I had a wonderful stay with Lily and Bagera! They are a lovely pair of green-eyed black cats with very sweet personalities, subtly accompanying you wherever you go in the house and sitting on your lap in the evenings purring away. Teresa was very welcoming with easy communication before and during the sit. The large and comfortable apartment is very conveniently located and even has a great balcony perfect for the summer days. I’d be happy to sit for Teresa again and would recommend it to other sitters.
A wonderful sit looking after Cleo who is a very calm & well mannered dog. She adores people and is good around other dogs. Cleo is very well trained waiting for certain commands and her recall is excellent. She never strayed far from us and walked beautifully when on the lead. She travels well in the car and is perfect company whilst sitting in a pub garden. She is a delight to look after and enjoys a tummy rub now and again! Martin and Carol were great hosts and provided very detailed information regarding Cleo, their house and the surrounding area which proved very useful. They live in a fabulous house with views over fields and within a few steps of woodland. The garden is beautiful and we had a very tranquil stay. Walks from the door and plenty of areas to explore nearby in the car. We would highly recommend this sit and feel grateful to have been able to look after Cleo and stay in a stunning home.
We sat for Pamela and George while they were away on a business trip. They are exceptionally warm and welcoming people. Pamela left very detailed notes on every aspect of the home to ensure the sit was smooth. Their home is very spacious and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the beautiful gazebo and the views of the lake and golf course. We had a particularly beautiful sunset after a storm one of the nights we were there. Susie is an absolute love who just wants to be with her people. She enjoys going out for walks on the golf course and showing you around. She is super easy to care for and quite independent. We loved taking her on the mailbox loop each morning and she loved the rubdowns my husband gave her every day. We had a storm come through one night and Susie was noticeably nervous, she sat in our laps and that seemed to help. As soon as it blew past she was back to just chilling and sleeping on the couch. We spent one day checking out Jekyll Island and St. Simons. We visited the Georgia Sea Turtle Center which was really fun. We throughly enjoyed our time at Pamela and George's home in Blackshear. It was fun, relaxing and we were made to feel right at home from the first moment. We'd highly recommend a sit at their home if the opportunity arises.
My stay with Nala and Nancy was wonderful. Both dogs warmed up quickly to me and walked excellent . Xanthe home is roomy and great views. On a bus route and close to groceries within walking distance Xanthe provided tips on visiting the city and communicated well during my stay . Thank you again Xanthe , Nancy and Nala
We had a wonderful sit in Allendale Town, looking after Teal, a beautiful Labrador Golden Retriever. Hilary and John entertained us for lunch a few days before their trip, and we enjoyed a lovely meal, chatting and getting to know one another. They were very friendly and made us feel right at home! When we returned a few days later to start our sit, Hilary had generously left us a prepared meal to begin our sit, together with a few days worth of supplies, which was very welcome. Hilary and John’s home is very spacious, clean and comfortable with several sitting areas both inside, and out in their beautiful garden, which is a tranquil retreat, overlooking green rolling hills of the adjacent farmland. There is even a summer house, with a mini log fireplace, perfect for having some peace and quiet in the surroundings of nature. Teal is a very sweet and happy dog, very well behaved and a delight to look after and take for walks. She was one of the easiest dogs we have ever had the pleasure of caring for. Communications with Hilary and John were very easy, both before and during the sit. Hilary and John offered to let us stay an additional night, which we happily accepted as it allowed us to enjoy another meal with this lovely couple. We highly recommend Hilary, John and Teal, and we would gladly sit for them again, if the opportunity arose. Sincerely, Phil & Diane Day
This was a really great sit. Alison and James have a beautiful home - spacious, welcoming, warm and comfortable. They have a comprehensive guide ready for sitters, with all the information needed at your fingertips. They welcomed me the night before and showed me around, so I felt fully prepared for the sit when they left next morning. They were also really helpful when a severe weather event (and a dodgy tyre) prevented me from leaving on time - they were happy to have me for an extra night to allow the floods to settle a bit. Alison's communication was excellent - she kept in touch with me before and during the sit, using Whatsapp as a quick and easy way to keep track of our conversations. The pets are darlings. Lilly is a real character who is very affectionate but also lets you know when she wants something - usually more food! Willow is a gracious older lady who likes to sit and watch. She's a bit growly with the other animals but never lashes out. She loves being brushed and stroked. Daizy is a great companion on walks in the area - full of energy, inquisitive and happy to trot along for ages. The area itself it wonderful for getting out - a woodland on the property, lane walks to the village and nearby farms, and the beaches and moors aren't far off either. This was a fabulous sit and I'd highly recommend it to anyone interested in living in the Dorset countryside for a while. Thank you both for everything. :-)

We reached out to Nancy a couple of times for overnights for our young male lab and she was great! We used Nancy and Take the Lead for several years while we lived in Scituate. She was great. 15 months ago we moved to Atlanta but now (10/16) we are moving back. Nancy is so great with our 2 year old lab. She has watched him overnight on several occasions ranging from a night to over a week. He’s always happy to arrive, play with her dogs, and go on hikes :) Highly recommend her!!

