Louise and Jay are the absolute best housesitters anyone could ever have. We were gone for a 9 day international trip, and everything from our initial facetime chat to our meet was lovely. Our dogs are seniors and have quite a few health issues from anxiety to being deaf and overall just very difficult dogs to care for, and they made us feel at ease about it. They left our home in immaculate shape and even left us a gift. Anyone would be lucky to have Jay & Louise house and pet sit for them, they were wonderful!
We enjoyed our stay,nice dogs easy to handle and we could make a lot of walks with them early in the morning and in the evening round the lake area. We also made some trips in the area, which were very close by and they were beautiful. The house was very nice and Clio and family were a relaxed family.
Patsy and Kevin were very kind and made me feel most welcome with a delicious meal upon arrival and were able to thoroughly familiarize me with everything prior to their departure. The views from the upper floor, across towards Cardigan Bay were spectacular and If you enjoy dramatic scenery with great woodland walks nearby you will not be disappointed. Oskar the Bearded Collie is a total love bug and very responsive to commands. He was very mellow at home and a bundle of energy on the trail.....always checking in and never straying too far. I was fortunate to hang out with the local dog walking group on a few occasions who were very welcoming and have a wealth of knowledge about the area. The old kitty sleeps outside on her heated bed and was a very easy keeper, occasionally coming to the window to remind me it was ‘that time again’ ! Communication throughout was very good and Patsy and Kevin were very thoughtful supplying me with maps , books et al. Thank you so much guys, your kindness and hospitality was most appreciated.
