Many thanks to Maja and Miguel for the invitation to your beautiful, clean and tidy apartment and of course also to your sweet darling Tommy on whom we spent 14 days in beautiful Mühlheim in beautiful Mühlheim in beautiful Mühlheim. Already during the application contact we had a reassuringly good feeling to do the session with Maja and Miguel. All the questions we asked were answered in detail. Also during our session we had regular WhatsApp contact. Maja and Miguel picked us up at the train station in Mühlheim and also drove us back to the station after the meeting, which we were very happy about. After our arrival at your house in Mühlheim we got super into the variety of the house, Tommy's daily routine, its peculiarities and subtleties, so that we got along very well during our stay. have found our way around very well. Maja and Miguel are very nice, warm and sympathetic people. We were invited by Maja and Miguel to a dinner in a nice restaurant. In the beginning there were some disagreements because of Tommy's eating habits. Tommy is such a sweet guy, I don't even know where to start to write about Tommy. We have so enjoyed watching Tommy, his laser play, his enthusiasm to start the day. After a few days he was already a bit more familiar, he woke us up with his gentle meow. It is so cute. More days passed, after he also came to our bed after the morning wake-up ritual, we were proud that the so sweet golden cuddly Tommy also trusted us. Our hearts were on fire. We played hide and seek search game and others. Our day was a blessing with this cuddly furry mouse. He gave us so much love and love his purrs to caress our legs, it was so nice. The photos we took of Tommy we look at each other so often. We can hardly wait, To be able to see Tommy again in the near future. The flowers on the balcony are a beauty. We were allowed to admire their flowers every day. And the homegrown tomato plants Simply inspiring. We have never seen such large and magnificent plants. Too bad we have their red fruits I haven't been able to enjoy it yet. Also the plants in the apartment, simply beautiful, the cacti with their blossoms, I can't say it often enough. Maja and Miguel's apartment is so beautiful and so cozy. We felt completely comfortable. We lacked nothing. We were able to quickly explore the possibilities of urban transport good connection to bus or tram, We soon became familiar with the timetables. The nearby park is worth a stroll. The old town of Mühlheim is also something special. The river promenade of the Ruhr, we have closed in our hearts we went for a walk along it almost every day. I would definitely sit for Toby and Chloe again and recommend them for anyone looking for a snuggly chill cat to hang out with. Chloe was super friendly, very organized and responsive. Her place is nice and clean with really easy access to downtown - and Toby was a gem. He’s definitely vocal about food and totally loving, after the initial introductory day or two he would crawl into my lap and hang out. 😻
We really enjoyed our house sit for Kathryn in Poole. We were made most welcome when we arrived in Kathryn's lovely and comfortable house. She was very accommodating and easy to get on with. Wilson and Lola, the spaniels, were absolutely delightful and a joy to look after. Being only 5 minutes from the harbour we enjoyed some excellent walks in a beautiful area.
We loved our time at this house sit, firstly the dogs Dexter and Ziggy are two adorable characters and are such fun to play with and watch as they play with each other which was always amusing! We thoroughly enjoyed the long morning walks and playing ball in the large garden, they would be with us wherever we went happy to sit and relax by our feet and we had no bother at all. They are well behaved and just a pleasure and we will miss them! Secondly, the house is just fabulous a gorgeous renovated barn into a very modern stylish home with all the mod cons, set in beautiful countryside in a tiny village it is peaceful and relaxing. What a great opportunity to experience living in such a beautiful space which was conformable and had everything for a great stay. Thank you for your hospitality and welcoming us when we arrived and we would sit again no hesitation!
We spent a delightful fortnight at Brian and Deb's small holding in North Yorkshire. They have a lovely house and it's location made it a great base to explore the surrounding areas of the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors. Upon arrival we were greeted by the "three musketeers", Boris, Donald and Pepper - who are such friendly and affectionate dogs - Boris made sure we petted both him and his teddy, Donald circled clockwise in excitement and jubilation and Pepper sought love and a good old fuss from the two of us. What a welcome :) Brian and Deb were very welcoming and hospitable and made us feel at ease immediately. They had thoughtfully provided a comprehensive 'useful information file' to help us comfortably settle into the flow of their home, which also included particlarly useful details for looking after the chickens and sheep, which we had never done before. The very organised set-up made it really straightforward and easy and the delicious free range eggs were more than enough reward :) A very nice touch was also the array of tourist information that Brian and Deb also provided. For local dog walks there was an easily accessible public footpath right from the drive, which provides a half hour leisurely walk for the dogs without the need for walking along roads. There was also a lovely garden which we endeavoured to use every time the sun poked its head out! Once fed and walked the dogs always settled down in their various lounging spots and seemed very content. We can whole heartedly recommend this as a really enjoyable house-sit, for the most lovely people and pets.
We had Lokum in our apartment for two weeks, and she quickly became a part of our family. It took her only a day or so to get used to her new surroundings, which was faster than we expected. Once settled, she was calm and lovely and enjoyed hanging out with us. Our home feels empty now that she’s gone, and we would love to watch Lokum again in the future. Alex drove Lokum to us, bringing along everything she might need for the two weeks. Alex was open about any possible challenges and was always friendly and communicative.
