Jennifer and Andrew were the dream duo of pet sitters! From the moment we video chatted through the end of the visit they were kind, warm, and focused on taking care of my kitty. Pasha warmed right up to them as soon as they arrived and it is obvious they could take care of any pet. My house was probably cleaner than I left it, and they were extremely considerate to ask if they should remake the bed with fresh sheets, do laundry, etc. Pasha and I really enjoyed having them and hope they come back!
We had a wonderful week looking after Crumpet and Jonathan in James and Kirsten's beautiful home, the time absolutely flew by and we were very sad to leave. Crumpet is possibly the best dog ever. She was a wonderful walking companion, easy to walk off the lead, never straying far from my side. When it was time to put the lead on she was obedient and never pulled. At home she was so silent, I don't think we heard her bark once! Unlike many labs she never begged for food and we were able to eat freely with her lying quietly nearby. We also adored looking after Jonathan the Maine Coon. An absolute beauty of a cat and also very affectionate. We felt a bit sad that he couldn't be outside with us in the garden but it wasn't difficult to prevent him escaping and we spent plenty of quality time with him in the evening. He's very placid, happy to be picked up, stroked etc. The home we stayed in was stunning, super comfortable and stylish with all mod cons. James and Kirsten have created a really amazing place to live and we feel super lucky to have been able to experience living there. Finally, Dartmouth is a great town - full of history, beautiful walks, friendly people...so much to do. All in all, a fabulous 5 star sit!
Miso and Atlas were super fun and easy to take care of! And Zoe was very friendly and left good instructions on what to do.
We had a lovely time looking after Bonnie. Sue and Robert were welcoming, kind, and warm. They genuinely took the time to get to know us which resulted in us feeling comfortable. Their lovely dog Bonnie is an absolute sweetheart, we enjoyed getting to know her personality. Sue and Robert have a wonderful home, surrounded by local walks. They left helpful instructions and took the time to show us around the area. We are looking forward to looking after Bonnie again in August/September.
Kate and Dom’s home was comfortable with everything we needed. It was an easy walk into Wrexham city center via a walking path close to their house. A kind gift of coffee and welsh cakes on arrival was very much appreciated. They even gave us recommendations for the local pubs… which there are many. The cats were entertaining with the older cat Beatrice at times having to put playful Merlin back in his place! They were very easy to look after with clear instructions given by Kate. The 3 hens were free range and quite tame once they got to know us even allowing a pat! They would make their way back to the coop at the end of the day. As an added bonus we enjoyed the 2 eggs every day. The fish in both aquariums needed feeding once a day. Overall it was a pleasurable sit. Highly recommended! Thanks again Kate and Dom for pick up and drop off at train station.
We had the pleasure of looking after Suky during our stay at Simon and Jenny's cottage. The property is idilic, with the surrounding fields and pond making the perfect place for a walk. Suky herself was wonderful, very easy going and always by our side. Simon and Jenny were excellent to deal with, ensuring we had everything we needed and recommending great local coffee shops etc All in all we could not recommend this sit enough!
I recommend housesitting for Sue, she is a lovely welcoming person and her Staffies Willow & Blossom are just beautiful. Sue briefed me about the girls' feeding & routines the night before & although she was out of communication for part of the sit, gave me a list of emergency contacts so I felt comfortable. It was great taking the girls to the dog park & meeting many English pooches & snuggling up in bed with them. Blossom is a young fun loving dog & loves everybody & Willow is mellow, occasionally stepping in to keep Blossom in line. There was also Hugo the cat to look after who has adopted Sue, and her fox friends to feed jam sandwiches as well. The house is very cozy & in the hills, a short bus drive to Brighton.
