Brandi took great care of our house, 3 cats, and garden during the latter part of a week long sit. Despite not being able to greet her in person (since we split the sit into two segments), Brandi handled things like a pro. She FaceTimed us upon arrival to go over details, and found one of our cats, Lil, who was hiding after being spooked since the previous sitter left that morning. Brandi coaxed Lil out from under the bed and gave her a late breakfast, which made us feel at ease. She also sent a video of our elder cat Neil coughing, just to make sure it was normal, which we really appreciated. Brandi sent us regular photos and updates, and as she got more comfortable, let two of the cats outside to have some supervised play time in the nice weather. She was attentive, self-sufficient, asked great questions, and made sure the cats didn't eat each others' food! She seemed to grow more comfortable daily, even saying she loves our little prancess, Lil, who can be tricky sometimes! Additionally, she watered our young trees and some new transplants when requested, as we were concerned about the lack of rain during the week. We also appreciated Brandi's open communication, particularly when a concern came up for us, and we were able to work together to resolve it quickly. We came home to a clean and tidy house, happy cats, and a little homemade treat she left for us. We'd be happy to have her sit for us again. Thanks, Brandi!

Our first house sit and inaugural visit to Mozambique was made incredibly special by our wonderful stay at Stephanie and Geoff's place. Right from the start, they made us feel so welcome with their warmth and hospitality. The cozy atmosphere of their home instantly made us feel at ease.
Stephanie and Geoff's cats, Pixie, Nacho, and Fridah, are really lovely. Each feline friend had a unique personality, and it was delightful getting to know them. Nacho, or as we affectionately called him, Nachito, was such a trooper when it came to his eye and ear medication. Despite not being a fan of the ear drops, he handled it with surprising grace. Nacho is so loving, he’s a big baby. I enjoyed cuddling with him every night.
Pixie, on the other hand, preferred the indoors, spending quality time with us and becoming our cozy companion within the confines of the house. Fridah with her adventurous spirit, enjoyed the outdoors and showcased her impressive hunting skills by almost catching a bird.... almost.
Stephanie's home is situated in a secure location, conveniently close to restaurants and malls, and just a 20-minute stroll away from the beach. We were very generously given the use of their car, which made it possible for us to explore Maputo as much as we did. Exploring their neighborhood was also one of our favorite activities, whether it was taking morning walks for exercise or stumbling upon hidden gems like the delightful café and pastry shop merely 5 minute's walk from the house. We also enjoyed the local neighborhood pub, Buso, which has delicious food and features craft beers, including a delightful IPA, which we found nowhere else.
All in all, our stay at Stephanie and Geoff's place was a perfect introduction to Mozambique, thanks to their hospitality, the charming feline companions, and the vibrant neighborhood. Thank you, Stephanie and Geoff for opening your house to us. We genuinely felt at home and would love to return in the future if given the opportunity.

We had a lovely time taking care of Findi. As mentioned, he does take a bit of time to warm to you and likes everything on his terms, but he is very sweet, affectionate and playful and we enjoyed learning about his personality during our stay. Sonja was extremely easy to communicate with and we kept in touch leading up to the sit. She provided us with loads of information about caring for Findi, details about her home and recommendations in the area which all proved to be very helpful during the sit. Her flat is very comfortable, has all the amenities you could want, and is nice and quiet. There are multiple public transit options right near her place, and it was quite easy to find our way back into the city when we wanted to. All in all, we would definitely recommend this sit and we very much enjoyed ourselves. Thank you Sonja and Findi, it was such a pleasure to meet you!

I had such a great stay in Minneapolis with Mose! He is an adorable and affectionate little guy who is also super fun. Sarah’s home was very cozy, tastefully decorated and had everything to make for a wonderful stay. I was not able to meet her in person, but we did have a FaceTime chat. She was very easy to communicate with and answered any questions I had. I would very highly recommend this stay!
