I cannot say enough good things about Jo and our first experience! Jo and I had a chance to meet prior to her stay with our parrot, Zeke, which gave me such peace of mind. We chatted like old friends for an hour and a half! Birds can be messy-Jo had our condo absolutely spotless when we returned. She even cleaned up our deck where we feed wild birds, which was awesome & greatly appreciated. She checked in with us & even sent pics. Zeke really warmed up to her, getting on her shoulder when she wanted some of her breakfast. Jo actually found one more food Zeke likes! I can’t begin to explain the peace I had over my vacation knowing Jo was there. She, and this website, are heaven sent! We highly recommend Jo for any type of pet sit! I am also thankful for meeting a new friend!
Looking after Bailey and Xocho at Jo's home was lovely. Bailey is a very warm, friendly, easygoing and independent cat , and Xocho is a beautiful, interesting salamander whoae needs are very simple. Both were a pleasure to look after. Jo is awesome, she is lovely and her communication and clarity are second to none.regular cobtact was easy, natural and fluid even despite a time difference. Jo and Stew are warm welcoming and very generous with their home and equipment. Their home is right next to Dartmoor National Park, in an ideal drivable location for exploring Devon, and public transport links are very good too. I'd be happy to housesit for them again for sure. The cottage is really homely. I wish them all the best in everything
We had a wonderful time with Dufus. He is such an affectionate and loving cocker spaniel, a real joy to spend time with. Incredibly friendly towards everybody he meets , and a pleasure to walk. His tail never stops wagging and what he wants from you most of all , is lots of love and cuddles. We were more than happy to oblige ! Dominique and Tim are lovely people , so welcoming and they left us a very helpful and clear welcome guide . They also have great neighbours who were always available should any problem arise . We drove every day to one of the many National Trust parks in the area but there are many walks you can do without the car. We also visited Petworth which is a lovely small town with lots of antique and interesting independent shops and of course Petworth House , which is worth a visit. But really the highlight of this sit is gorgeous Dufus. We miss him badly already !!
House/cat sitting for Allison in NYC was a dream! Pip and Dot are the sweetest cats and very low-maintenance. Allison has her place set up perfectly for the cats, with automatic feeders so that you know they always have enough food, and a water filter/fountain so that they’ve always got fresh water. Her apartment is clean, comfortable and in the very best location in NYC, I felt spoilt being there. Allison is lovely and it was a pleasure to look after her beloved cats while she was on vacation. Would definitely sit here again!
They have a very cozy house with a garden, it is located in a very quiet area with the beach a 20-minute walk away and lots of nature in just a few steps. Sean and Tricia have made me feel at home and have helped me with everything I have needed, they have made everything very easy for me. Rocky is a charming dog, very affectionate, fun and sleepy, taking care of him is easy.
Bonnie is an absolute dream. Total cutie-pie, loves a good cuddle, she happily sat at my feet whilst I worked. Super easy to manage on walks, friendly with other dogs, good recall and loves a good stick. I got very sad leaving her! Anna and Thomas have created a beautiful home, which is such a treat to be in. The house is spacious, beautiful design, lots of nice features with a lovely little garden. The spare room has a very comfy bed and the two nice big desk spaces to work from, airy and bright with big windows. The house is very convenient, walking distance to London Road shops, The Level, a gorgeous park called Preston Park (and Preston Manor), a good few supermarkets in walking distance, as well as an independent cinema. Easy distance to the centre of Brighton, loads of buses and a train station nearby. Anna & Thomas are communicative. I popped over before I took on the sit to have a look around and meet Bonnie. I know them well, but they took the time to make me feel comfortable, at home and welcome before they went away. There was a small situation in the house whilst they were away, and they handled in with care and grace. Highly recommend this if you get the chance, you'll love the house, the area, Anna & Thomas and most importantly Bonnie the Dog.
We had a fantastic stay at Kate & Alan’s beautiful home looking after Sophie, Bodkin & Phoebe, who are an absolute joy. Really friendly, they are equally happy playing with you, or chilled out in their various sleeping places. Kate’s house is immaculate and her garden is stunning. If you have great weather you’ll struggle to tear yourself away, although when you do venture out, everything is within very easy reach ~ the Cotswolds villages, towns, gardens, National Trust, Blenheim Palace are all within a short drive. Thank you again Kate & Alan for a wonderful sit!

