In a word, WOW! After dozens & dozens of housesits over the years, this was undoubtedly one of the very very best. Everything about this sit was incredible: the dogs, the home, the area and the homeowners. Sabina made me feel right at home before, during & after the sit. She put together a Welcome Guide with so much excellent & helpful detail, that it made the sit incredibly seamless. She was beyond generous, and provided lots of goodies, surprises & gifts upon arrival. Everything she did made me feel so appreciated, and that even went down to details like leaving fresh slippers/robe in the guest room & leaving a customized message on a fun little lightboard in the window. Sabina was super easy to communicate with throughout everything, and was always responsive if I had a question. She was a dream homeowner to housesit for. The dogs!! Teddy, Eleanor and Franklin were unbelievably wonderful in every way. It's clear that they are well-loved and well-trained. They're easy to feed, easy to walk & easy to live with. Eleanor in particular was one of the best dogs I've ever walked. She didn't pull once on her daily walks, and all the dogs are consistently so calm. They really are lovebugs, and Teddy & Franklin in particular will snuggle up with you, just relaxing, for hours if you let them. They are the sweetest trio of dogs I've ever met, and they were a joy to care for. I dearly miss them. The house was so comfortable to spend the week in. Like I mentioned before, Sabina went out of her way to make everything perfect, and the townhome has everything you need to enjoy your time there: a fully stocked chef's kitchen, super comfortable beds to lay down into, spotlessly clean spaces, a dedicated focus on natural/organic items, stellar water pressure & everything else you'd hope for. The organization throughout the house & garage kept impressing me throughout the week. Delray Beach on it's own is a lovely and lively town, but the location of this townhouse is out of this world. It's an easy 10 min walk to the local beach, a 3 min walk to the Intercoastal Waterway, and a 60-second walk to Atlantic Ave, which is the beating heart of this little beach town. There are more incredible restaurants, boutiques, bars, galleries, etc. within an 8-block radius of this home than you could imagine. I didn't have a car throughout the week, and it was no problem at all. In case it's not clear, I can't shower enough praise onto this homeowner, pups & house. I cannot wait until I can sit for them again. If you have the opportunity to do this housesit, don't hesitate for a single second. I certainly won't! Thanks guys!
Bailey was a lovely dog to sit and care for, a little shy at first but she soon bonded and loved a walk and cuddle and at home chasing an elusive squire in the garden
Frida is SUCH a funny little personality. She is tiny but she knows how to put herself out there if there is any possibility of friendship (she is a hoot on a patio) and she wants to be everyone’s friend. It will actually break your heart a bit when she picks up a leaf and howls with it enthusiastically towards someone who doesn’t notice her. She’s snuggly and the best hype girl when you come home. She is THRILLED pretty easily and just completely adorable. I miss her already! Andrew and Merissa are so warm and welcoming and they have made such a cozy home. Everything was clean and fresh and very well-explained in the guide, but also felt laid back and completely comfortable. They’re a sweet little family with a lovely home in my fav city in the world and I’m so thankful for my time spent there!
