From the moment we were accepted for this dog/house sit, communication with Lynda, Craig & Family was excellent. They kept us informed at all times regarding their travel plans and handover arrangements. On arrival we were made most welcome and introduced to the family including the two gorgeous dogs. Everyone was so friendly and pleased to meet us, we felt comfortable and confident that we would enjoy our stay. Lynda & Craig acquainted us with the workings of the house and the needs, wants and requirements of the dogs. We were taken on their usual dog walk, but other routes were pointed out on the way, and over the course of our stay, using our own OS maps, we were able to explore the area further. We were introduced to the local pub on our walk and sampled beer from the Hook Norton Brewery, which is a short drive away and well worth a visit/tour. All the information we required was in the welcome guide - printed out for reference. Over a meal that evening, we chatted with the family and found out that we had a lot in common regarding travels and lifestyle choices. The rest of our stay was a really great experience. The dogs were a joy to walk and spend time with, back at the house, where they would entertain themselves in the secure, spacious garden. This would often involve us throwing a ball for Impi, who never seemed to tire, and Thula resting quietly out of Impi’s way! The dogs got on really well together and were a delight to be with and care for, we will miss them so much. The neighbours and locals were all very friendly and easy to talk with, giving helpful local knowledge and information. This is a lovely area to visit with lots of interesting venues and is within easy reach of the Cotswolds favourites and beautiful countryside, with fabulous walks direct from the door. We were very comfortable with the dogs, the house, the area and we can throughly recommend this house sit. It was actually Lynda & Craig’s first experience with Trusted Housesitters and we hope they feel confident to continue - we would be only too pleased to visit again, if the dates are compatible. We hope to keep in touch with the family and feel as though we have made good friends, both human & dogkind. Thank you Lynda, Craig & Family for a super 10 days!
What a wonderful place to stay! Stan and May are adorable and friendly cats and the home is clean, open, and easy to care for. They have a beautiful garden with lots of outdoor seating and it’s a perfect place to work remotely. Plus, it’s in a great neighborhood, close to trails, biking, and lots of shops and restaurants. Hayyah made my stay here a breeze by being a great communicator and a welcoming host. I highly recommend staying here!
Lovely spacious house in good location. Melissa is lovely hostess, and the cats are super cute, friendly, they love attention but also very self sufficient and chilled. Would definitely sit again :)
We had a great time with Rosie and Al, minding their peaceful old farmhouse (built in 1778!) with 2 dogs, 4 sheep, 6 guinea-fowl, 10 chickens and 2 ducks - and numerous other wild birds including a barn owl. We were welcomed to a lovely shared evening meal and a home-baked cake. Rosie and Al are generous hosts and very laid back, so the housesit was very relaxing. The best part was to round up the dogs to 'check on the chickens', and then embark on the walk within their property boundary. So easy with beautiful views, and everything was in bloom. When the weather didn't play along, there were lots of interesting books and artifacts in the home. We thoroughly recommend this housesit and would love to return if we ever get the chance. Great walks in the area too, around Aberfoyle.
I had a fantastic sit at Katies with Rosie and Kittleson! They took about 30 seconds to warm up to me! They are curious, energetic and absolutely adorable. We played a lot and the dry foraging is so fun to watch. They loved snuggling up next to me on the couch and in bed. Katies place is clean, comfortable in a safe area of Portland. I would highly recommend this sit. Thanks again Katie!
Our stay with Lucy and Lobo has been a moment in paradise. They are wonderful pets - Lucy is very sweet and loving, and Lobo is so friendly and cuddly that we felt like we were watching two dogs! The house is amazing, and contains so many amenities that you'll always feel comfortable and at home. Ryan and Ali have been incredibly kind with us, left us clear instructions, and were always been responsive to messages, all of which we really appreciated. This was definitely our best Trusted Housesitter stay, thank you so much!
