This housesit was wonderful. Becki and Adam's pets are sweet and funny, a real joy to spend time with. I loved being cuddled by DJ, Carter and Chloe, all together, on movie nights! DJ and Carter are responsive on leash walks, making it easy to get plenty of exercise. Even the chickens are a hoot, curious and easy to care for. The house is quite comfortable and clean, in a safe neighborhood with plenty of sidewalks and parks. Becki's Welcome Guide is thorough and organized. I would sit for this pack again.

They provided a thorough orientation and detailed instructions on how to best care for their two sweet pups and beautiful house. I spent a lovely 9 days in sunny Owslebury at the start of June looking after the chickens, sheep, veg & flower garden. The dog went on holiday and Valentine the incredibly elusive outdoors cat pretty much looked after herself, (I think she preferred a warm takeaway to the food I left out for her) so it was just the farm animals. The star of the show was the marvelous Guinnea Fowl who did a fantastic job of patrolling the chicken run and raising the alarm whenever he detected the foxy fox nearby, which was often. I didn't realise just how much I appreciated him watching over the hens till he disappeared for a while on my last day. It was just eerily quiet! Every day I'd take a book and hang out with the chicks for a while so they could stretch their legs outside the run and there were a few occasions when the GF alarm went off drawing my attention to the Foxy Fox across the field eyeing up dinner. GF took it upon himself to make it clear to FF the game was up! An important job and one he took very seriously. Three cheers for the wonderful Mr Guinnea who even did nightwatch perching up in the tree above the coop! Locket and John were great too, of course! I stayed in the main house, rather than the cottage you see in the photos. The bed was really comfy and the gardens and views from the house were stunning. Thanks again Locket, I really enjoyed looking after the animals and keeping the veg garden watered for you. If you're a sitter looking for a peaceful retreat and a taste of the good life this sit comes highly recommended.
This was a great sit and I really enjoyed looking after Phoebe, Purdey and Twiggy, along with the guinea pigs. They were well behaved, easy to care for and no trouble at all. Sophie and Federico were very welcoming and communication was good prior to and during the sit. The house is situated amongst vineyards and fields, so was great to catch some peace and quiet! The accommodation is very comfortable with a super comfy bed and Sophie made sure I was logged into the WiFi and TV before leaving. All in all I had a great sit and would highly recommend 😊
Kelly is such a pleasure to housesit for. She is very detailed and loving host. I really enjoyed my stay with Melli. She loves her rubs and snuggles and has super soft fur. She is adorable and sweet to be around and share love. Kelly's apartment is filled with joy, light gorgeous view and lot of beautiful details from her travels. Was lovely to find out that Kelly lived in a same village in Guatemala as me. We both love traveling and the outdoors. Kelly is very appreciative and kind soul and I would definitely love to come back in the future when she needs help with her sweet kitty again 🐈 ❤️ 🙏
Gracie is the sweetest cat. And Susan and Rich were lovely people. They left me groceries, checked in on me regularly and they have a wonderful home. I would definitely sit for them again.

Top-notch care by really caring humans. I love The Mindful Mutt crew! They truly care for my pup and work with her to stimulate her little brain. The fact that this is a *structured* daycare makes a huge difference in my dog's life. They play, train, and rest during the day. The scheduled rest times ensure my dog will not go into overdrive and remains a happy, balanced dog. When I pick up my Luna she is physically and mentally tired and never wants to leave. I can't sing any more praises to Deanna and her team. They are the best!!
We love The Mindful Mutt! My dog is pretty anxious but the staff is thoughtful about how they handle each dog and very kind. Almost every day at pick up, a member of their team gives me a little overview of how the day went. Deanna, the owner, is super responsive and communicative. My dog seems to really like all of them! They also take videos throughout the day and post to instagram — it’s so nice to be able to check in and see how they are doing.

