Teresa and Mark were the most wonderfully welcoming hosts! They kindly invited us to stay the evening before and made us a delicious dinner washed down with some amazing home brewed beer. It was a real pleasure getting to know them and they made us feel at home straight away. Their home is beautiful and has everything you could ever need. Even though we were a little unlucky with the weather we stayed warm and cosy by the fire every night! The animals were all a joy to look after and we really enjoyed eating fresh eggs every morning. We loved brushing the goats and seeing their eyes light up with a wave of a ginger biscuit! Smithy was super affectionate from the start but the 2 older ladies Gizzy and Betsy took a little longer to warm up to us. After a few nights though they joined us in the living room after dinner to sit by the fire which was lovely! We had such a wonderful time at Mark and Teresa’s and cannot recommend this sit enough. The only complaint we have is the extra weight we put on after all their amazing foodie recommendations in the local area! We cannot wait to come back :)
I loved staying at Amie and Pete's place with their three lovely cats. Amie and Pete were really welcoming, gave clear instructions, and even picked me up from the station. They have a peaceful house in St Albans which was lovely to relax in, and they have lots of helpful tech which made the cats really easy to look after. The cats are gorgeous, I had so much fun playing with them and lots of cuddles!

Staff was amazing and facility was huge!! Champ is an 8 year old American staffy and he had the best time playing with the staff and other dogs. Webcams were great way to check in to see how he was doing! Staff were quick to pick up and clean up any messes! They gave the dogs great attention and care! I will be using them again in the future.

My chocolate lab puppy was making us absolutely insane!! She has so much energy and no matter what we did we could not keep up and she would not stop. I found Happy Dog and we are absolutely thrilled we did. She comes home so happy and tired. She gets so excited when the car pulls into the parking lot. The important thing is she is actually calm enough now we can train her. She is becoming such a good girl. We could never work with her before because she was bouncing off the walls.
My dogs Percy and Sadie have been coming to happy dog for a few months now.. and they absolutely love it! They both come home exhausted from a fun day at “school” with all of their friends! I love being able to watch them on the live camera running around and getting all their puppy energy out. The staff is impeccable and truly have the best interest in heart for every dog that comes through their door and it shows!
I just started bringing my dog, Bronx here - and what an incredible experience it’s been so far! Unlike other daycares, happy dog has complete open play with no kennels in site - other day cares do not care like these guys are! Truly the epitome of dog lovers here!!!
I was taking my boys, Jax and Diesel to another day care that was great, but just inconvenient for me due to the location. Happy Dog is literally right around the corner from my work, and I'm thrilled with being able to drop them off early in the morning. The boys have such a great time with their friends, and are always happy and tired when I pick them up. The staff is absolutely AMAZING...they remember every dogs name (even after the first "test" visit)... they are incredible. Highly recommend!
We take our dog here for boarding, bathing and weekly playtime. I trust Jim and his team with our furry family member. This is a full service facility that my dog can’t wait to get to. The staff is super friendly, and again, I trust them.
Our Enzo Ferrari just loves coming to Happy Dog Daycare. I feel he is at home and everyone is family taking care of him and I don’t worry when we are away. When we are able to watch him on the cameras I see he is having an awesome time with his friends and they are giving him all the love. Staff is amazing! Our 3 year old mastiff mix Lilly had to attend a few daycare days earlier this year and we had a wonderful experience. Early drop off times and cameras to watch during the day! When we left for our honeymoon we knew this was the only place we wanted to board our baby. We clearly made the right choice! Lilly came back all pooped out and every time I checked she was running around with all the other staff and dogs. Thank you Happy Dog and staff for being so amazing with our fur baby!!

I called to inquire about the doggie daycare. First of all she answered the phone and didn’t seem very friendly. Sort of rough around the edges. I expected her to be warm and bubbly and sell herself and her services and explain things thoroughly to me. I had to pull information from her. When I told her I was looking for daily dog care, Monday through Friday when I’m at work, she said that would be too much for my dog and suggested maybe a couple days a week. My well-behaved dog is 2 1/2 years old and playful but he does know when he needs to rest. I told her I was looking for a home environment. She told me her place is open to the public, still don’t know what that means. I just didn’t get the warm, caring personality from her, I was turned off. She also does not do a meet and greet. She wanted me to drop my dog off for the day without even taking a tour of the place first. Just bad vibes all the way around. Learn to be warm and fuzzy and sell your services. After all our dogs are our babies. I wanted a home environment that my dog could feel comfortable in while I work during the day, better than leaving him home alone.
I've been bringing my dog here for 3 years now. Debbie and Marilyn are great! My dog Sophie enjoys visiting them to get her beauty treatment. Marilyn does a fantastic job on my baby girl. Thank you to you both for such a great experience.
My first time boarding here...my little fur baby seemed to have enjoyed it. Usually he comes home exhausted from shaking...today he came home and wanted to eat. That's a good sign here!! Will definitely use them again. Happy puppy!
We started bringing our Yorkie here after several bad experiences at a big chain pet store groomer. We use to get her home hours and hours later, shaking with fright and obviously sore from being nicked during grooming. She receives nothing but the VERY BEST of care here! Debby and her employees are always patient and gentle with our little baby and she comes home looking Adorable every time. Timely Service too, she is always in and out for a pleasant, stress-free experience. We will NEVER go elsewhere!!. Thank You for taking such good care of me - Lilly :)
I started taking our boy Maxx here when he was 6 months old. He LOVES it. He cannot wait to get there when he sees we are close. The owner is very friendly and easy to work with. Maxx has brought home several paw-made projects, and is always ready for a nap. I dropped him off the other day, and another dog mom saw me walking in and had to tell me her dog and mine were best friends😊 It’s just an overall fun place. Definitely made me feel comfortable when Maxx needed boarded as well. Some places just have their boarders in a kennel run and only let out a few times a day, and I have to pay extra for a little exercise. Here, he got to play with all of his friends from open to close the whole time he was there. Very happy!
Lack of experience with puppies. No temperament tests done. Doesn't look at shot records. Puppy came home more terrified, she went in scared just like she did with another day care and now hates too leave that one, because she has fun. When we go to the other one, she runs to the gate excitedly to goo play auth her friends. She still goes to was just looking for one closer to home. I mentioned that she was a puppy and still potty training. Oh and no website. Apparently i was wrong on one person working there. I have only ever spoke or seen one person.
They did a wonderful grooming job on my corgis Ruby and Gracie , I've never had a job done this nice. Highly impressed and will recommend to others. Thanks again !

