Mary
It was a pleasure to house sit for Mary. The house is in a beautiful quiet neighbourhood. Mary makes sure you have everything you need and more during your stay, and is easily reachable by text. I slept in their newly renovated guest suite with a separate entrance. Nugget and Maple are absolute sweethearts and are motivated by treats and cuddles. They are big dogs though so make sure you're vigilant about not leaving food on the counter where they can get at it. Nugget will want to be by your side most of the time, and Maple will want to chase after a toy. Minky is very friendly and vocal but only comes out when the dogs go in their crates.

Viv
We spent New Years Eve and all of January in Viv and Ted’s easy to care for and very comfortable home. In that 5 week period, we fell completely in love with Minx the sprocker and the two elderly gentleman cats.
We met Viv and Ted before they left for their holiday and they could not have been more welcoming. The house was immaculate when we arrived and they had made lots of room for us in cupboards and wardrobes. They took the time to show us around and went over the fantastic printed guide they had made for us.
Minx had never been left with sitters, so she was slightly anxious the first day, but she adapted to us quickly. She’s a very sweet and energetic girl - not a mean bone I. Her body. Digby had us wrapped around his little whisker and Sebbie even made friends - such an adorable guy.
The home is easy to live in, and the village is very friendly with lots of great walking opportunities right outside the front door. You can also drive Minx to the Jurassic coast, where she loves to walk on the beach. The neighbours and many other people recognize Minx by sight and will stop to say hello and make sure you’re getting along ok.
Yeovil and Crewkerne are super close and we even made it to Glastonbury Tor on this visit.
We loved getting to know this animal family and wish Viv and Ted the best. Recommend sit in the area!

Mellie
Mellie's home has a very calming vibe. It was so relaxing to sit on her back porch and see the mountains in the distance. The pool was refreshing on the hot Summer days. She gave us the most thorough instructions (written and videos) for taking care of her furry crew and the house. Sandy and Junior hang out in the fenced yard, and if the weather is nice, can go for hikes. They are both very sweet and listen well. They are on a solid schedule of waking up early for breakfast and they will let you know when it's dinner time. They spent the evenings with us lounging on the back porch and slept in their beds in our room all night. Dobro (the cat) wakes up early for breakfast and spends a lot of time outside during the day. He doesn't have a litter box and let us know when he wanted to go outside. There are a lot of plants, but luckily in rained most of the time. We did some watering when the forecast didn't show rain. It was easy to do with the hose and watering can that Mellie left out for us. If you like plants, this is the sit for you! We also looked after the pool by skimming the water, checking the filter baskets and running the pool vacuum. The town of Black Mountain is a special place. The people are wonderful and welcoming. The local restaurants are amazing. Mellie gave us some great recommendations. We will definitely return to Black Mountain to visit!
