Cat Sitters in Allston, MA

We've had Dorothy sit for our two cats twice this summer (see previous review.) This second time, it was reassuring to know that we've left our house and family members (cats) in charge of someone who is caring, knowledgeable, respectful and responsible. When we returned, we could tell that Dorothy and her partner had taken good care with everything. The cats were well and playful. The house was as clean or more-so as we left it and she was careful to put things back where and as she found them. We work hard to make sure the house is left as clean for the housesitter as we would like to find in a similar situation. We appreciated not having to clean up when we got home as we have had to do with another housesitter.) There was no hesitation in accommodating our wish to be in-house for the first night (they joined us for dinner and we enjoyed their company), and also when their travel plans allowed. Dorothy was very responsive whenever we had a question or concern. We hope she will be able to sit for our cats and house again.

Ender loved Alison and Paolo, he didn’t miss us at all. Communication was great. We texted about a couple of plants in the house and answered a couple of questions during the three weeks of their stay. The house was spic and span when they left. They gave us a ride to the bus stop when we left! When we needed their help getting a car key to a friend of ours, they stepped right up. Alison and Paolo are a lovely couple, they are kind and self reliant, and we hope to have them sit again for us in the future.

I couldn’t recommend these two enough! They were so attentive to Lyon - they asked for more information and seemed genuinely interested in making sure Lyon was ok. My place was spotless when I returned. We did a blind handover which was smooth and then I met them in person when I returned, and they were just as lovely in real life! I couldn’t recommend them enough.

Judith took great care of olive and sent me daily photos! my apartment was spotless when I returned.

Natalie coped extremely well with our menagerie, all the animals Wherwell and happy on our return. The house was clean and tidy too. She can come again!

Magda did a great job caring for my pets over a long weekend, and she really helped us last minute after we had a cancellation! We would happily have her again for another weekend.

Silja and Beatriz were fantastic sitters, and were especially flexible and understanding as a winter storm affected travel arrangements for our long weekend trip. Everything was clean and tidy when we got back, and Katie was very chilled, a true sign that Silja and Beatriz are excellent pet carers. I would definitely as, them back for a future sit!

Monica did an amazing job of taking care of Oli and our home while we were traveling for 2+ weeks. She arrived a day early, which was really nice to get her accustom to Oli's needs and our home. She also provided regular updates on WhatsApp and we came home to a clean home, just the way we left it. We would feel fortunate to have Monica spoil Oli again with a future sit!

Nitchakorn was phenomenal! She was communicative, punctual, clean, and very kind! Our cat was very happy when we got home. She even got our cat some new toys, which was above and beyond. We’d be happy to have her watch Marabelle again!

My dogs and cat were very happy to have Bert in our home, and I'm very grateful to him for making them so happy! Bert spent a lot of time with me in a video call prior to the sit; I appreciated the chance to learn more about him and his past pet sitting experiences, and I also appreciated his taking the time to fully understand the situation at my house before committing to the sit. His questions during our conversation showed me that he was thinking ahead and that he was serious about wanting to give the best possible care to my animals. A good friend of mine who lives in my town helped me greet Bert when he arrived; this friend told me that Bert asked a lot of good questions and was very friendly and polite. Throughout the sit, Bert kept in touch with me, sending me photos of my babies and asking me any questions that came up. He even cared enough to ask about the locations of my dogs' and cat's toys. Due to the unusual circumstances of my trip, I never got to meet Bert in person, but in the photos he sent, I always saw very happy dogs and a very pleased cat. Two of my dogs are quite shy, and the photos of them crowding in close for Bert's attention and cuddles really warmed my heart. Because my local friend was not available on Bert's last day at my house, Bert was kind enough to stick around and make the time to be at my house to welcome my next sitter. I really appreciated his help in introducing her to my pets and showing her what she needed to know before he left. It was clear to me that with Bert, my animals and home were in very good hands, I am thankful for his good care, and I would happily welcome him back into my home with my pets whenever he next comes back to Taiwan.

Victoria and Patrick were easy to communicate and plan with and were great with Lola! They sent me updates and pictures daily and we returned home to a clean house and a pooped pup. Would definitely have them sit for us again!