Giselle and Brian of Canine Comforts did an incredible job taking care of my four-legged friend. Typically, I try to arrange for a friend or family member to stay at my house or drop by a few times per day to take care of my dog when I have to travel. However, unexpected events required me to travel out of state for a few days and my friends/family who normally watch my dog were unavailable. Thus, I was forced to look into dog boarding services. After researching and calling a few different options, I stumbled upon Canine Comforts. Giselle confirmed that they could take my dog the following morning, and provided clear instructions for me to streamline the intake process. A few hours after I dropped off my dog, Canine Comforts sent me a link to a shared Google Photos album, where they added pictures of my dog throughout his stay. It was really nice to see him running and playing with all the other dogs. Canine Comforts was also incredibly accommodating regarding my dog's pick-up schedule. Originally, I had planned to pick him up from Canine Comforts on Sunday, but due to unforeseen circumstances, I was not able to fly back home until the following day. Canine Comforts was willing to extend my dog's stay and hang onto him for an additional day. Thank you, Giselle and Brian, for making an otherwise stressful last-minute travel experience easy and pain-free! My dog loved staying with you, and I certainly plan to utilize your services in the future.
Working with Giselle & Brian was a blessing. She was accommodating to all my needs especially on a last minute notice when my boarder cancelled last minute. I have taken my pups there multiple times for day care and they come home tired and ready for bed every time. Our pup spent 5 nights with Giselle and Brian while we were out of town and we were thrilled with the care she received! Giselle and Brian are incredibly knowledgeable and truly care about the dogs they care for. We took so much comfort in knowing that our pup was a part of their family, received individual attention and got to play with new friends. Super convenient to have non-crate boarding IN Vienna! I’ve been taking our dog to Giselle and Brian for over a year and know he’s in good hands. He gets to play with other dogs, be outside and most importantly, is not caged up at night. Rates at excellent if you buy a package!!
Great place. Owners very responsive and truly love all the dogs they have. My puppy just spent three nights with Giselle and Brian and he was well cared for and came home exhausted from all his playing outdoors. Highly recommend Canine Comforts.

This is a fantastic self serve dog wash! Very reasonable prices. A raised tub to save your back with sturdy steps for large dogs. Great selection of shampoos and very good water pressure. Fluffy clean towels and an adjustable hand dryer to get your dog dry. I stopped by while traveling with my dog and I wish this was closer to my house. I would use it all the time in the cold weather. They also have a great selection of healthy natural treats in the lobby! Great place and a very good deal.
My dog Kunu has been attending daycare here for years. He loves to go and I love the fact it wears him out. He is a high energy dog that needs the activity and socialization. Plus, they have the best prices on the raw food he requires because of his digestive sensitivity.
LOVE Paws-N-Play! I have been using them for my cat-sitting needs for almost three years now. Every time I come home I have a report card ready for me to read and my cats seem very well attended. They are also very reasonably priced. The last time I left town I forgot to give my kitten his medications and Paws-N-Play was on it! I feel extremely comforted every time I am away due to the good hands of Paws-N-Play. Thank you for everything you all do!
I’m really sorry to have to do this, as I think Jacqui has the very best intentions in mind. We had an unfortunate experience at Paws & Play and after two days of attending we decided to pull our puppy from this daycare. Below is a list of things went wrong. This is not an intention to bash the daycare’s owner or the daycare itself- but for awareness because we were very disappointed. 1. The website states that dogs are separated by size and temperament. Our puppy was about 15 pounds when he started and when we picked him up, he was with the big, big dogs. He seemed okay, albeit timid, until we met a husky on our very first walk post daycare and reacted in fear and aggression. Before the daycare, our dog approached dogs of all sizes with tail wagging. Luckily we have worked hard with him and he is better now. 2. We provided food for our dog to be fed in the middle of the day as he is a puppy and he gets fed 3 times a day. He did not get his meal fed to him, because she/they forgot to feed him. He was starving when he got home. 3. They open at 6:30, which is when my husband showed up our second day. She didn’t come to open the doors until 6:45. Husband missed the train for work. 4. We were asked what type of food we feed our dog. We responded with “core wellness, both dry and wet”. I was completely judged. She responded, “dry food is a complete waste. Processed food, even if you buy the 80 dollar bag”. Then proceeded to tell me about the food they sell there. Clearly trying to sell to me. There are a few other smaller things that turned us off, but these were the major ones. Unfortunate experience because I really wanted to like this place but I do not feel good leaving our dog there.
Love this place! It's so nice for my deaf pup to have a safe way to play off leash and socialize. It's also the best place, by far, to get healthy food/treats for her.

A Thank You to Lauren and the Story of an Ex-Reactive Rescue Dog ✨ Oh, it was such a joy to finally take my favorite rescue dog, Nessa (an 8-year-old Belgian Malinois), home after a month of walks at the shelter. It was exciting because she was our first dog ever. But after just 5 days, we started noticing serious problems: endless barking (I'm not exaggerating when I say 500 times a day), reactivity towards dogs/people/cats/birds, protective behavior, pulling on the leash, restlessness at home, uncontrollable behavior, it felt dangerous... To be honest, after 10 days, we considered bringing her back to the shelter. We felt so incapable and thought someone else could handle it better. This was not at all the dog we had dreamed of. But then came the turning point. We desperately called Lauren, who guided us from A to Z. Thanks to her help, Nessa transformed in just a few weeks into a happy, relaxed dog. I never could have dreamed back then that we would have such a wonderful dog now. She can now walk off-leash, is no longer reactive, has found peace, is super obedient, is starting to trust people, and our bond is stronger than ever. If you are struggling, I want to encourage you and let you know there is hope. Don’t be afraid to ask for help because a good relationship with your dog is worth its weight in gold. Charlotte

We (and our pets) love Off Collar! Lauren, Katherine, and Alyzah are so sweet with our babies. It is hard to find someone to trust with a Great Dane. They are big animals but also very sensitive and require a gentle but firm touch. Our boy is always so excited to get walked by any of them, and we’re glad to have people we can rely on to give him some company midday. Katherine also takes care of our two kittens when we are away for vacation. They are very shy, but last month, they finally came out to say hi to her, so they must have decided in the end they like her after all :) Off Collar is also very understanding of emergencies and flexible, which is hugely helpful because we have variable schedules each month.
