Tom and Karen are superb pet sitters. They communicated clearly and provided excellent care for our aging kitty who had need for medication and close observation while we were out of town. Their care for her was sensitive and loving; we are very grateful for their expertise and attentiveness. The house was impeccably clean upon our return, with everything in place. We offer our highest recommendation.
Kimmy & Kai were very sweet, high energy labs! We had a blast running and retrieving in the dog park just behind their apartment. They got along very well with my own pup. The location is perfect for exploring Seattle. Free parking behind the building and public transportation right in front. It was a great experience!
Perfect sit: from first chat to first visit to first and last overnight. I loved everything about this sit...Phil, his immaculate, compact house and surrounding small town/community feeling, 3 sweet kitties, amazing nearby beach and saltwater bath swimming and supportive friends, great library and accessible transport, shops, parks, walks....all you could ask for or need in a sit. Phil himself is a gem--only wants the best for the sitter to enjoy themselves on their stay and enjoy his house and cats. No problem there. What's not to enjoy?! A perfectly kept house and 3 lovely cats who adore you, sleep with you if given the chance, and each have their own personality and spirit. I had time each morning and afternoon after feeding cats to swim or otherwise explore, which I did on a daily basis...swam at Bar Beach regularly in the brisk water, then warmed up with a hot water shower in the public restroom, a coffee, conversation, and whale watching with Phil's local resident swim friends, one of which knitted me a neck warmer and beanie as she saw I was still shivering after swimming. I also had time to take the ferry to Stockton just across the harbor, walk out the Newcastle breakwater and watch seals, bus to Blackbutt animal Reserve, and walk to various other afternoon pleasures. All these things made me want to be a resident in this cute little community didn't-feel-like-a-city of Newcastle. Phil even graciously gave me gift certificates at his favorite nearby restaurant (just steps from his house) where I enjoyed tasty meals and tea numerous times when I didn't feel like cooking. Got invited back by the many swim friends who had made me feel welcome from the start. Phil and his friends might also come visit me. All are invited. What more could you ask for?
If you love horses, ranch life, mountains, incredible views and plenty of time outside then this is the most perfect house sit. The house is super comfortable, all the animals are impeccably well behaved and great fun to be around, the views are so impressive they don’t even seem real and it’s the perfect balance between remote enough that you feel like you’ve ‘got away from it all’ and convenience, with the amenities of Westcliffe 15mins away. Kerry is also a great person who we enjoyed a few meals and many chats with! Overall, we can’t recommend this house sit enough :)
We only took care of Dora the cat during this sit, and he was chill and cuddly. He likes to venture outdoors and is good about coming back. Jennifer was kind and accommodating. We recommend this sit. Thanks for having us.
