We enjoyed getting to know Milton and liked this neighborhood in Playa del Carmen! Milton is a sweet cat. He gets vocal when he's hungry, and he will make rounds at night for attention while you're in bed. He enjoys being brushed and he was very good for us. We rented bikes to get around town while were here and with the bike lanes PDC has installed, it was easy to get downtown or to the beach on bikes. The place is also accessible by taxi and we liked having a grocery store nearby. Taiss and Rob were very welcoming and their home is lovely. They gave us great info and some Whatsapp connections that were helpful during our stay. We would gladly sit for them again if we find our paths crossing in the future!
We want to thank our kind and generous hosts Ali and Rog for the opportunity to spend a few days in Bellingen looking after their friendly pooches and gorgeous home. The doggies, Winnie and Maddy were a delight, warmed to us quickly, behaved well, enjoyed a couple of daily neighbourhood walks, and are obviously well raised and loved. The vintage home is pretty special. It is lovingly restored, spacious and we felt comfortable and welcome. There are verandas in front and on one side with views to the Dividing Range as well as a huge covered back entertaining area where we hung out with Winnie and Maddy when La Nina decided to bucket down for a couple of days. A large, lush garden surrounds the entire block. In addition to the pooches, a couple of magpies who are part of the family would drop in daily for a snack, catch-up and to shelter from the rain. Logistically, the house is a short 10 minute stroll into Bellingen for coffee or a shop and a perfect launching pad to visit waterfalls and parks in the area. The Bellinger River is also close by for a swim, paddle or picnic. In summary, we found our stay to be an ideal pet and house sitting experience combing charming hosts, enjoyable pets, vintage home, gorgeous gardens and proximity to a charming village and sites. Thanks again Ali and Rog.
