We had a great housesit in Kelowna for Rick and Jules! They are easy to communicate with and responded quickly to our questions. Their 3 dogs, Murphy, Marlee and Lola are total sweethearts and we really enjoyed our time with them. Beautiful walks and hikes are conveniently right out the door, and the house has a stunning view of the lake. We felt as though we were out of the City, it was peaceful and quiet - yet we were within minutes of all amenities. Rick and Jules are gracious hosts and we wouldn’t hesitate to house and dog sit for them again. Thank you!
We loved this sit. Beautiful pets, beautiful neighborhood, beautiful house. Peep likes to spend a lot of her day out and about doing her thing, very laid back and loves cuddles. Willow loves cuddling as well and she goes crazy for walks, so freaking adorable, Zak and I fell in love with them. Both very well behaved. The house, you can tell is a very loved for and well-cared for home. If you like plants then this is the spot, the home has them all over and it adds even more vibrance to the place. Lea and Jack were awesome, such great people. Thank you for this sit opportunity!
Summary: Lovely dogs. Beautiful neighborhood. Nice hosts. Some challenges with the home. Detailed review: We loved the dogs. Bailey and Olive were gentle and sweet, and pretty easy to walk, although reactionary to other dogs, cats, and squirrels. They are big strong dogs so best for two people to walk or walk them separately. The Bayou St John neighborhood is full of beautiful old houses and massive oak trees, and City Park (with Cafe du Monde) is just a 20 minute walk away which we loved. The Bayou is a lovely place to walk in the evening. You could walk to the French Quarter in 45 min or Uber in 10. Most sights of NOLA are close enough for an outing, and as the dogs have a dog door they can be left for a bit while the sitters explore. We did have some challenges with the house, which is old and lovely and full of character, but has some quirks. The pool was very difficult to keep clean due to a large shedding tree in the yard (might not be an issue at some times of the year), and even with our 2 or 3 times a day cleaning, without more involved care we couldn’t keep the pool clean enough to use by the end of our stay. The house is lovely but a little cluttered, and there are some floorboards in need of replacing that one needs to be careful of. Rachel and Brad were very responsive and always available to answer any questions or concerns. Overall we had a good stay, we would stay again and would recommend this sit to others, it is definitely best suited for a couple.
Carli was so easy going and organized. Fancy pants is super friendly and will be at your side the instant she notices you heading to the kitchen (her cute face is so hard to resist giving her more food than her daily limit). Heidi is beautiful as well. She much prefers that you pretend she doesn't exist then she will feel at ease chilling where you are. 100% recommend house sitting here. Thanks for everything Carli.
Carol was a very welcoming host. We came the day before she left. She made us supper, we met Buddy and Sophie, and spent the night in the guest room. The cats are dears. Buddy enjoys human interaction more, and they both love bird watching on the back porch. The accommodations are great, and near anything you might need. Greenville is a great city to explore. We would definitely sit hear again.
Had such a lovely sit with Kimchi. She is the sweetest cat ever and so fluffy ! Mateusz and Aleksandra were so lovely and had great communication as well. I will miss Kimchi so much and hope to see her again one day soon! Highly recommend this sit . :)