Since moving to Scituate in June 2011, Nancy and Take the Lead Pet Care have been like a second family to our 3 1/2 year old Portuguese Water Dog, Farley, and our kitties. Nancy provides the utmost in care and experience and has been there for us whenever we've needed her--whether a last minute schedule change for impromptu dog care, or as a caring support to show us tips and techniques when our cat Izzy was terminally ill. Our dog Farley joins in her doggie outing group several times a week and always comes home happy and exhausted! Take the Lead has provided boarding for times when we've been away and Nancy treats our dog like her own--she has even sent daily photos and texts. Take the Lead is fantastic! When we moved to Scituate a year ago Nancy was so kind and helpful to us in so many ways. When she takes our high energy vizsla (Ginger) for doggie play dates and walks, she comes home exhausted (not easy to do with Ginger!). Nancy is caring, compassionate, attentive and I feel 100% confident that Ginger is well cared for with her. I recommend TTL to any dog owner!!

I cannot recommend Nancy. Initially our experience with her was very positive. She was very flexible with our schedule and arrived when expected. That all changed this week. Scituate had a lockdown and Nancy never arrived at our house to let our dog out. We were not aware of the situation and she never called me to let me know she wasn't going to make it. My dog was left in the house without relief for twelve hours. I realize the lockdown was out of her control but making a phone call was not. Nancy assured me she would be a our house later in the week and again she never showed up and never called.
Take the Lead truly loves our baby and keeps him very active and social. Typically they walk our dog but the value they provide is the flexibility in their care. Time of day, length of service and even sleep over requests are all accommodated by Take the Lead. I have and would recommend their services to anyone that needs care for their pets because our dog is social, fit and well cared for by Take the Lead Pet Care.
Viviane took care of our 2 cats while we were on vacation. She went above and beyond and was truly amazing! She would provide us detailed updates, sent us tons of cute photos, brought over toys (we are purchasing the one she brought since our kitties loved it SO much). We felt at ease while they were in her care. We will definitely be calling Viviane again for our next trip, and would recommend her to anyone with pets. Thank you!

I am SO lucky to have found Viviane via a recommendation from another resident at my apartment complex. She came highly recommended and now I know why! I have been fortunate to always have family and friends look after my dog Philly while I am away. I was anxious about leaving him with someone new for a few days while I traveled, but Viviane put my worries at ease. She was extremely communicative throughout the entire process and sent detailed updates each day. I could tell by the many pictures I received that Philly was so happy and having a blast playing fetch all day. He was in great spirits when I returned from my trip, it was obvious he had been well taken care of! Leaving our pets can be hard, trusting that someone is caring for them the same way that we do can me even harder. With Viviane you'll have no worries.
