They turn people away left and right (I know this from working in shelters for years). I was told by staff that the business is failing and "she" whoever the owner is, needs the money. What she did was completely illegal per animal control, SLCPD and two attorneys. We are going to small claims court over money she now owes me. PLEASE find another facility! The owner is as twisted as they come!
I love this place their prices are just right the staff are wonderful I'd definitely recommend this place I take my buckett there every other week for grooming nails cut and anal glands all for 20 dollars you can't beat that and the staff are what make it the best definitely recommend to anyone
I absolutely love this place! I bring my dog twice a week and he is so happy every time we pull up. Affordable doggy day care and affordable mail clippings too. The staff is always so friendly, helpful and remember me when I come in. I’ve gone to many doggy day cares over the years in many cities with a few dogs. This is the only one I have ever truly been amazed with. I don’t feel guilty dropping my dog off because I know he’s going to have a great day. He typically falls asleep in the truck before it’s even started when I pick him up. Cannot recommend enough!
They did a great job on both of our fur babies. Definitely recommend, we will be coming back. Thanks!!
My puppy Maisey has been going to daycare and doing some training at Liberty Bark. They take great care of her and her confidence around other dogs is getting better. I highly recommend this place! I love to see the photos they send of her with their pupdates! The staff is friendly and answers my questions. I really like their trainer Benny! The owner is really kind too. Maisey will continue to go here! The only thing I don't like is the red dirt they use. My dog is mostly white and comes home so stained. 🙃
Specter had such a good time here. He made so many friends specifically an Irish wolfhound and a bully breed looking dog along with a reddish dog. I was in Utah for national guard training I am very happy with them and the fact my dog had an amazing time
Fantastic day care and boarding! One of the best we’ve ever used. We moved our dogs from City Pet Club after our lab was bitten and they could not explain how or why, refused to talk to us regarding the possibility of a refund or paying at least part of the vet bill and literally did not return our calls. Night and day difference. Liberty Bark keeps you updated with photos, communicates with texts, and (most importantly) love the dogs as if they are their own. The structured day care is amazing and the option to have them trained while there during the day is amazingly affordable and so helpful. Love them!
I’ve boarded my dog here four times over the past 10 months. Twice were weekend trips and twice were 5+ days. She requires extra care as she can show reactivity with people and other dogs. The staff shows expertise in handling tricky dogs. They send daily photos included in the cost of boarding. They provide detailed progress reports if you pay the extra fee for them as well. My dog gets the opportunity to socialize in a safe environment and she comes back to me happy and tired. I so appreciate the care the staff provides for me to have peace of mind while out of town.
What an amazing place with amazing staff! We were having trouble finding a place to board our boxers for vacation (our sweet girl is not always so sociable with other dogs) and they graciously took them with no fuss. We got regular updates on their progress, and prompt communication about even the most minor issues that came up. We could tell when we picked them up that they were not starved for love or attention! We will definitely be taking them back for training and socialization!
Liberty Bark is without a doubt the best dog hotel I’ve ever taken my dog to! For nearly 3 years I struggled bringing my 100+ lb pitbull-mix around other dogs and would have to have him isolated from other dogs while at dog hotels when I left town. I decided to give Liberty bark a try and they have worked with him, helping him so much with his reactivity to other dogs and leash pulling. They know what they are doing and I can’t thank them enough for taking such amazing care my dog! I highly recommend them for overnight stays, daycare and training, especially if you have a dog who needs some extra attention / work.
I cannot recommend Liberty Bark enough! The staff there are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I have a 5 month old labradoodle pup who is tons of energy and in the process of learning good manners. They are all extremely patient with her. They also seem to care about her and the other dogs as if they are their own! I feel great dropping Scout off while I work during the week. I always get updates and pictures which is the highlight of my day! Thanks Liberty Bark! Yall rock.
I recently started using Liberty Bark for doggy daycare. It has been such a great experience for me and my dog. The staff are super awesome and caring. I love the pawgress reports and report cards. I have used other dog sitters in the Salt Lake area and non have been this great.
I’ve been terribly disappointed with Liberty Bark. They do not have cameras which is not inherently wrong, but they lack transparency, never inviting clients into the facility. You drop your dog off at the door. On several occasions, I was unable to reach someone via phone call (during business hours) while my dog was in their care. I was forced to use a text system, and no one would speak to me. Once was after they shared a photo of my dog where she was foaming at the mouth, and I called to check on her. I paid extra for report cards and received one photo each day without notes about how she was doing. Most notably, my dog hunkers to the ground and refuses to go inside without being carried. She is clearly fearful. When I’ve used other daycare and boarding services, she is excited to go in and never scared. Something feels very off about this facility, and I do not recommend it.
My very wonderful very covid puppy was given time to spend at Liberty Bark to mentally prep for a 9 day boarding experience. The amazing owner Liz and i came up with a plan that would help acclimate him to the experience. He feel in love with Liberty bark after the first minute. Now we have to spell it out to to avoid all the happy tippy taps. I get daily pup dates and live for every single one. He is learning good dog pack behaviors and when your baby is 100 pounds he needs to learn these skills. Could not speak higher even if i tried. They are all so wonderful.
