Neil and Anne were fabulous housesitters. Both Max and Bindi took to them immediately. Neil and Anne went to great lengths to ensure we stayed in touch, setting up a whatsapp group and sending us photo updates regularly. They were both really friendly, we had a real giggle as we were showing them around the house and felt like we had known them for much longer than we have! They left the house spotless and even washed the bedclothes - much appreciated guys! We got the impression that Neil and Anne take this much more seriously than just a housesit - it seemed that they really wanted to dip into local life and treated the house and animals with the same respect and love as they would treat their own. They had researched the local area, made reservations at the local pub and had a range of questions about the animals and their particular needs. We already reached out to them prior to this review and said we would be more than happy to have them stay again. Thank you for taking such good care of our home and furbies whilst we were away!
Wendy was very easy to work with and incredibly thoughtful! It was a pleasure to stay and take care of her Callie girl! We hope to do it again in the future.
Housesitting for Julie, Jeremy and their lovely pups was the best way to spend holiday season in Australia! Julie and Jeremy were wonderful hosts and made sure we had everything for a comfortable stay in Townsville. Julie showed us around the town and left detailed instructions. Communication was great throughout the whole sit, and we could always count on their local expert tips. The house is very comfortable and clean, located in a nice neighborhood with a beautiful lake perfect for dog walking, jogging, and birdwatching. There is a shopping center within walking distance and the drive to the city center is only 10 minutes. There’s so much to do in the area: beaches, hikes, snorkeling, mountains with swimming holes, wildlife encounters, shopping – we never ran out of fun stuff to do. Still, the highlight was hanging out with the two cuties: Cookie and Toby. They are such loving, funny, friendly creatures! Cookie is obsessed with chasing a ball and always ready for a running session – it’s amazing how much power hides in her tiny body. Toby is the chill master: he prefers belly rubs and grooming sessions and saves his energy for the feeding time frenzy. We really appreciated Toby and Cookie’s trust and affection and could not have asked for a better company during our Australian holidays. Thank you, Julie, Jeremy, Cookie, and Toby, for a wonderful time in Queensland!
Cleo and Widget are really easy to care for. Their house was very comfortable to spend time at.
It was a privilege to care for Claire and Allans beautiful home and adorable Monty.
Sophie & Talya are a lovely couple, having a super affectionate dog in Nelson. I appreciate Sophie double checking whether I was ready for a dog with anxiety, cause Nelson needs his fair share of reassurance that everything is okay and that he's safe, since he can get scared when he thinks you might leave and/or when he hears (sudden) sounds he isn't familiair with (yet) and/or there's movements / passengers etc that he wasn't expecting. Because I was inside most of the sit, working on my laptop, I was a relatively calm presence for Nelson and we connected in a (to me! - can't speak for Nelson:)) heartwarming way. Sitting together on the couch, playtime in the garden, our daily walks, it became a clear routine in which Nelson got to trust me in such a way that telling him that everything was going to be okay became like his cue to lay down and calm down, ready for some belly rubs :) Thankful for Nelson's trust and Sophie & Talya's trust, having made this both a very chill pet/house sit (Sophie & Talya's apartment is well taken care of, clean, with a nice garden) to do my writing at, as it is a pet/house sit to be bring your big love to for an adorable dog, that simply needs regular reassurance that you're there as a safe haven.
Had a very nice stay with Lexi at Audrey's home :) Lexi is a gorgeous dog, easy to care for and our two daugthers fell in love with her right away (they are 10 and 5 years old). We all enjoyed taking her out for walks surrounded by beautiful nature and cuddling her on the couch :) Audrey was very uncomplicated, welcoming and flexible about arrival and departure time. Would 100% recommend a stay here!