Viviane is simply amazing. My husband and I left the country for 10 days. This was the first time we’ve left our cat Basil for an extended time, needless to say we were very anxious. Viviane was able to accommodate visiting twice a day, providing thorough updates with lots of pictures for each visit even if nothing out of the ordinary happened. We were most worried about Basil receiving his oral medication once a day, but Viviane did this with ease. Viviane was extremely professional and we will absolutely be using her services again in the future.
I cannot express my gratitude to Viviane and the Vive team enough! I was looking for someone to watch my pup Eric whilst I was visiting family in Hong Kong and was anxious about leaving him for 10 days. I received constant updates of how Eric was doing, photos daily and a little message of what they got up to. He also had other pup friends to hang out with, I honestly don't think he wanted to come home as he was having a blast!! (just look at the pics!) Thank you again, there is no doubt in my mind who I will be calling next time I go away. My friend recommended Vive and I am so so so thankful for the care and love that Eric got whilst I was away. We have had the best experience working with Viviane at VIVE Pet Care. Our cat, Autumn, is 18 years old and I get incredibly anxious leaving her now because of her age. Viviane takes the best care of her. She comes to see her every day, plays with her and takes great care of her. When she comes, she sends pictures and a detailed report of her visit that day. Heidi has been a great assist in helping me train my 6 month year old chihuahua puppy. Her instructions are easy to follow and homework with my dog has become fun. Heidi’s hounds is amazing. Huge shoutout to Heidi’s Hounds! They have taken such excellent care of my cats over the years when I travel. Recently I was having work done on house while away and one of workers inadvertently let one of my cats out. They came for their daily visit and found her outside. They came back multiple times during the day to try to coax him back inside and making sure he was safe and fed. They communicated what was going on and what they were doing. Just cannot say enough. Really CARE for our fur babies.

This company is more concerned with money than the well being of pets in their care. They’ve taken on too much customers without enough staff to support it. There are some ‘boutique’ features such as online bookings and pet journals. They were good to use when we had a senior dog. Don’t expect consistent contacts. You never know who will be scheduled, the staff seems to change regularly, there isn’t much flexibility. 3 hour timeframes for the walk times is like working with the cable company. I want more for my puppy.

Seaside K9s is a great business and resource for animals in the community. Molly and Ethan are both kind loving and caring. They donate to many community non profits, rescue many animals and are great advocates for pets. I came to them 7 years ago (2018) when I got my rescue dog. He was severely abused and borderline feral when I got him and they were a huge part in helping me to rehab him to the snuggle bug he is today. At one point I traveled for months at a time for work and without them and their care I would not have been able to have advanced my career cause I would not have had pet care. My dog was with them in their care for many weeks at a time and I always knew he was safe and loved in their care. They love my grumpy needy little guy like he is one of their own. They have created a safe loving environment for their pack members. I'm so fortunate to have Seaside K9 in my life for me and for Jimmy Choo. They are an asset to the local dog community!
Our dog has been a regular of Seaside K9s since May 2019. From his first visit, we immediately felt so comfortable with Molly & Ethan and knew our dog would be in great hands. Receiving pictures of him smiling says it all! We are so appreciative of everything that they do for us: the exceptional care that they give, the personalized gifts and the happy pictures. My dog Sheldon has been going to Seaside since he was a puppy. He goes to daycare about 3 days a week and gets boarded when I’m away. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with him. Ethan, Molly and the team are basically his other family. We are so grateful for all they do and the love and amazing services they provide. They are truly a neighborhood staple! We moved from Quincy to Dorchester and still come to them!
Seaside K9s has been such a blessing in our lives! They are accommodating, friendly, and provide a safe clean environment for your fur babies! Bruno is a high energy dog that can be a handful but he is always welcomed and has a blast! The best part is they always take great action shots of your four legged friends! Dog parents and Dog approved!
I have been bringing my pup to Seaside for three years since he was 6 months old, and I can’t tell you enough how great they have been. They take amazing care of him as if he was their own dog so that I never have to worry. He has stayed with them for a weekend and the only person he trusts to trim his nails is Ethan. He gets exposure to new things, socialization with all different types of dogs, and enrichment to keep him occupied. The love they give the pups is unmatched, I highly recommend SeasideK9!