Every time I bring him he gets super excited and now doesn't even look back when I drop him off! The mindful mutt is a doggy day care on a whole new level. The owner, Deanna, is wonderful and will take great care of your pup. The dogs get to play and do mind games during their stay, keeping them engaged a happy. They get a walk as needed, and they can even stay overnight - with Deanna on site! We have searched long and hard around Boston for day care, with a wide range of staff/facility "levels" (to stay nice) but this place is by far the best. We love Mindful Mutt — they take excellent care of our senior dachshund when we are out of town, and we get many many photos of him as an office assistant giving kisses to the team. Everyone is so gentle and relaxed and we can’t overstate how much we appreciate the great care.
We left our dog Lucy with the Mindful Mutt while we had to travel for two weeks and we felt very comfortable that she was being taken care of. The staff was all very kind and you can tell they care for the dogs. Our little puppy Mack has been going to The Mindful Mutt weekly (+ some overnights) for over 4 months now. Deanna and the entire Mindful Mutt team are some of the most caring people in general, let alone with animals. It has been such a an amazing experience bringing Mack. Instead of causing a ruckus at home, he gets to go a few days a week to play (and learn how to play) with all sorts of other dogs, works on his skills, and gets to have some structure in his energetic puppy life. We love TMM!
We feel unbelievably fortunate to have found The Mindful Mutt. We have two dogs and we trust Deanna implicitly with them. The team is also extremely responsive when we call with questions and they reach out to us timely if there's anything they need to bring to our attention while our dogs are there. We seriously won't board our dogs anywhere else at this point. It's so comforting knowing we can go out of town and our dogs are at a place where they're cared for and happy. We've lived all up and down the east coast with our pups, and this is far and away the best we've ever felt about where we board them. I give Deanna and her team my highest recommendation.

Above & Beyond Pet Services is wonderful. I transitioned my King Charles Cavalier to dog walks about 12 months ago from doggie daycare as I realized he preferred the one on one attention. Sophia has been his primary walker for several months now. She is very attentive to Asher and will always mention in her notes if she notices anything out of the ordinary. I met her and she is very kind and caring. I know that Asher is in good hands and that she is able to adjust to his needs each day which differ based on my schedule with him and if we walked the prior night or earlier in the morning. I know that he looks forward to spending time with her whether they walk or play depending on his needs for the day I know she is giving him lots of love and attention. I am so grateful to have this incredible reliable and professional service for my dog who is my family.

I've been using Above & Beyond for years, and they've always done a great job taking care of my two cats. I have them bring in my mail, in addition to putting out food and water, and scooping the litter. I get nervous about leaving my cats for trips, but the daily email updates A&B sends with photos of the cats and the services they're doing really puts my mind at ease. They've always been easy to schedule and communicate with. Would highly recommend.

The Daily Stroll has been a second home for our dog since he was a tiny puppy. The staff and the manager Eric obviously LOVE our dog and have helped raise him. This large dog facility is great for our small but very high energy pup, and he always gets nice and tuckered out playing with the other dogs. We feel lucky to have this option close to home, and would highly recommend it to any local dog owners.

Absolutely love Sam's Pet Patrol! He is extremely knowledgeable about animals and is invested in my pet's wellbeing, always sending me updates about my dog's walks and boarding. He's very consistent and flexible - he's been great about handling last minute scheduling changes. I've used his services for midday walks when I need to go into the office as well as longer term boarding when I need to go out of town. Can't recommend this service enough!
Sam is an absolute angel and a wonderful trainer and dog sitter! I’ve been having him walk and take care of my dog for a few years, and she is so happy when she sees him that she literally leaps into his arms. He is very thoughtful and attentive to each dog he cares for, and spoils my dog rotten! He’s punctual, reliable, and I can always count on him to be flexible when my work or travel schedule goes awry. For example, when my flight was more h to a four hours delayed, Sam offered to keep my pup overnight at no charge, and allow me to pick her up in the early morning. I have recommended Sam to several friends and neighbors, and they’ve always been very happy with his services as well.
Great decision to use Sam to dog sit while visiting our granddaughter in Boston. Sam took wonderful care of Cody and even picked him up and returned him to our in-town hotel. Second day Cody went off with him happily and was excited to greet him. It made our city visit, with dining out, stress free. So happy we found Sam. I’d highly recommend him.

Sam is fabulous. We found him when we were desperate to board our elderly dog while his owner was in the hospital. He was incredibly communicative and reassuring. It was like leaving a child at kindergarten and Sam was as comforting as a kindergarten teacher! The little guy got excellent care, well fed, time outdoors. And Sam has continued to be available even for challenging requests. I recommend him without hesitation. He has been a calm space in some very stressful situations.
Try it for yourself! Sam is an outstanding professional dog trainer. My husky tends to be erratic sometimes but Sam had the correct approach, I was baffled by all the knowledge he puts into practice with dogs!