I drop off one of my dogs here when we go on vacation and he loves it. Im not the most convenient for pickup and drop off times but debbie is more than accommodating to me.
This is by far the best place to take your dog for daycare and boarding! The owners Breana and Amanda are very personable and professional. Our dog is in very good hands when we are away and we don't have to worry at all. I highly recommend anyone who has a dog or a cat to use All American Pet Resort in Shelby Township for daycare, boarding, or grooming. I wish there was an option for more than 5 stars!
I went in to do a tour and find out more info as I’m on the lookout for a new daycare and boarding place. The girls at the front desk were incredibly rude when we walked in, didn’t seem to like the questions we were asking regarding safety, number of dogs in play groups, what their schedule is, etc. they knew my husband and I were coming in to do a tour at that time, it was all very off putting how they treated us. Then their answer to my question of how many dogs are in their play groups was an astounding 40 to 50 dogs!!!! My eyes practically bulged out of my face and I knew that was not the place for my dogs. That is completely insafe and I’m shocked there seem to be no regulations in place for these dog facilities to protect our precious fur babies. Of the 6 places locally we visited, all American pet resort in Washington twp is the ONLY one doing play groups of this size. Everyone else I have visited and also reviewed online only does btwn 2-20 at the very most. Also, when I checked reviews for all American in Washington, I noticed reviews saying their dog was hurt in a fight, not treated by staff in a timely manner, and didn’t contact parents right away. Of course there’s many fights in the groups, this place is putting together up to 50 dogs at a time and crossing their fingers that nothing happens. I will never send my beloved dogs here.
Very pleased with our dog Harriet’s experience at AAPR Shelby. Staff is very friendly and accommodating The facility is clean and dogs are placed into appropriate groups for group play. We will definitely call them again the next time we go out of town. After we picked up our dog we noticed she didn’t wanna leave because she was having so much fun.
We adopted our Fiona late last year and she can be skittish at times. Everyone at AARP in Shelby Twp took the extra time to be calm and friendly with her to make sure they created a happy place when she visits. Wouldn’t think twice a about taking her to any other place other than AAPR Shelby! 💗 …
O stars if I could. Constant animal injuries even death and so many dogs get sick here. Such a nasty and dirty facility. So many better option in the area. Every bad review they get they have gotten deleted. Watch this one will too.
If you’re unsure where to board your dog, look no further. You can even try a half day to test it out. My best friend recommended all American Pet Resort and I’m so glad she did! I started taking Mario here almost a year ago for our vacations. I rescued him from Costa Rica and he’s still a little scared of people and dogs at first, however he continues to improve. I feel that taking him here has really helped! For example, he was giving one of the staff members lots of love and kisses when I picked him up after our last vacation earlier this month. I love everything about this place, including the suites, raised cots, play areas, playtime, and of course the staff! Mario has so much fun here with all the new friends he meets each time! I miss him so much during our vacations, however it helps that I can watch him on the webcam anytime. The staff is wonderful and I feel that they know how to handle each dog individually! I have been recommending All American Pet Resort to all my friends and family and will continue to do so. I will also be taking Mario here again for all of our future vacations.

They take good care of your pet. They have both indoor and outdoor play facilities.
I like them, but they can be really irritating at times. I’ve made reservations over the phone, but some reps refuse to do it. They tell you that you have to do it online. The first time I tried to do it, the person who answered the phone kept blowing me off and I almost went with another kennel, especially since she did not give me the information I needed for the online form. Another problem occurred when they charged us for the dog’s nails, but never did it. To their credit, they tried to fix it the following week, but barely did the nails. The front desk clerk said she tried, but he was not a fan so they might still be long. Yeah…that’s an understatement. If you’re looking to get your dog’s nails done, save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. Considering how expensive this place is for boarding, they should have a consistently smooth process that meets their clients’ needs every single time. That being said, the one thing we really like about it is that the dogs get to play every other hour. If it weren’t for that, we would be somewhere else in a heartbeat.
Our Girl Trixie goes to All American 3 days a week for day care and also boarding while we are away. I can not say enough about this place, the staff is wonderful and Trixie loves playing with her friends.. Thank you All American.
