Josh and Suzy are amazing sitters! Not only did they agree to sit at the last minute, they cared for 39 as if she were their own. We got daily updates and pix. It was simple perfect.
We had a really lovely sit looking after Poncho, Remy and Smash. Poncho was an absolutely delightful little dog, very well behaved and loving. He accompanied us literally everywhere and was wonderful company. He sits on your lap in the car and does love to sleep in the room with you. Remy was very affectionate and loved cuddles and Smash also when it suited him. A clever boy, medication challenging initially but soon mastered it. Superb brand new, stylish apartment just about as central in St Helier as you could get. Very close to shops, beach and bus station. Nikki was brilliant to communicate with and great handover and info sheet with everything we needed to know. Would thoroughly recommend as a sit.
If anyone gets the chance to sit for Michaela and David in Bakewell they will be in for a lovely sit. Communication was excellent and a detailed care package is there for the sitter to refer too. The two donkeys and Bangers the cat are very easy to look after. Pip the Labrador is a wonderful companion and we enjoyed many a long walk through the beautiful White Peak . Pip is excellent on the leash and a complete joy to be with. He was friendly with children and other dogs which we met on our walks. There are many wonderful walks and historic buildings to explore near to Bakewell which first time visitors to the area will enjoy immensely. We made some lovely memories and the sit went far to quickly, we would love to return in the future.
We stayed with Margret the night before her trip to get to know the her and the dogs. She was very accomodating, kind and easy to talk to. Communication during the stay was easy. Margret's house is cosy, spacious and has everything you need. There are quite steep stairs up to the bedroom, so if you have mobility challenges this might not be the sit for you. The location is amazing, it is very close to the church and many shops, bars and restaurants. Her son lives in the basement (separate to where you stay, with a separate entrance) and he was there a couple days during our 10 day sit (though we didn't even hear him!) . He looked after the dogs one day so we could do a longer day trip, which was much appreciated. We loved Fífa and Úlfur and still miss them! They are very friendly and sweet dogs. They are good friends with each other and easygoing. You do have to be on alert walking the dogs. If they see another dog or cat they can pull quite strongly and bark. If you see the animal before them and tell them no, they are better behaved than when the dogs see them first ! We are so glad we got to do this sit and highly recommend it. Thanks again Margret!
Gwen and Glenn were wonderful to sit for. Their communication was great from the get go. They even had us stay the night before and Glenn made a fantastic curry (a true highlight). Tilly was a dream to sit for, such an endearing little spaniel. We had a great time walking the loop around the golf course nearby the village. We would love to come back again 😊
Caring for Olivia at Jill's lovely home was one of my favorite sitting experiences! Olivia is such a sweet, calm, and gentle kitty, who was a little shy at first but quickly became my close companion. The home itself was a peaceful oasis, centrally located but on a quiet street with a huge yard ringed by trees and full of squirrels, birds, and lovely plants. The house itself is gorgeous and modern, with everything you need and then some. I already look forward to returning!