Alexis is responsive and reliable! Her love and knowledge of animals is apparent. She has a great sense of humor and is easy to get along with. She always sends pet photos and notes when she's on the job. My cat and dog love her. I don't worry about my pets when I'm out of town, because I know Alexis is providing superior care. Alexis has been a great dog walker for my 65 pound Goldendoodle, Bailey! He is a good boy, but does require extra attentiveness to keep him from eating things he should not eat during walks. He really is relentless about it, so I would not trust him with just anyone. Alexis pays extra attention to prevent this, which is especially important as he is a resource guarder, so once he gets something it is very hard to get it from him and I definitely don't want him eating things that could be harmful to him. I trust Alexis to help keep him safe. She has been very helpful to me during times when I was injured and recovering from surgery and could not walk Bailey myself as well as when I was on vacation and needed someone to walk him while my friend staying with him was at work. On top of it all, Alexis shows Bailey lots of love and he gets very excited when she comes, giving lots of hugs and kisses! I highly recommend Alexis! She has been great for my very lovable, very good, but a bit difficult big boy!!

Alexis truly cares about animals and takes wonderful care of them. She bonded beautifully with my cat and kept me posted daily with hilarious accounts of his activities. He really seemed to enjoy hanging out with her - which is saying a lot, because he isn't usually very happy about it when I have to go away. I highly recommend Alexis for pet care. She has taken care of my cat when I've been away on trips for 6 years now. I have been very happy with her care - as has my cat. Alexis actually takes the time to brush and pet her when she visits, not just clean the litter box and give her food. When I return my cat is calm and content - which tells me she felt cared for while I was away. Alexis also pays attention to the details, leaving things neat and tidy. She has a deep sense of compassion for animals and clearly feels a sense of responsibility to do a job thoroughly. I couldn't ask for more. It's a great comfort to know that while I'm away, my cat is in good hands.
Alexis is simply a pet owner dream came true. She is a pet whisperer. My older cats who wouldn't accept anyone till after 11th visit came to cuddle with her instantly. It was heart to heart connection. Alexis is a genuinely caring, precise and incredibly nice person. I am a crazy kitty mom, but I felt very much at ease on my vacation trip getting beautiful pictures of my cats enjoying their life under Alexis care. So happy I finally have the trusted and reliable care for my cats when I travel!

Avi is great! I was new to the Boston area and needed pet care over the Christmas holidays. I don't like the idea of boarding and waited too long, so I still hadn't confirmed anything a few days before I was set to leave. I was so stressed and it was so unexpected how well everything turned out once I contacted Avi! He was super flexible and accommodating, sent pictures of my cats every day, was significantly cheaper than boarding, and my babies were MUCH, MUCH happier staying at home instead of a cage for over week. I was a little worried about giving my keys to someone, but Avi is very trustworthy and there were no issues at all. It couldn't have worked out better and I will be using Avi from now on to help out when I am out of town. I'm a little late writing this review, but I'm about to call him again because I will be out of town for the weekend. Honestly, Avi is much better than boarding! You should call him!
Needed help when a last minute business trip came up and Avi came to the rescue! One of my dogs has severe separation anxiety, and was more than a handful, but Avi handled him like a champ and won his (very hard earned) trust. Would definitely recommend Bark and Purr to anyone looking for a kind and caring individual to help them with their pets!

This man is an animal abuser. I brought my dog in to be looked after for a couple of hours, when I came into his business, he was very aggressive with a small dog. He had swung it into his crate. Another time he had grabbed a dog and had it in a headlock. He yells & swears at the dogs and cats. He also swears at them. Please do not take your dogs here. He is an animal abuser.

