Peter & I really enjoyed looking after Bramble & Basil, two lovely dachshunds for the past week. The dogs are well trained with Bramble loving her walks in the field behind the house while Basil the older dog stayed and played on the back lawn with the toys and enjoyed a good cuddle. Vicky & Christopher were excellent hosts meeting us on arrival with a lovely meal. Everything was throughly explained about the dogs and the information pack was laden with all the things we needed to know about the house. The house was very comfortable, set in a beautiful village and gave us the chance to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Would be very happy to sit again in the future. Iris & Peter
This is one of the greatest petsitting we've made. The dogs are sooooo cute and funny. Easy to handle and they obey always. Cats are independent but super friendly and playful. The bird is easy to take care, just have to talk to him : ) The house is very nice and comfortable. The neighbourhood is really nice and quite. Nikki, Paul and Ben are a great family and made us feel like being at home. We recommend a lot this petsitting!!
I had an absolutely marvelous time in Sleepy Hollow with Sparky. Kalen and Rob were incredibly gracious hosts and went well above and beyond to make me feel welcome and ensure that I had a wonderful stay. Aside from excellent communication leading up to and during the stay, beautiful accommodations, a delicious welcome meal, gifted produce to prepare in their wonderful kitchen, and helpful tips and resources to enjoy my time, they kindly allowed me to share the experience with a couple loved ones. I felt very safe and secure in the home, despite the entire Westchester emergency services brigade coming to check on me due to a faulty censor. There are so many lovely, historical, cultural, literary, and delicious things to check out in their area. It was less than a mile walk (safe and pretty well lit) to the main drags of Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown. It couldn't have been easier to walk to the Metro North train and run into the city to catch a show or a meal with friends. Sparky is 16 but still pretty spry for a wise old man. He's spunky and fun, the mayor of the neighborhood. Everyone loves him, and it's very easy to see why. I really enjoyed playing with him and having him as my coworker. The stairs are a bit too much for him, and honestly, they can be a bit tough for a human too. So he'll bark to let you know he needs a lift back upstairs to be with you, but otherwise he's pretty chill and very wonderful. You'd never regret doing this sit or befriending this family. You might have to fight me for their next trip :)
Ollie is an amazing dog! The apartment is in an amazing location to EXPLORE Boston from. Like mentioned in the listing, Jamaica Plain is a very tightknit neighborhood with a quaint main Street area to enjoy. Alyssa and Ricky were communicative & helpful all throughout our stay. Having a park conveniently across the street made fetch time with Ollie so accessible. A real pleasant surprise awaited us as we first arrived as Alyssa and Ricky so awesomely left us a bottle of wine, decadent, snacks, and a feedback sheet. We are so grateful for their choosing us as it was a stay to remember and one we undoubtably recommend! Thank you for reading!
The birds will sing all day, making it sound like your in a tropical rainforest! My mom loved it and thought it was super cute. Chico was fun to hold. Freddy was a super good and easy boy, doesn’t like to long of walks but loves the dog park. Kathy was so kind to leave her car for me which made it easy to discover Sarasota. I went to siesta key, lido beach, Bradenton beach, st Pete pier, and Sarasota jungle gardens & fed alligator & flamingos !
Monica was an excellent host and Cairo was really lovely! The house is in a really good location, close to the CBD and with all the amenities. Cairo is a very good boy and well behaved, so it was amazing to take care of him these days! I would definitely recommend this sit and I would definitely repeat it!
