Rose and Ed were wonderful, warm, hospitable hosts. I was welcomed by my country’s National dish for dinner the first evening and the family members I met were all lovely! The two girls, Labradors Bess and Jaimie are also delightful to take care of. At four, they are both energetic, but listen perfectly and are very loving dogs. Jaimie needs a nose nozzle as she can be naughty, 😘 but she is brilliant in having it put on, and it doesn’t spoil her playful mood. The girls have a wonderful woods opposite the house where they can run, dig, sniff and swim to their heart’s delight! Edna’s house is beautiful, cosy and tidy with everything you need plus the location is great, being near to the beach and city. Thanks so much Rose and Ed, I will gladly help out again in the future!
It was so lovely looking after Max and Bailey. They are lovely dogs and are beautifully natured and adorable. Bailey does pull on the lead and is very strong so my husband Frankie at times had to hold the two of them but very duable. We really enjoyed exploring Acklington village and the surrounding walks.
Iona and Christopher were super welcoming. Batou and Watson were lovely. Batou is very playful and Watson very chilled. Had a great stay
We had a wonderful time doing the house sit for Adelle and Bruce. Adelle gave us plenty of advice and instructions on how to look after Otto, the lovely and lively cocker spaniel, and lots if information regarding the house. The house and gardens were fabulous, we really enjoyed swimming in the outside pool, especially with the heatwave that we had whilst we were their. We loved taking Otto out for his walks down to the beautiful canal which was only 15 minutes away by foot, beautiful countryside and setting. Otto is such a character and loves chasing balls and lots of cuddles, he is very well behaved and very intelligent. We thank you dee and Bruce for letting us stay in your beautiful home and for the very kind bottle of wine you left. Thank you also to the children for leaving us the beautiful hand made card. Our time in Brussels was really fantastic. Leo is a very sweet dog with lots of energy. He loves his walks and he can walk with you for hours. At the beginning he might be a bit unsure of you, but as soon as he sniffs you out he will spend every moment by your side. Taking care of him was easy and joyful with no problems attached. Karen has written everything down, all the tips and instructions, which was super helpful. She was always reachable and fast responding. Moreover, her apartment is in a very nice location with a good tram connection. We certainly recommend this sitting!
Vinny the dog is an absolute treasure and a pleasure to look after. He is basically calm and I have still never heard him bark! He is so good when walking and never pulls at all, the only issue is he's not too keen on small dogs and the people who go straight up to him to pet him. He just backs away. He was very good when I took him out for the afternoon with my daughter and son-in-law for a long walk followed by a pub meal in a dog-friendly pub. He just lay down on the floor at the side of our table and never made a sound at all, in fact you wouldn't have known he was there. We had some nice long walks in the woods and down to the river area at the back of the house. The house is within walking distance of the tram and I caught it to go into Manchester (£3.50 return). Tram station is next door to Morrisons but no car parking nearby so best to walk.
