it was an absolute pleasure to work with Annie and take care of sweet Mikey in Annie’s absence. From our very first contact Annie mad me welcome. Upon my arrival, Annie gave me a comprehensive in person orientation. Super friendly. From the very beginning , all the way to the end of my sit, Annie was made sure I had everything I needed to feel comfortable. Mikey was a joy to be with. He is very loving cat who loves to cuddle, play, and is super easy to take care of. I felt very welcomed by him and I would describe him as a “dog cat “ - in that he is extremely social and outgoing. At h same time he has his quiet moments, sleeping during the day for hours at a time. Annie‘s house is very comfortable with luxurious amenities such as a beautiful bathroom, with a HUGE shower! There are luxurious touches throughout the home such as beautifully crafted stone countertops. Annie’s home was a great place to rest after exploring all of the outdoor wonders in and around the Reno area. If you get a chance to take care of Mikey, do not hesitate!

Elaine & Mike
Elaine & Mike were terrific, generous hosts. They kindly collected us from the airport and allowed us to use their car during our stay. Plus, they had heaps of great recommendations for the city. Their home is on a lovely street with a stunning park nearby -- the perfect place to walk Cooper! He's a great, playful dog with lots of energy (probably best for someone with some dog experience). We had a great time walking and playing with him. M is a delightful cat. We didn't see much of him (he likes to be outside), but he is very smart and loves a good brushing and treat. A wonderful stay in a wonderful place!

Lee
I very much enjoyed pet sitting at Lee and Roberta's special home in the lovely nature preserve complete with a pond, stream, animals, birds, and flowering plants. The two cats were sweet and easy to care for.

Molly is a gray tabby, who made up with me quickly but is still independent. She does come around looking for playtime, love, and treats. We figured out each other's routines and fell into any easy relationship.

Cocoa is a tuxedo cat and more reserved than her younger sister. She is beautiful with bright green eyes. She also likes to play and seeks out love, but not as frequently. She never misses treat time.

Both cats will come running when you announce it is time for treats. They are both intelligent and inquisitive.

The home reflects pride of ownership, especially the nature preserve. Lee is very knowledgeable about the plants, animals, and birds on the property. He has many feeders, which provide hours of entertainment as you watch out of one of the many expansive windows. There are hiking trails which get you up close and personal with nature. The home is filled with an eclectic collection of antiques and travel memorabilia.

I was able to meet with Lee and Roberta at their home for a complete orientation prior to the sit. They were readily available for any questions I encountered along the way. They also left complete instructions with me along with maps/ideas of what to see in the area. The cleaner stopped by to clean the house, which made it easy for me to keep it clean.

The sit can be a quiet retreat communing with the kitties and nature, or you can visit many lively sites and restaurants a short distance away.

I recommend this sit if you enjoy cats, nature, and caring hosts.

Fred
I really enjoyed housesitting for Fred. His dog, Sheilah, is such a sweetheart. We went on a few walks together, as I got out and enjoyed the beautiful Placerville area. Sheilah was great in the car and she’s the easiest dog I’ve ever taken for walks. When we’d get back home she’d run around and play for a bit, then settle onto my lap and we’d hang out while I watched TV or a movie.

Fred’s house is in Camino, which is up in the hills, just past Placerville. The property is gated and private, sitting back in the trees. It’s a peaceful and lovely home, so nice I almost didn’t want to go anywhere. But I’m glad I did. I visited Placerville (which is a bit busy and touristy for me), I hiked around Jenkinson Lake, at Sly Park, to a small waterfall (with Sheilah), and rounded my adventures out with a trip to Marshall Gold Discovery State Park on my way back home. It was a great mini-vacation and mountain getaway!

Our stay at Tracey & Chris’s house was really nice, they welcome us very well, make us feel confortable and at ease. The house is nice with a lot of space and a big garden.
Alan is a charming nice village with beautiful view of the Pyrénées!
Alfie is a very cute dog, he likes to go everywhere with us, he’s very easy and so sweet !! He’s also a good walker. The cats are nice too, one of them is very shy so we didn’t see her a lot but the other one like to come for some cuddles :)
A une prochaine fois !
