We had a lovely week looking after Douglas, Haggis (D&H) and the chickens at the cottage-a delightful home. D&H are quite the double act and kept us entertained throughout our stay. There are some nice walks direct from the cottage gate which made exploring the local countryside very simple. We kept D&H on their leads as there were sheep in a number of the surrounding fields. The chickens were beautiful, not a phrase I ever thought I would say, but they are and very easy to look after. Pre-sit communication was excellent and Camilla and her family made to feel right at home from our arrival. Our room was lovely with a most beautiful view over the fields to wake up to. We spent most our time in the family kitchen or outside in the garden as we hit it very lucky with the weather :) Marlborough was ten minutes drive away and is a great town with all the amenities and shops you would need. We very much enjoyed the sushi station at Waitrose and treated ourselves to lunch at Rick Stein’s restaurant. The week flew by and we wished it had been longer … perhaps next time ;)
We enjoyed our time in Glynn and Margaret's lovely home which is in a country and quiet location yet only 10 minutes drive into town. We were welcomed with a lovely meal and conversation and given a bedroom with a really comfortable bed and ample storage space plus a bathroom with bath and seperate shower cubicle. The kitchen has everything you need and easy to work in. We enjoyed walks from the door with Jet and Storm the labs but they were good in the car too. Daisy the cat is a cutie and snuggled on my lap. As we were told, Oscar kept his distance but was spotted a few times so we knew he was ok. We had good communication both before and during the sit. Thankyou for trusting us to care for your home and pets.
Sitting for Chad and Gen was pure joy. They live in a comfortable house in a quiet neighborhood conveniently located to everything Denver has to offer. Chad is very personable and left us great notes. The highlight was seeing the personalities of the pups and kitties shine through. Pepper Potts is incredibly affectionate and can speak to you through her eyes. Hashbrown loves to run around and play with his stuffed toys. He and Pepper Potts are hilarious to watch together. They both enjoyed walking and were very good on leash. Severus is one very smart and playful cat. He let me know when it was time to play by bringing me one of his toys so we could play fetch. Letto kept to himself most of the time but made an occasional appearance for head and back scratches. I thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with these four and I highly recommend this sit if you get the opportunity!
I really enjoyed this sitting, Nany is an absolutely wonderful, sweet and friendly cat. Ivet is a great hostess, communication with her is perfect and her home is very clean and cosy. I will be happy to look after Nany again in the future :).
We are very grateful to Nima for welcoming us into her home and allowing us to meet Memo and Máximo! We enjoyed taking care of them, they are 2 very independent cats and spending these days at their house was very relaxing for us because it is a very quiet neighborhood and the place it offers you to sleep is very comfortable and cozy. Nima is an excellent host, it’s clear that she has a lot of experience in this and knows very well what she does, she is a very organized, clear and practical person when giving instructions, in addition to being very kind and fun to talk to. We definitely recommend this experience😊
A special thanks to Tina and Bob for such a lovely housesit. It was so kind of Bob to cook a delicious meal as Tina helped me become familiar with the animals' individual needs. Their house was a welcome respite in the hill country with lots of great views, a pool, comfortable beds, and a well stocked kitchen. Taking care of two dogs, three cats, and a goat was a special treat - with each animal gaining a special place in my heart (though I'd have to say that Twilight was my favorite). With great hiking areas and short drive away, Dripping Springs was a terrific place to stay.
