We had the pleasure of looking after Shadow in Spello for a month and it was nothing short of a dream. Firstly Tom and Mike were the most gracious and generous hosts. They took the time to write us a guide to restaurants, attractions and things to do and see around Spello which was very helpful and were always a message away on Whatsapp when we had any questions. Spello is one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited and the views from Tom and Mike’s home were picturesque. The apartment was very clean and in the perfect location, right in the heart of town with everything you could need within walking distance. Now on to our favourite part of the sit - Shadow. This tiny cat has such a fun and big personality, we fell in love within the first hour of arriving. He is very low maintenance, coming and going as he pleases and he let’s you know if he needs food, cuddles or wants to play. We enjoyed coming home from a day of exploring Spello and the other surrounding towns to watch a movie on the couch with Shadow curled up on our lap. We are forever grateful for the opportunity to house-sit for Tom and Mike and hope to be able to do so again one day soon!

Taylor
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Taylor & Dan’s beautiful home in Logan Circle.- with their entertaining & sweet kitty Norma! Taylor was communicative & accommodating thruout, even delivering house keys to me the night before their departure. He had asked that I check in daily with a picture of their kitty- and those back & forth texts were helpful & friendly : ) I would not hesitate to return for another stay with Norma!

Victoria
Victoria and Thunder were a pleasure to sit for. Thunder is a gentle, sweet, older dog who could melt anyone's heart. As a senior dog he requires some specific accommodations, but all of which are more than manageable. Victoria was super welcoming, considerate, and helpful. Her home was lovely and inviting, even the neighbors were wonderful. I felt right at home and grateful for the opportunity. Logistically speaking everything went smooth and as described/expected. I would definitely sit again and recommend this sit for any future candidates.

Simon & Kaja
Kaja & Simon provided a beautiful relaxing home and wonderful pets to sit! They were great hosts from afar, keeping in touch and helping me work through a challenge provided by Jackson the cat (who is really a monkey). Not at all overbearing, they were generous, friendly and accommodating. They also let me know about all the great facilities and amenities in Blenheim, e.g. the swimming pool and the Wither Hills farm park, which was a good orientation and I did make use of these things, thus they enriched my stay.

Linda
Linda and Al were 5-star hosts! They made us feel very welcome and provided a comprehensive guide of their pets and home. Their house is charming and very comfortable and we quickly felt at home. Their neighbors were friendly and there’s lots to see and do just a quick drive into town. The real stars of the show are their fantastic pets: Crockett, Willy B, Spice and Pumpkin. Crockett and Willy B are the most lovable, happy and well-trained pups you’ll meet and bonded with us immediately. Spice, their sociable cat, entertained us with her lively conversations in the backyard. Although we only caught glimpses of Pumpkin, who prefers exploring the neighborhood, each encounter was memorable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we're thankful to Linda and Al for entrusting us with their pets and home!

Mary
This was our first experience with THS, and it was wonderful! We met via FaceTime before the sit, where Mary walked us through their lovely country home.

While there these city folk enjoyed watching the wildlife and the quiet serenity in the bucolic setting. The sunroom is to die for! And Osceola is a charming little river town that is a fun area to explore.

Lenny the dog is so fun! When I was on the loveseat, he was immediately on my lap. He’s comical and playful - I really hated to leave that sweetheart.

Marley was up for scratches, but definitely was more independent. An indoor/outdoor cat, Marley was quite self-sufficient. It was cute though, when we took Lenny for walks, Marley would follow along.

Mike and Mary left their bicycles available for us, which was nice. And one thing I really appreciate as an EV driver - we were also permitted to charge our car in their garage. Osceola is well within our battery range so we didn’t actually use this option, but it was a very thoughtful gesture!
