Karen & Matt were an absolutely wonderful couple to sit for, entrusting me with their gorgeous family home and beloved Holly dog.
They were kind, helpful and very prompt with replying if I needed to reach out with any questions during my stay.
I would happily sit for them time and time again ✨

Sauce is a 10 out of 10 kitty - one of my most favs! He is calm, confident, and communicative. He will ask for hugs and pets when he wants, will hang out with you on the patio, and greet you in the driveway - but I didn't find him overly "needy" (if you listen to him and respond) and he spends a lot of time just chilling in his bed with the epic view out the window. He has a kitty door and auto feeder for his dry food so care is simplified.

The home is stunning - clean, modern/artsy, and minimalist. A little too minimalist for me and I found some things missing. There is modern gear for roasting, grinding, and making espresso - but no teapot/electric kettle. It was very odd to be standing in this high tech home boiling water in a pot. Also - it was not disclosed that the microwave was broken so I had to stand on the hard floors (no mats) with a hip injury to use the stove since the micro was broken.

Being injured, I definitely noticed there are 5 steps up to the house with no railing, the steps up to the hottub have no railing and are uneven. There are minimal floor coverings so mostly hard floors.

The bed is very comfy and the sheets are softest cotton. There are nice blackout curtains in the bedroom and an air filter you can turn on for some white noise. It's a relaxing and quiet room for sleep. There wasn't really anywhere to put my things other than on top of the dresser.

The house has some higher tech features than what I'm used to and there was no house manual.

The downstairs of the home is a separate unit that may be rented out as an Air BNB and those guests might take the one parking spot next to the house. The unit was occupied and the driveway taken - none of which was disclosed to me before the sit. I specifically chose this sit over others due to having parking near the house so that was impactful.

BUT - All that is in the past. Chris and Elaine were very open to my feedback and apologetic. They have both had some unexpected things come up and they just haven't had a chance to do all the things they would like to prep for sitters. Chris and I spoke the most and I enjoyed every conversation. They are aware of what needs to improve. I believe it will be a beyond 5 out 5 star experience going forward. The location is very convenient yet peaceful. Beautiful people, beautiful view, and awesome Sauce! I highly recommend this sit!