I am extremely particular when it comes to bringing my dog to daycare. Before I started to go to SeasideK9s, I drove to Pembroke from Quincy 2 times a week. Once I brought Maverick to Seaside I knew there was no longer a need to do the drive. They are amazing. They care for your dog as if it was their own. I cannot imagine take Mav to any other daycare!!! As you can tell, he is quite happy and I do believe he is smiling!!
Seaside has been amazing for our dogs and the dogs of friends and family members. I can personally vouch for their patience, understanding, flexibility, communication, and of course, their services. We have used them for grooming, daycare, and overnight stays, and our dogs always look and feel great afterwards. Nothing but happy, appreciative dogs for every visit.
Seaside is our go to for day care and sleepovers. There’s no one we trust more than Ethan and Molly to look after our pups. I love seeing pictures of them and having fun with all the other dogs. They have a great pack! Our Shibas are always so happy when we pick them up from Seaside!
I absolutely recommend SeasideK9s for your dog. I love the smaller side daycare and overnight component because not all dogs do well in a large facility and Ethan and his team are able to provide my dog with individualized attention and the specific care he needs. My dog has specific eating instructions and I have never had an issue with them feeding him, that’s how I know they are the best! Fairly priced and they truly care about dogs, they do not overcrowd either!! Highly recommend
Molly and Ethan and their team provide the best care! I am so grateful to be a member of their pack! Recently I left my dog for a week in their care. It was the first time he was away from his home for this length of time. When I picked him up, it was business as usual. He greeted me as he would every time I picked him up from a day at doggie daycare. It was as if his routine never changed. Molly and Ethan are truly outstanding!! 🐾🐾🐾💞💞💞
The staff at Got Pawz are so caring and thoughtful. The staff treat the dogs right, keep us updated with posting pics and also keep us informed. They have a dog of the month and for holidays/ specific times of year will create a cute keepsake (like the one attached). We feel great having our dog go here, and know we can trust the staff; they are amazing and hardworking.
This was my pup's 1st boarding experience and he seems to have absolutely loved it. He had a 6 day stay with Got Pawz, and I picked him up this morning, to a frenzy of wiggles wags and happiness. The staff knelt down to give him a big hug and say goodbye, and talked with him about how they hoped to see him visit again. He went right over to them and melted into theitr arms and just generally looked like he loved them after his stay. Got an update from the staff on how he did with meals/eating, his general demeanor while I was gone, and a rundown on some of the friends he made. I think if there's any endorsement of a boarding place, it's probably the animal's that means the most. My pup was thrilled with everyone, clean, well cared for, and very happy. He says he'd stay again. He's currently snoozing, probably dreaming about playing with his new friends at daycare. Thank you Got Pawz for taking such great care of my dog while I was gone.

Got Pawz is the best! I highly recommend for daycare needs as well as boarding!! The majority of the time we use for boarding. Our boxer is always well taken care of , loved, and tired when she comes home! Recently, we got stuck away and couldn’t get back home in time to pick up our dog. Got Pawz understood, made the appropriate accommodations, and was flexible! We have been going to Got Pawz for 15 years & greatly trust all the staff with our pup!!
We left Jasper and Josi in the care of Tom, Katelyn, Dawn and the Got Pawz squad for four nights and five days while on vacation. We were completely reassured that the dogs would be loved and cared for like so many times before. I was just walking my dog by this place and she pulled me over to the grass in front because the dogs go the bathroom there. She is a dog with a nose that goes to other dog smells. They have a barrel there for you to place the dog poop so I know dogs go potty in this area. My dog pooped I had my own bag , I picked it up and deposited in the barrell there. The owner came out and told me not to do that again. What a jerk, I’m a responsible dog owner and that didn’t harm anything for him. Now I would never even consider brining my dog there and wouldn’t suggest it to any dog owner I know.
