Andy and Anne's lovely house is located in a quiet village in the Western Lake District in the Wasdale Valley. Oscar and Watson are both lovely dogs, with distinct personalities. Although my sit was only for 2 days/1 night, we enjoyed different walks straight from the door, and spent some time playing in the enclosed garden. Super hosts (communication from Andy prior to my stay was great), a beautiful house in a stunning location, and 2 wonderful dogs - it's the perfect combination. I highly recommend sitting for Oscar and Watson, and I'd happily make a return visit.
Housesitting for Ritambra and caring for Tilly and Kobe was very enjoyable in her clean and comfortable apartment. Both Tilly and Kobe were very easy to look after. Tilly was very obedient and loved her tummy rubs and following us from room to room. Kobe kept to herself during most of the day but at night would come out and cuddle up to us. Ritambra was very helpful and easy to communicate with, providing all the information we needed, particularly around Tilly’s medications which were easy to administer. Tilly takes a little time to get out of the apartment for her walk but once she’s outside she is a delight to walk. Rarely pulling on the lead and always walking on the left hand side of you which is a bonus when walking on the river walkway where the push bikes whiz past you. The neighbourhood is fantastic and so close to everything. It’s an easy walk to numerous restaurants, coffee shops and pubs as well as only being a 5 minute walk away from the Gasworks Plaza shopping centre. The bus stop is a stone’s throw from the apartment and Glider bus will get you into the city within 15 minutes. Or if you prefer you can walk down to the ferry terminal and catch the ferry into Brisbane. We would definitely recommend this housesit.
Julie and Fred are very organized and keep a spotless, clean home. They left excellent instructions and were easy to get in touch with. The lovely cats, Boris and Natasha, were easy to look after and liked hanging around for company when not snoozing their lives away! The location was perfect - walking distance to grocery stores, pharmacy, restaurants, etc. And lets not forget the wonderful bus service that made getting around town so easy.
It was a pleasure sitting for Zola. She is the sweetest. Aryn and her partner were great at communicating everything I needed to know to have an amazing stay at their cozy home.
