The downside to this sit is that your heart will break when it’s over. Seriously, these dogs……the sweetest most loving pups you could ask for. Each has her own unique personality but every one of them so loving, sweet and kind. Lisa’s house is beautiful, the front porch is a amazing place to sit. I have to work remotely and using the front porch as my office was a luxury. The kitchen will bring out the chef in you, even if you only make toast, it’s absolutely beautiful. The garden and landscape offer not only fresh vegetables and herbs, but also plenty of fresh flowers that can be cut almost daily. The neighborhood is filled with amazing, helpful people who are happy to loan you a book, help with directions and include you in certain activities. It’s also filled with fun restraunts and brew pubs. I highly recommend chatting with the neighbors for recommendations about great places to run out for a quick meal. Lisa was easy to reach whenever questions arose and she left us with excellent instructions that helped us to feel at ease and well informed. We had a fantastic time on this sit and highly recommend you accept any invitations to sit for Lisa. We also hope that you don’t get a chance to, because we hope it’s us instead. ;)
We had such a lovely time in Saratoga Springs hanging out with Zoey! Terry & Carl have a beautiful home, and went above and beyond to make us feel at home - from preparing us a charcuterie board for our arrival, to offering us wonderful recommendations around the town. They checked in with us throughout our week to make sure we didn't need anything additional to feel comfortable in their home. Housesitting here in the hot summer was so perfect - they were kind enough to let us take full advantage of their pool and fire pit! The house required some upkeep throughout the stay, but it was all very manageable, and Terry & Carl were kind enough to show us the ropes before they left. Zoey is the absolute sweetest, and very easy to care for. She requires a short grooming routine every morning, and is so well behaved for it! We couldn't get enough of her snuggles and already miss hearing her cute little snores. Saratoga Springs is such a charming destination. We came without a car, but it was just a short 20 minute walk to downtown, and they also have city bikes available for rent all over the city! We would love to visit again if the dates ever line up.
I can’t fault our stay at Liz and Alex’s place! They’ve been a dream and super helpful ahead of the sit as well as during our stay. Their place is lovely, was incredibly clean and in a perfect location in Clifton Village. Moo and socks are an absolute delight to sit for. Moo is so playful and funny, with Socks being really cuddly and loves a good stroke. They’re both adorable. We loved our time looking after them. We would love to sit again x
