We just loved this sit for Paul, Ali and Monty. Paul and Ali gave us a great brief for Monty and the property. The house was just lovely and spotlessly clean, with a beautiful garden in a delightful village, with great walks for Monty and a lovely pub and farm shop.
Monty was a delight! So well behaved but also lots of fun and cheekiness as well!! This would have been one of our best housesits ever and highly recommend it! Thanks Paul, Ali and Monty x

Louise
Louise was an exceptional host. She and her partner warmly welcomed us with a delicious dinner the day before their departure. Louise's kindness and generosity were evident throughout our stay, as she thoughtfully provided groceries and ensured that everything we needed was readily available. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at her house.

Communication was a breeze, making it easy for us to understand each other from the very beginning. It wasn't necessary for long explanations for the instructions.

Lottie and Sadie, the adorable doggos, were a delight to care for. They already had a routine in place, which made it effortless for us to plan our visits to central London. Lottie is a gentle boss who has strict times and maintains the boundaries for Sadie while remaining calm and composed. On the other hand, Sadie is full of energy and mischief. She occasionally plays pranks on Lottie, such as closing the door of the cage when Lottie is inside or stealing food from Lottie's dish. However, Sadie's high energy levels make her an excellent companion for long walks. Rest assured, after expending all her energy outdoors, she behaves impeccably at home.

We would highly recommend Louis as a host and Lottie and Sadie as furry friends to pet-sit.

It was really exemptional experience to take care of cute and smart Satan. Before I came, I was concerned mostly about giving him his daily inhalations, but it's proven to be really easy, couse he is so disciplined and used to it, that I could do it without any problem. After that ,the best part of daily routine was cuddling him in my lap and brushing his beautiful, soft fur.I was enjoying it as wall as he was.Whenever he saw me going to sit in armchair, he would nest cosy in my lap.Kaja was the best host, giving me very helpful advices of city's must see and providing some food in the beginning. Thank you, my dear host, I hope we'll have a chance to meet again.

This sit was like a dream, and I didn’t want to wake up.

Absolutely gorgeous countryside location, picture perfect home and garden, lovely kitty cat companion, and amazing hosts.

I can’t say enough good things about this sit. Even though the sit was posted relatively last minute, Esther (a savvy employee of the pet-parents who coordinated it all via text messages and email) made everything easy for me. She quickly responded to my texts, and was ready and willing to make changes regarding the rental car pick-up and drop-off points, ensuring I had a seamless arrival and departure.

When I arrived and was walking toward the house through the beautiful garden, it all felt a little surreal. Then I met the pet-parents, who were very real, in the best possible way. Open, down to earth, generous and very friendly, they both invested a lot of time to make me feel welcome and comfortable. Caryn took me out for a walk and showed me lots of turning off points where I could explore on my own later. She also took me for a drive to make sure I was well-oriented and show me some hidden gems. Ken answered all my questions about the house and Freddie (the cat). They both gave me the impression that although looking after Freddie and the house was important for them, their number one priority was that I should enjoy my time on their property (I DID!!!). Caryn cooked a delicious, healthy meal, the three of us talked for ages- and Caryn walked me round to the back of the house to show me a jaw-dropping sunset with the cows meandering up the hill right up to the fence in front of us.

The house and garden, set on top of a hill is (as mentioned before) picture perfect, spacious but still cozy. In spite of this, the gorgeous surrounding countryside and adorable nearby villages and towns pulled me away to explore. The house is located in the countryside where it’s deliciously quiet and peaceful. At the same time, a major supermarket was only a 15 minute drive away, a cute village grocery store less than a half hour’s walk away, and multiple pubs and a restaurant and a cafe or two within a ten minute drive. Multiple footpaths with bucolic views zigzag and loop across and around the area and I loved exploring a different route every morning. Stonehenge was only about a 30 minute drive away, and there were more castles and museums and interesting places to visit than I had time for.

But what turned this place into a home for me, instantly, was Freddie the cat. Freddie was inquisitive and affectionate from the start (though he warmed up even more over time). He was my buddy, and usually trotted up the walk to greet me whenever I returned back from a ramble. He could tolerate just about anything, but he wasn’t a lap cat. He loved being stroked on his back and chin, but not so much his belly. He also loves being talked to and flattered :) He was my companion, and he liked just hanging out when I was outside in the garden; sometimes he seemed to pop out of nowhere. It took me a long time to figure out that when he meowed at my door in the morning, it wasn’t necessarily because he was hungry, but rather he wanted to come in to sleep on the bed.

Because some may consider it a safety issue I’ll mention this: the roads in the area are narrow, winding and hilly. The thing to particularly note is that as a general rule, there is no shoulder and it’s physically impossible to swerve off the road. There may be times when it’s necessary to drive backwards a ways in order to let another car pass. Although for me this was sometimes a source of mild stress, I drove slowly and carefully and emerged without a scratch. I would definitely not let it stop me from coming again, if I’m lucky enough to be able to do so! I would absolutely, positively love to come back to sit here again and again!

This home and guest space that was shared with my while I sat sweet little Rue was more than I could ask for. There was no detail overlooked and the home itself is one of the loveliest designed houses I've ever been in, and I am a realtor! But it was still cozy, home-y, and welcoming.

The star of the show was Rue! She was a little timid at first but opened up right away after a few treats and pets/scratches. She is a sweet low-maintenance gal and loved going on both short and long walks, and sunbathing in the backyard. She was a great eater and loved playing with her squeaky toys. I hope to have the opportunity to stay with Rue again.