Gotpawz is a godsend. I’ve used this amazing family oriented daycare/boarding since 2022! From the very first day, Louie feels at home. When we arrive at the facility, my dog runs for the door. He absolutely loves the environment. I board my dog while I am at work. My shifts are all over the place and Gotpawz has me covered. Can’t thank you enough!

After getting 2 puppies during the pandemic, we were unsure of what we would do when I had to return to the office. The staff at Got Pawz treat our dogs like members of their own families! Our pups love it there and we do daycare, boarding, and grooming! It is awesome to have a local, well priced place that my dogs are so excited to go to. Ruby and Rosy love it and so do we!
I have been bringing my dog to gotpawz since he was a puppy(3 years). He started with the small dogs and grew up to play with the big dogs. He loves going, whether it’s just daycare or boarding. He always comes home tired. Highly recommend.
Our 6 month old golden doodle was evaluated for day care and accepted in. McKenzie (she’s great) told us he’d need to start slow. So we started doing power hours for day care with them. He had been there for grooming before so he wasn’t completely new to that environment. Our puppy is now 8months old and loves going to day care there. We are still taking it slow by doing half days and someday soon he might be able to do a full day. We’re so happy our puppy gets to socialize and make friends and play with other dogs once a week. They also provided him with frozen kong for lunch one day. This place is amazing. Also Kerry Walsh does a great job with grooming. Our puppy looks so handsome after each session. ♥️
Shipyard dog co was extremely accommodating to my escape artist! They even had and employee walking my pup around on a leash with all the other dogs during the time she knew she would be getting picked up soon–that’s when her anxiety was the highest and she would chase after her friends/hop gates while they were getting checked out to leave. They never locked her in a side room. You can tell how much the staff truly care about every dog that walks on there. They always greet them by their first name and know/enjoy everyone’s unique personality! The prices are beyond reasonable and you can tell the staff love what they do! Big shoutout to Cody and his girlfriend Nicole that work there! They were my main reason for consistency in the company! There compassion/knowledge for every breed/temperament is unbeatable!
I've been looking for a great place where I can bring my Airedale Terrier dog Archie for a good grooming. I've been to other groomers in the area but they have been unfortunately not the best. But when I found this groomer and met Laura she did an amazing job with Archies grooming. Will be going here going forward.
My anxious Newfoundland went for a groom here for the first time!!! Everyone was just prefect, they listened to all my concerns and made me feel comfortable leaving her. What a wonderful job was done and most importantly was I got back a very happy dog!!! Will go no where else. Thank you all
All I have to do is ask “who wants to go to school?”, to see how much my dogs love coming to Shipyard. They race each other to the door and wag their tails the second we turn onto the street. The staff is always so excited to see them and they always come home ready for a nap but not alarmingly exhausted, stinky, thirsty, and starving like they did at their previous daycare. A special shout out to the groomer Laura that does the most amazing job with both my dogs!
Wonderful for day care and overnight boarding! Our anxious pup is unsure of new people and can be scary if he doesn’t know you. Hingham Dog Care understood that it takes some dogs more time to warm up to you and not every dog wants to be your friend right away. Now, our dog Harley is so excited to go play with his friends every week and comes out happy as ever! Also, it’s a relatively quiet and fairly clean environment compared to other places. Overall very happy!
Best place for daycare, social time, boarding. My dogs go at-least once a week for the day and board multiple times a year and they love it. My dogs are sometimes reluctant to come to get their leashes on but as soon as you say daycare they come right over. Also thank you so much for helping us out and taking my puppies last minute during the holiday weekend when my wife went into labor early unexpectedly.
