Thomas and I thoroughly enjoyed our three-week housesit with Cruz, Wookie, Leo, and Toffee. Anne and Paul, a delightful couple, warmly welcomed us into their beautiful home. Arriving before their departure allowed us to familiarize ourselves with the surroundings and meet all the charming pets. Each pet has its unique and lovely personality, making them a joy to care for. We appreciated Paul's kindness in driving us to the airport on our departure. The house itself was not only beautiful but also impeccably clean, making our stay truly delightful. The location is fantastic, offering easy access to various parts of Geelong by foot. Without a doubt, we highly recommend this housesit!
Pamela is an amazing host/pet parent and her home on Whidbey Island is the perfect place for restful reflection. She is incredibly kind and accommodating. We felt so welcome and appreciated from the very beginning. Her home was immaculate! The dogs are well behaved and very friendly. We enjoyed daily walks to the beach and around the beautiful Teronda neighborhood. We planned to island hop and check out the surrounding areas of the Puget Sound. All three dogs are good travelers and happy to accompany us on our day trips. Pamela leaves detailed instructions that are very helpful. Her instructions suggested that we take treats with us when we walk through public areas because Violet and Petunia bark at other dogs and it helps distract them. We forgot this very helpful suggestion on our first public adventure to Rosario Beach. We discovered that they do indeed bark at other dogs until the other dogs are completely out of sight! Do yourselves a favor and follow all of Pamela's instructions. We contacted Pamela a few times through the TrustedHouseSitters App and she always responded cheerfully, quickly, and proved tremendously helpful. Pamela's place on Whidbey Island offers stunning coastal views. I planned to rise early, hike daily and adventure all over the Puget Sound. However, the dogs are affectionate and the home is so peaceful that it has a calming effect. We slept in most mornings, enjoyed late breakfasts and truly relaxed. My favorite part of our visit was eating our family meals in Pamela's kitchen and staring out at the ocean through the back windows. My husband's favorite part was sitting on the back porch reading with deer passing through, bedding down, and grazing a few feet away. My kids favorite part of the HouseSit were the dogs! They were seriously the main attraction. Rosie, Petunia, and Violet kept our kids entertained all day everyday. If you get the chance to Housesit for Pamela do it! Definitely a 10/10 Housesit in all categories.
I enjoyed caring for Cookie and Sadie, two of Marie's delightful pets. They are cute, affectionate, and incredibly easy to care for. What stood out to me the most was how well we could communicate, and their obedience made the experience even smoother. Their sense of humor, particularly when they eagerly greet you at the door upon your return, adds a delightful touch to our bond. I wholeheartedly recommend sitting for Marie, as she is a generous and thoughtful pet owner who provided clear, concise instructions for both the house and the care of Cookie and Sadie. Together, they made my sitting experience truly enjoyable, and I believe any sitter would feel the same.
Nelida, Arturo and their two sons are a warm and welcoming family. We met them through FaceTime and met in person one day before the sit. They had prepared all the important information for us. Their apartment is beautiful! It's a large old building with a perfect connection to central Berlin. It's super cozy and you feel right at home. Catrina and Oscar were a bit shy on the first day. After that they trusted us quickly and cuddled with us or asked us to play. They are sweet and easy to take care of and sleep a lot. The care of the two guinea pigs was uncomplicated and easy to implement. We would come again anytime and had a wonderful time! ❤️
Wow don't even know where to begin... I guess I'll begun by saying I had an amazing 2 weeks with the most adorable little fur babies in all of Terrigal! The house itself is absolutely beautiful and just so relaxing to just hang at home with the awesome company of Bear, Bailey, and Pricilla. Bear is the cutest little cuddle bug, curious about everything and really looks up to his big brother Bailey who is just a total mush face you'll want to kiss his nose all day. The boys really enjoy their long walks and playtime on the beach, almost as much as I did : ) They are such good boys and also always came along with me for coffee and lunch/dinner in town- I couldn't have asked for better adventuring companions! Now little Pricilla is just the sweetest angel, she likes to explore most of the day and comes back at night for some dinner, and then ear scratches and head rubs for her post dinner festivities : ) On occasion I've been lucky enough for her to hang out with me and the boys at the house during the day and it was always a pleasure having the full gang at home to enjoy our lounging together. Anyone would be lucky to sit this crew and I'd love to come back in the future when my travel allows. Thank you Renee for having me, I had such an incredible time!
From the first moment of contact until the end of the sitting time I felt very well informed. Due to the unproblematic contact, no uncertainties could arise. I loved the house, the surroundings and especially the pets. The house was clean and I thought that was great! One dog (Charlie) was on holiday with Heidi and her family, so I only looked after Jasper a beagle and the two birds (Kiwi and Peaches). Jasper is a lovely dog, who is super sociable with other dogs. The birds, Kiwi and Peaches are just to fall in love with! The pets have clear rules and as a sitter you should also take this into account! I had complete trust from Heidi and her family which felt great, yet I kept their structure with the pets (That was very important to me as well). The place and the pets were wonderful - I would sit again any time! I missed my 3 new friends from the moment I left the house. For those interested, I would still say, birds need free flight and sitters who want to apply because they would rather explore Amsterdam, I would not recommend the place. As the pets are used to a family, I don't think they should be left alone much. You should rather take the unique opportunity to meet Peaches, Kiwi, Jasper and Charlie. Anyway it is so beautiful that you prefer to stay there :).
