James and Jessica took great care of Bob. It was stormy one night and James let me know that he gave Bob his anxiety med. They had a playdate with my neighbor's dog and Bob seemed very well taken care of. They were self sufficient and left the house exactly as we left it. Thanks for taking such great care of Bob!
Truffle is an amazing yellow lab that gets around extremely well considering her blindness. She is behaved, listens beautifully and loves her treats. She adapted easily to our arrival and we enjoyed caring for her. The chickens love their compost breakfast and were happy to see us each morning. The property is lovely and we appreciated the pool during the 38C weather. Stadium Mark and Anna are easy to get along with and very knowledgeable about the area. We appreciated their hospitality and recommendations for places to see.
We had a wonderful experience looking after Gomez in Kingston. Pamela and Tarek were friendly and welcoming, communicating often both before and during our stay. They were generous hosts, providing us with everything that we could possibly want or need. Gomez is a cheerful and well-loved cat. He let us know exactly what he was looking for, whether it was food, a jaunt to the deck, playtime or just some gentle petting. Kingston is a beautiful city with lots of opportunities for adventurers in nature, music lovers, culture-seekers, and aficionados of fine dining. We would return in a heartbeat!
A stunning home and location, great pets and generous, welcoming hosts. Richard and Sonya are a lovely, friendly couple and gave us clear instructions on how to care for their beautiful home and pets. They communicated well both before and during the sit which was helpful and reassuring. Their home is a stunning thatched farmhouse in beautiful grounds which are currently being developed into a lovely cottage garden with orchard. There’s no mobile signal here (you need to go up or down the hill) but internet access was excellent in this rural area. The hens have an automated henhouse and let themselves in and out and were no trouble at all. The two cats couldn’t be more different - Marple loves to be with humans and thoroughly enjoys sitting on knees and being cuddled - she will tap you with her paw if you’re not paying her enough attention - so cute! Moose is at the other end of the sociability scale and prefers to be left alone in her own special sleeping places. She kept an eye on us whilst we were in her kitchen but doesn’t like being approached, which is fair enough! We also had the honour of keeping the sourdough starter alive during our stay - this was a first for us, it was interesting to learn about it and it was great fun! Richard and Sonya generously offered to put us up before and after the sit in the adjacent holiday cottage. This was a completely wonderful sit and we hope we get the opportunity to return.
Had a nice time at Stephanie’s. Rooney is the sweetest dog, very relaxed at home and loving human attention. Don’t underestimate him - he is full of energy and in a hurry to smell everything Stephanie was a kind and easygoing host, and her place is very well organized. Location is good for exploring DC
This was a super housesit. Susanna and Mike made me feel welcome immediately on arrival. We had a coffee and a relaxed handover before they left. Simba and Bb are super chilled cats who love company and cuddles. The donkeys, Billie and Bertie were great to be around. They enjoyed their morning and evening feed and liked company, walks around the field and especially to be brushed. The house is beautiful, set in a quiet location with beautiful walks from the garden and an easy walk across the field to the pub for a delicious lunch. Many thanks to Susanna and Mike for a great stay.
