It was such a pleasure taking care of Croissant over the holidays, he is such a cuddly cat! Cynthia's house is super lovely and in such a great area of DC; it's so easy to get around and there are lots of fun things to do nearby.
If you’re looking for a lovely, charming house close to amenities and sites around Atlanta, go no further than Terese and Alex’s house. Their 3 cats - Sage, Bean and Guava - are so friendly and adorable, you’ll never want to leave. Each have their own personalities: Sage was very friendly and came up to us for pets; Bean was always ready for a good toy playing time; and we found pretty quickly that Guava liked to hang out on your lap. We had a fantastic long weekend in Atlanta and a lot of that is due to our housesit stay. Thanks for having us, Terese and Alex. We’d be more than happy to visit again!
We had a great time with Willa, Obi and Sumi in this beautiful location. Willa is gorgeous and very friendly. She loves her meals and will definitely let you know when it’s time for one! She liked to play at times but was also happy to have us pet her and rub her cheeks. She warmed up to us quickly. Obi and Sumi were a little more cautious at first but it didn’t take long for them to get more comfortable. We brought out a toy we had with us the first night and they were excited to play with it. Sumi, in particular, seemed to seek us out and stay nearby. Obi was startled easily the first couple of days so we learned to be careful and avoid quick movements around him, and by the end of our stay he was much more relaxed. All three cats are super sweet and we thoroughly enjoyed their company. The home itself is an older farmhouse in a pastoral setting; exactly what we’d picture in Vermont. I love old homes so I was especially excited to get to stay in one built so many years ago. It has the most beautiful enclosed porch, and I worked out there whenever possible. We stayed in a charming suite with a bedroom, sitting room and bathroom. The bed was perhaps the best one we’ve had yet while housesitting. It was super comfy with a premium mattress and lots of cozy bedding. The internet was great. Speed tests put it at between 70 and 200 mbps. I was working remotely and was thankful to have good internet, while Kevin used it to stream some TV on his computer. We took several walks around the area and found it to be just as beautiful and relaxing as we had hoped. We spent a morning at Quechee Gorge and Woodstock and would recommend both. We wished we had more time to sightsee. There's so much more to see! Finally, Jennifer was a kind and gracious host. She took us out to a nice restaurant when we arrived and took plenty of time to help us understand the cat’s routines. She clearly cares a lot about their well-being and made sure we understood how to care for them. She was great at communicating during our stay and responded to messages promptly. This was a very enjoyable experience and we’d sit again with Willa, Obi and Sumi in a heartbeat.
Guss is an absolute sweetheart! We loved taking her on daily walks around the city. Daniel's apartments is warm and welcoming. It is in a perfect location; walking distance to tons of shops, cafes, and restaurants! We were able to meet Guss and Daniel before our sit, and Daniel gave us wonderful insight on how to care for her during our stay. Daniel was easy to get in contact with if we had any questions during our sit. We had so much fun with Guss and hope to be able to spend time with her again soon!
Muffin is so great. He loves cuddling and is pretty low energy. Jackie is so sweet and let me stay an extra day!
This was such a lovely house/dog sit. The house was very comfortable with a lovely view. Dylan is such a great dog - he was so well behaved and funny. He loves to play and then come and lie next to you. He loves to be where the people are. He’s also a great navigator and can easily take you for a walk! Katie was very easy to communicate with. I’d recommend this sit to anyone.
