Brittany is lovely and was so good with Ziggy! Got regular photos (and she takes great
Photos). House was perfect when we got home. Happy dog. Highly recommend and would gladly have her house sit again.

I want to start this review by saying that Nate is an extremely kind and good person, and this was confirmed not only by me but by people who met him during a difficult week he and my cat and I all had at the beginning of his sit. Everyone liked Nate, as I had. However, Nate and Pookie (my 10 year old cat) and I found ourselves in a very tough spot when Pookie was so scared and upset by having a stranger in his home that he refused to come out, even to drink water and use the litter box. Nate and I had to end his sit early. I do not believe that this was completely Nate's fault in any way. I DO believe that as we come out of the Covid shutdown and people start traveling again, we all need to realize that our pets are perhaps a little traumatized too, since many of them have been home with their owners 24/7 for a long time. Pookie has always enjoyed having someone stay with him while I travel, but this time he really struggled. The only criticism or suggestion I have for Nate (and anyone agreeing to a sit with a cat!) is to realize how sensitive they are, and if they are hiding and not using their box or drinking water they can get themselves into a medical emergency quite fast. They are both more sensitive than many realize (the cliches about cats' "independence" are utterly false!) and more in need of direct care. Going forward, I will always make sure that my sitter has some "back-up" in case there is a problem and my pet becomes shy or fearful. Ultimately, Nate and I had to agree to cut his sit short because he simply wasn't able to convince Pookie to come out of hiding and use his box! But Nate was good-natured about this and everyone who met him felt that he genuinely was trying hard to help Pookie and was a very nice person. I wish Nate all the best and I certainly would trust him to care for my apartment and to do his best to care for anyone's pet. He is reliable and kind.