Michael has done a wonderful dog taking care of our dog Penny for the past 5 years. He provides in home care at his home, as well as walks at our house when needed. Every time, my dog gets so excited to see him. He sends pictures and updates while we are away. We are so fortunate to have such a responsible and kind caretaker for our pup while we are away.
Mike has been my pet sitter for 5 years and has provided consistently excellent service the whole time. He visits my furry friends when I am out of town and provides them with fresh food and milk daily. He also sends me a little video of them each day! When I have needed help with extra things (bringing in packages, watering plants), he has done those things as well. He is reliable, kind, and very good with animals. My little guys love him. Mike has also done great with improvising to handle unexpected situations (e.g. I was out of town longer than expected and hadn't left extra pet food). I trust him fully. I have high standards for pet care and Mike exceeds them every time. I recommend him without reservation - as do my pets!
Mike has been walking my dog for about 2 years now, and we couldn't be happier with him. He is flexible, and reliable. When I can't be home to walk my dog, I don't worry because I know I can depend on Mike. After each walk he will always send me an update on how the walk went. He also does nice little things like taking in mail and packages etc. I highly recommend Happy Dog.
I have been working with Michael and Marcia for close to 2 years and I can't emphasis how much I appreciate them. I feel incredibly lucky that I found such trustworthy, kind, and responsible walkers for my dog Gus, who absolutely LOVES Michael and Marcia. I've had my fair share of unreliable walkers, so when I started working with Happy Dog, all my worries and anxiety over whether or not Gus is being well taken care of went away. Mike and Marcia have been walking Rosie for the past 2.5 years. Rosie loves them and her week day walks, it’s been the highlight of her day. We LOVE Happy Dog! When we moved to Belmont 6 years ago, I was very worried about finding a reliable & trustworthy person, that also loved our high maintenance frenchie who would care for her during the work week. Michael came to my house to meet our dog, and I seriously grilled him (we joke about this now). Thankfully, I didn’t scare Michael away & he agreed to take care of our Birkin GiGi. The bond that Birkin has with Marcia & Michael melts my heart. One of the highlights of my day is checking Happy Dog’s facebook posts, cannot get enough of the adorable dog photos. My dog is sick often, Marcia and Michael text to check in on Birkin. Marcia & Michael always make sure to stock everyone’s favorite treats! It’s easy to see that this is not just a job for them, they truly LOVE the animals that they care for. I cannot recommend Happy Dog enough!
Mike and Marcia have taken care of both of our dogs, since 2006. They take our current dog, Lucy, on daily walks, which includes some socialization with other dogs - a big deal, since our dog is very much an only child. And we also board Lucy overnight with them, sometimes for weekends and occasionally when we take long trips away. They even helped us when our previous dog recovered from surgery, and provided appropriate and loving care during a lengthy recovery. We trust them completely and do not hesitate to recommend them.
I have known Mike for over a decade. I have entrusted him to care for two beloved chocolate labradors, both rescue dogs. The key word is trust. When we got to the stage of caring for a 100lb geriatric dog, Mike stepped up and helped us get through various canine health issues that many times were not trivial. It would have been impossible to have provided quality end of life care without Mike. Mike can “read” dogs and will make good decisions about how the dog is doing and what will work or not work in a given situation. My current labrador is very sweet but has triggers that can lead to bad behavior. Shortly after getting her Mike helped me figure out her triggers and what situations were doable and what was a no go for her. Mike has taken care of my dogs at my house during travel. The last trip, within an hour of him arriving he sent me a picture of my puppy belly up on the couch wanting belly rubs from Mike. She loves and trust him. That is everything to me. I highly recommend Mike and HappyDog.
Mike and Marcia are the absolute BEST! They have been taking care of my dog, Mali, for her whole life-she's now 15-and have made a huge difference in her quality of life. They are responsive, caring, flexible, and responsible. The BEST dogwalkers, dogsitters in the area! I highly recommend them.
Darrell has been absolutely wonderful and accommodating with my hectic schedule! I can tell my pup loves staying with him and is well cared for! I would absolutely recommend their services and am thankful that they have been so welcoming and helpful! Updated review: My dog has now been going to Leash Dog care for almost 2 years and has never had any issues. The team are attentive, always updating me with pictures, and my dog clearly has a wonderful time. On top of that they work around my schedule so nicely and are accommodating as well. I will continue to recommend them if looking for overnight care, playgroup or even a walker!

