The pets: I stayed with Breagha, Nim, and Esme for 11 days and I was so sad when it came time to leave. I truly fell in love with all 3 of these sweet girls and I miss them already. Nim and Esme are such a breeze to take care of. They are very low maintenance cats and are always happy to cuddle. 🥰 Breagha is the sweetest and most well behaved pup. She is so playful and I loved taking her with me to cafes and restaurants. She sits calmly and just watches people go by. She does not react or bark at other dogs and she always comes when called. Walking her and playing with her off leash was so much much. She loves to play fetch, especially if she finds a good solid stick on the ground. The home: This is such a lovely home in such a great location! You can walk to the grocery store in less than 10 minutes and you are just down the road from a great open field where you can take Breahga for potty breaks and play sessions. Being so close to Kelvingrove park and University of Glasgow is awesome and I loved taking Breahga with me to explore the grounds. The neighborhood is very quiet and very safe. I felt very comfortable the whole time I was there. The hosts: Alex and Raminta are such lovely hosts. They answered all of my questions and left great instructions for everything home and pet related. They even created a Google doc with super helpful information and recommendations for things to do in town and places to eat! On top of it all they even offered to have a dog walker come so I could take a day trip to Loch Lomond and Stirling Castle. It was so great to get that opportunity to explore a bit more of Scotland’s beautiful landscape. Definitely 5 stars all around! I has such a great experience.
This was a wonderful house sit. The dogs are sweet and fun, the home is lovely, and Jerry and Craig were gracious and hospitable hosts. They communicated with us quickly and effectively when we had questions. The home is located in a lovely neighborhood and close to all that is needed. We would gladly return for another pet and house sit. Five star rating for them too!
I had a great time in the Isle of Man looking after Minnie. Minnie is such a friendly and loveable creature. The house is clean and spacious with beautiful views of the hills and ocean on a clear day. A car is very useful to get around the island. Bridget and her family were very welcoming. A great place to sit!
Julio and Will are welcoming hosts. They bought me a burrito my first night, and Julio's family is always on-call in case I need some help. As for these pets, I absolutely *love* Günchen and Mischa, and the city loves Günchen, too. Prime location ... the Mission is where it's at. Thanks, Julio. 😎
Vanessa and Chris welcomed us into their home. They were warm, friendly and very easy to get along with. Communication from start to finish was excellent. Their house was a lovely converted barn, spacious and comfortable, located in a beautiful setting, surrounded by peaceful countryside, yet only a short drive to numerous Yorkshire villages and towns. Milo, their Labrador, was a gorgeous affectionate boy, always bringing us his toys. His best friend, Murphy (a black lab) lived next door and they would spend the day going between houses playing together. Murphy’s owners were lovely neighbours who often took the two dogs on walks. We enjoyed walking the dogs to play in the stream on the way to the pub where they both behaved very well. This was a most enjoyable sit. A real taste of country life surrounded by pheasants, rabbits and horses. We would highly recommend this sit to anyone.
Gwen and Shannon are kind, generous and thoughtful. I arrived the night before the sit to go over details and they were very thorough. They are environmentally conscious in running their home and I appreciated that. The Doxies and cats were easy to care for. They just wanted to be pet, cuddled, and be near their human. Milo required medication and he took it in his food with no problem. Their home was comfortable with nice views, cool breezes, and a covered deck to enjoy the outdoors. It is close to cheese and wine tasting, and the ocean. I would sit for them again and recommend them.