I hate to say that my very short-lived experience with Shipyard Dog Co. was not a positive one. After being on the waitlist for a year or so, I was surprised when I received a call letting us know that they had made their way to us on the list and wanted to invite our dog over for a 1-hour evaluation. I had genuinely forgotten about it and figured they were never going to call us. Excitedly, I accepted the invitation and couldn't wait to take him in to make new friends. Sadly, a very brief 15 minutes into the 1-hour evaluation, I was contacted and asked to pick him up. I was told my dog was not a good fit for their facility, as he appeared to be a mix of both anxious and excited, which apparently isn't welcome there. When alone, he appeared to nervously pace back and forth and wanted to leave the isolated gated area. When introduced to other dogs, he was "overly excited." A generally anxious dog being left in a new environment with new people surrounded by new other dogs...hmmm maybe it's just me, but it seems perfectly normal that he'd be nervous in the very beginning and that perhaps it may take more than 15 minutes to get comfortable. And maybe just maybe it makes sense that he would be excited to meet other dogs, especially when there aren't any others in his home. Either way, I'm not a dog parent that can't accept that her dog was rejected from daycare. If it's not a good fit, it's not a good fit, and that's 100% okay. My issue with this facility is that the assessment was made in 15 minutes and that their issue was anxiety (and excitement), when it takes more than 15 minutes for a dog's anxiety to subside. They're quick to judge and it appears they're not very open and compassionate to various dog temperments. They could stand to learn empathy, compassion, and patience before making a final judgment call on whether to take in a new client. Elite exclusivity isn't kind, nor welcoming.
My dog loves going. Always has fun and is exhausted from playing. Staff is great. Very happy Buddy has found a great play group!
Incredible grooming services! My two year old labradoodle has never looked better, or been happier leaving an appointment. The entire staff is wonderful, so friendly and accommodating. It’s clear that they truly care about the dogs that are under their supervision.
Darrell has been absolutely wonderful and accommodating with my hectic schedule! I can tell my pup loves staying with him and is well cared for! I would absolutely recommend their services and am thankful that they have been so welcoming and helpful! Updated review: My dog has now been going to Leash Dog care for almost 2 years and has never had any issues. The team are attentive, always updating me with pictures, and my dog clearly has a wonderful time. On top of that they work around my schedule so nicely and are accommodating as well. I will continue to recommend them if looking for overnight care, playgroup or even a walker!

Darrell and his team at Leash have been caring for my dog and cats while We’re out of town traveling for years now. They always provide consistent, responsible care, send me photos while I’m away, and my pets are always happy and cared for when I return.
We have been using Leash Dog Care walking services in different occasions and Darrell and his team are always on time to pick Lily up. She always returns happy and gets very excited when she knows that somebody from Leash is waiting outside the door for her. Darrell is very responsible and always responds our questions. He does his job with love and it's noticeable.
We are so happy we've found Darrell and his team at Leash. The playgroups are wonderful and, when our dog has boarded with Darrell, our dog seemed to be having a vacation of his own with the other doggies! Darrell really helps the dogs feel at home when he's caring for them. Whenever we see Darrell in the neighborhood, our dog gets SO excited and wants to go with him. It's such a comfort to have someone we trust right in JP.

Our dog Ozzy loves leash! We have used leash many times for dog walking and boarding. They are very communicative and always send cute pictures and updates on how our dog is doing. They also are very flexible with pick up/drop off times for boarding. Highly recommend!
We LOVE Darrell and his team! Our puppy, Lana, comes home from playgroup every day tired and happy. He has been super flexible and understanding of our crazy schedules as we are both residents. We really like the app where we can see pictures of our sweet baby playing with other dogs. We would highly recommend LEASH to anyone.
Let’s just start by saying I don’t think these people get enough praise and respect. My dog has been going here for almost 3 years and since day 1 he has always been treated like their own pet. They always go above and beyond I feel with dogs and that tells you something. More people should leave reviews because they deserve it as there the best around . From Leanne, to Dan and the rest of the staff are truly amazing .

If I could give a zero star I would. The people here are horrendous and I wouldn’t trust them with your dog. Lots of screaming and cussing goes on in this building among co workers and at the dogs. Most of the people employed here vape all day long while clocked in for their shift. Very unprofessional people.

