We had a wonderful time sitting with ‘the ladies’ for Lauren, Barry and Carol. They were generous and easy going hosts with a lovely home in a great location but most importantly... Cher, Lola and Alice! They are gorgeous cats with of course wonderful personalities. Cher is a bit of a snuggler, Lola loves to be visible and around but on her terms and Alice loves playtime with me. We did another brief sit here as well and would happily stay again anytime we’re free! (Sorry guys I forgot to write the review earlier!)
Pauline set me up with a stress fee stay, and I arrived as they were leaving, with no worries, at all. Dakota and Bandit are two absolute cutie pies, each with their own special personalities. They might be laid back, but they were so special to hang out with, and just have a chill, relaxed time. We had a few drizzly patches, but with company like this, being cozy inside was a pleasure. I know the area, and this is such a superb location, on the northern Santa Barbara County coast. I’m a bike rider, who enjoys just a few hours, not all day epics, and I had so many choices, right out the door. After feeding my furry friends, I could sneak out, as they had nap time. Jalama Beach, Santa Rosa Road, the Highway to Gaviota, Harris Grade to Los Alamos, and through the extensive bike lane system through town, to the rail station on the beach, left me smiling. I’d get back, get the fellas outside, have lunch, let them nap, and then, the Lompoc pool is just 5 minutes away, the Mission is so close, there is a park around the corner, a 20 minute walk to the museum and murals, Im exhausted thinking about it! I’d get back, outside we went, happy dinner time, I’d even get a feed, and then it was time to relax. A special place and time, with 2 special dogs, who are obviously well loved, and cared for.
I had a great time caring for Mimi and Chuck in Zurich at Carmelas place! Carmela was super friendly and welcoming. Communication was easy and effortlessly. Her place is super nice, clean and central. Chuck and Mimi are the sweetest and cuddliest companions. Can highly recommend this sit!
We recently cared for Merlin and Poppy for 3 weeks in Louise and Adam's large family home on the outskirts of Corby. The house is comfortable and has all mod cons. The bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and the bed is very comfortable. There is a large back garden with a patio area. Merlin and Poppy are very sweet dogs, loving to be stroked and played with, they can be quite boisterous at times, on reflection I think we were probably a little too old for them, they need a younger couple who can take them for long walks.
This was a wonderful sit that I would be happy to recommend. Laureen is a gracious and generous host that picked me up from the train station, treated me to dinner at a vintage pub and gave me a car tour of the area. The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors friendly. Grocery stores, and the pub and coffee shop are within walking distance, as is the train station and bus stop. I enjoyed rambling about on the numerous public footpaths. Canterbury is an easy day trip and London is about an hour away. Home was clean and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The Welcome Guide had all I needed for a successful sit. Roxy and Matilda were affectionate kitty sisters with very different personalities. Both enjoyed spending time with humans and were easy going. There is a cat flap, so scooping duties were minimal and they could come and go as they liked.
Grace’s home is so wonderful! It was clean and in a perfect location near shops and restaurants. Nellie is a sweet pup and easy on walks. Would highly recommend their home for your stay.