Darrell and his team at Leash have been caring for my dog and cats while We’re out of town traveling for years now. They always provide consistent, responsible care, send me photos while I’m away, and my pets are always happy and cared for when I return.
We have been using Leash Dog Care walking services in different occasions and Darrell and his team are always on time to pick Lily up. She always returns happy and gets very excited when she knows that somebody from Leash is waiting outside the door for her. Darrell is very responsible and always responds our questions. He does his job with love and it's noticeable.
We are so happy we've found Darrell and his team at Leash. The playgroups are wonderful and, when our dog has boarded with Darrell, our dog seemed to be having a vacation of his own with the other doggies! Darrell really helps the dogs feel at home when he's caring for them. Whenever we see Darrell in the neighborhood, our dog gets SO excited and wants to go with him. Our dog Ozzy loves leash! We have used leash many times for dog walking and boarding. They are very communicative and always send cute pictures and updates on how our dog is doing. They also are very flexible with pick up/drop off times for boarding. Highly recommend!
We LOVE Darrell and his team! Our puppy, Lana, comes home from playgroup every day tired and happy. He has been super flexible and understanding of our crazy schedules as we are both residents. My husband, pup, and I moved to California literally over a year ago and still talk about how wonderful Tail Waggerz is as a day care and boarding facility. We have not been able to find anywhere in LA that comes close to the Tail Waggerz experience. The staff is SO caring and sweet. The facility is wonderful--indoor and outdoor spaces. And the doggie/staff crate-free sleepovers are exactly the environment my dog wants if he's not at his own house. We miss you, Tail Waggerz!!

My husband and I booked our mini dachshund puppy for his first grooming appointment at TailWaggerz and we are extremely happy with their services! The front desk person was very friendly and showed us a video of our puppy playing with another dog while he waited to get picked up. The price was reasonable and our puppy came home smelling and looking great (with a very festive St. Patrick's bandana!)
We are so grateful for Tail Waggerz. Our dog has been a regular at daycare since he was a puppy and always comes home tired and happy. The staff is super friendly and knows the details of our dog's day. It's also incredibly convenient that they have grooming attached in the back. Usually our dog only has his nails trimmed. Yesterday we had the very unfortunate experience of having our dog sprayed by a skunk. The smell was obviously horrible. We brought him in for grooming and the job they did with him was amazing. We are so grateful and relieved.

I couldn’t be happier with Tail Waggerz. I did what most people do. Take to the local Facebook community forum and ask for opinions on where to take my very shaggy golden retriever. I had been going to Petco , which was great, but they never had availability sooner than one month. I got an appointment next day due to a cancellation. Filled out the online intake form , had my vet forward vaccinations and we were off. He was nice and trim, bright coat, smelled like a million bucks! Price was amazing and less than Petco. Can’t recommend Tail Waggerz enough.
Truly couldn’t be happier with my experience thus far, after switching my pup to TW after four years at another daycare in brookline that I knew my dog loved, but I was highly uncomfortable with the people who worked there and the frequent turnover of staff. I feel confident dropping Honey off everyday, and she feels safe and so excited to see her new favorite staff and dog friends. Her boarding experiences have been seamless and she comes home SO happy, as well. She is a tail wagger everyday after tail Waggerz. She didn’t go one day this past week, and I had to deal with her mini tantrum about having to stay home with me. But I digress… Everyone who works there is extraordinarily professional and nice. Robyn, Megan, Abbie especially, and of course everyone else are so friendly and fantastic with dogs. I appreciate that both the staff and dog pack at TW is tailored to meet everyone’s needs, including owners’. What a fantastic place and community to be a part of.
This place is the best! We were taking our dog to a different facility before because, being a Boston Terrier puppy, he would not know when to stop playing and we felt going somewhere where he would be in a private room for a few hours between play times would be a good fit. After a few months going there we noticed the quality of the service began to go downhill... They forgot about more than one meal, causing him to develop a new behavior (started nipping our feet when he was hungry, which has been hard to untrain) due to being put in his room without food. Gladly, we found Tail Waggerz! First of all, all employees are clearly dog people and seem to really enjoy their jobs! They are attentive, keep me informed of everything that happens during the day, and he LOVES going there. Price is fair and there is a good discount for packages. They are always posting great pics and videos of all the fun the dogs are having on Facebook. Have not tried their grooming services yet but I heard great things about them. Keep up the good work!
Tail Waggerz is a 2nd home to my Lily. They are staffed with wonderful, animal-loving humans. I trust Tail Waggerz completely. I know Lily is well taken care of and having a great time. I have nothing but the best to say about Tail Waggerz.