The best people ever there. I hate leaving my dog with just anyone but when he’s there I know they treat him just as I want him to be treated. I am so thankful to have found Cohasset Kennels and it’s conveniently less than 5 minutes from work! I had some major life changes and had no idea what I’d do with my dog during the day, however, Cohasset Kennels is incredibly affordable for a doggy daycare and they have weekend hours which is so hard to find! I love how they treat my dog like their own family member, and such a plus that they clean the dogs off before they go home! (wasn’t expecting that! that’s great service!) Even better that they post pictures on instagram, I love seeing my dog play in the yard! Thank you so much for everything, you guys go above and beyond for our pets and again, I’m so grateful to have found your daycare for Buddy!
I have boarded my dog, Biggs, with Cohasset Kennels a handful of times and every time it has gone extremely well. All the staff is incredibly friendly and responsive and Biggs clearly has a great time even while I'm away! I recommend Cohasset Kennels to all my friends and family!

The staff is fantastic here! We have two nervous dogs who love coming here, they accommodate the needs of dogs really well and make dropping the dogs off overnight very easy and nerve reducing.

My toy ShihPoo loves it here! They separate the small dogs from the larger ones, this is the only way to ensure his safety and comfort. They are very attentive and caring, all dog lovers! Note there is a trial period to ensure your dog is a good fit, also usually a waiting list to get your pup in.
My dogs have been staying with Fox and Hound for 5 years now. My first service animal, Jack, was attacked and pretty badly injured. They paid the vet bill but it was tough to see a 16 year old dog go through the trauma and lengthy recovery. Now my new pal, who stayed there overnight last week contracted kennel cough. My vet said that even though immunized, certain strains of the virus can still infect. She's a sick pup. They should shut the place down for a thorough disinfection and more importantly, ask for medical records for all their dogs. The have never asked me for mine. Despite that they offer pick up and drop off, the main reason I continued to use them, I will never board my best pal there again. It's a far cry from the days that Robin was in charge and handled each account personally. Now it's just money, money, money.
Friendly, caring staff who manage the dogs well, giving them plenty of exercise and socialization, including outside activity as weather allows. My dog loves coming here, and our boarding experiences have been very positive.
My 4.5 year old lab mix has been going to Fox & Hound for 2 years, twice a week, for doggy daycare. She comes home happy and tired. The staff is phenominal!!! I highly recommend bringing your furbaby here for daycare, boarding and grooming. You will be very happy that you did!! And so will your pet.
My dog has had the opportunity to take advantage of many Fox & Hound programs - from Petit daycare and boarding in Norwell to puppy and now “adult” day training in Hingham. The staff is amazing!! Oh, and grooming by Lyndsey @ the Hingham location. She’s amazing too!
By far the best place I've ever taken my dog to board and for daycare. She loves going and comes home tired and happy. The staff is great and takes care of her like she's their own.
I've tried other kennels, but, this one is the best. My dogs tell me that anyway. And I tend to agree with them. They are happy and well-adjusted each time I pick them up. The owner cares and so do the staff.
Surprisingly disappointed - did not meet basic expectations. Felt like doing us a favor - not a good positive vibe. Appeared regulars get treated differently. Example: We enthusiastcally signed up for daily 15 minute walks over 6 day stay and we’re told these would occur unless there was really poor weather. When we picked him up we were ‘asked’ if it was ok that they walked him only 3 times - due to lack of available staff. Come on, you tell us after the fact that what was expected to happen did not happen - because you didn’t have staff?? Not cool - not how to run a business. I guess he was treated ok - seemed ok when I picked him up. But still, I feel bad, mostly disappointed in myself for putting trust in them - felt like I let my dog down. Not going back.
First time dog owner, and i wanted my 6 month old German mix puppy to feel good when taking him to boarding. Red Dog staff is very friendly, loved the communication with staff members. The process was very smooth and easy. All my questions were asked. My puppy (Jay) loved his time there. Staff was great. Kept asking for updates (worried dog mom) 😅 Overall my husband and I were very pleased with Red Dog boarding and Jay had the time of his life 🥹💖💖
I am someone that has had dogs my whole life and now I've found myself with a giant pandemic puppy that can be a bit difficult around other dogs and because of her size can be a lot to manage. But from the minute I went in to Red Dog and was greeted by Kerry I felt at ease. She was able to read my dog's body language and had her figured out in seconds. She knew exactly how to introduce my dog to the other dogs and within an hour I was getting photos of my dog playing with a pack of dogs, playing submissively, and I could see how happy she was. I picked my dog up at the end of the day and she was still wagging her tail excited about being there. Today I brought her back and my dog walked me to Red Dog and practically ran to the back room with Kerri. I am so excited to have an all day play zone for my pup. She is having fun, socializing, and I know she is with people that understand dogs. I wish I had brought Ripple here sooner instead of her staring at me in my office wanting to play.
I have been so impressed with Red Dog Pet Resort on every occasion I have taken my dog there! From daycare to boarding to grooming, they have been exceptional. We are always met with a friendly exchange and people who genuinely seem to love animals, even my sweet (but anxious) German Shepherd. They make me feel at ease and give me pup-dates via phone call when I call and ask. They make the experience as seamless as possible and I cannot rave about them enough!
Dog probably had a blast, but I was not happy. They set me up with the right package (although there was an error in billing) for my dog, who was 14 weeks old. She got to play with other puppies and seemed happy upon return and in the photos. There is little transparency/communication with the clients, and their portal does not work— at all. There are no live-cams or way to see your dog other than asking for each photo, explicitly and sometimes multiple times. Kind of funnily, one of the toys I brought was returned in two pieces! I got no real “status report” or “report card.” Attached are three of the photos they sent me Update: while tough to say if it’s a reflection on Red Dog Pet Resort, two days after returning, I took her to the vet for kennel cough.
We were visiting the area and needed to kennel our dog for a weekend. Red Dog staff were super, very sweet to Winni. We took a tour before boarding and it was one of the cleanest kennels we have used. Would highly recommend.
Sarah, the dog groomer did amazing and did exactly what I had envisioned for my puppy’s first grooming! The receptionist was really kind also. Overall, staff is kind and the place is tidy and very welcoming. Will definitely be going back.
Red Dog takes good care of Mr. Winston. He enjoyed weekday playgroup and staying there when we need kenneling. Its also great to have a vet on premise and the staff have personal interactions with the dogs. 2024 UPDATE : Mr. Winston died unexpectedly after a routine dental procedure from the on-premise Vet on 6-19-24 - he was 10 and was a gentle loving boy and the sweetest Australian Labradoodle going. He loved to play, travel with his people, go for boat rides, get belly rubs, lick you silly, and run in his back yard. He will be missed. Now, he doesn't have to worry and is chasing squirrels in the sky. AND ... the trust for the on premise vet is gone.
I wouldn't say this is a resort or luxury experience for your dog. We boarded our dog with them for 4 nights and there were 0 updates during his stay (no photos or anything), they would not allow you to put a camera in the kennel which seemed odd. We are not sure what he did while he was there - no visibility into if he would interact with other dogs or how long the walks were. Granted we should have asked more questions but while dropping off the place was very busy so it felt rushed and we expected them to follow up via a call. We picked up our dog at 930-10ish am and he immediately had to go to the bathroom (1&2) so I don't think he was even taken out that morning. This place honestly reminds me of a shelter - they will take care of the necessities but that's it. Review on pool / swimming lessons: We did not do the swimming experience but while we were waiting to drop our dog off another dog was in there and the staff was being very aggressive with that dog and yelling at him.
Love the Red Dog experience, all made possible by the incredible staff. It’s so comforting knowing there’s somewhere I can leave my beloved friend for the work day in a place where he feels secure. We’ve had many 5-star experiences with Red Dog by now!
My puppy had a great time at puppy playcare! I was happy at work knowing that he was getting love, attention, and socialization. I called and asked for some photos and an update and they gave me details about how his day was going and texted some photos. He passed out 3 hours earlier than his usual bedtime, so I know he had a fun day! I only wish they would have some cheaper package deals, as $60/day is not sustainable on my budget- it will have to be a special occasion!
