Gillian and Erie took great care of our house and Maisy. The house was immaculate when we returned and Maisy was in great demeanor having been walked and cared for the entire time. Gillian and Erie were great communicators and helped us out with some returned items that needed someone at the house to collect. They sent pictures of Maisy during our trip and even replaced a food bag Maisy tore up that was not their fault. Responsible, attentive, great communication, and flexible are all descriptions I would use to describe Gillian and Erie. We hope they can come to take care of Maisy and our house again some time. Steve, Vanessa, and Maisy
Sam was an incredible host! I am truly grateful for all of her generosity and hospitality she has shown me during my sit. Her home was clean and inviting and her communication and support during my sit was so amazing! Her cats were a joy to watch and discover their own personalities! ❤️ I would recommend this sit and would love to come back and sit again! 😁 Sam, thank you so much for all of your generosity and i hope that my time there helped ease any worries about your cats while you went camping ⛺️. I hope you were able to relax and enjoy your time with friends! You have such a big heart ❤️ and an amazing foster mom! 🐈⬛ 🐈⬛ 🐈⬛
Rob & Margaret were lovely with excellent instructions and communication.. The townhouse is beautiful and immaculate..right near amenities and the beach. The kitties are adorable! They are easy care cats, quiet cats, I just wanted to hug them, as they are so cute, but waited til they came to me... Guv'nor comes for affection and treats, M'lady a bit reserved, by the second day they both came to me purring and felt comfortable with me. A 5 star stay! Thank you Rob & Margaret..would return anytime! Warmly, Kathryn
This sit was great, and I would love to go back anytime. The home is beautiful, modern and clean. The neighborhood is fabulous with cafes and coffee shops within walking distance. Melissa was easy to communicate with, and her instructions for the dogs and home were simple and straight forward. The dogs, Hazel and Goose, were so sweet and easy to care for. I found it was best to walk them separately (which was no problem) as they were so strong. They were also happy to be in the backyard either laying in the sun or playing with toys. I highly recommend this sit!
We had a lovely time looking after Dylan and the girls, our first experience looking after rats! They are very easy to care for and full of character, and we think they enjoyed getting to know us too! Dylan is also super easy to look after, perfectly happy with a couple of short walks a day and a potter in the garden, and he is a top snoozer! Beth and Jordan gave us a great handover and comprehensive guide for pet and home care and communication with them was brilliant throughout. Their home is in a fantastic part of Bristol with loads of independent shops, restaurants, pubs etc all on their doorstep. Their neighbours are all lovely too! Working from home was easy too, with good wifi and ample desk space in the office for us both. All in all we had a very comfy time. If you’re looking for a top sit in Bristol look no further than Beth and Jordan’s and their wonderful menagerie!
The housesit at Emma's was just amazing!🥰 She received us with open arms and showed us around the apartment. We also walked Gypsy and thus get to know the environment and habits of her. The stay with Gypsy was just wonderful. She was very friendly and always happy when we came home. Although she was a bit nervous when meeting other dogs, it was no problem at all for us to walk her. She is very well behaved and has been totally wonderful. Her eating routines have not been a problem at all. The apartment is very nice and clean and it had everything we needed. The overall stay was very nice.☺️ The city is really worth a stay. Small trips to Edinburgh or the Highlands were as well possible. But the absolute highlight of our trip was Gypsy. We were always happy to come home and be with her!☺️🥰 We would always come back to sit Gypsy again and can only recommend the stay at Emma‘s. We miss Gypsy already!🐶
Blue is such an awesome dog and we really enjoyed spending time with him over the past few days. Cathy was very easy to get into contact with and we were able to organise an online meeting prior to our sit which was very helpful. The house was beautiful and the view of the ocean from the balcony was amazing to wake up to every day. Blue is a very special boy and we would be more than happy to look after him again in future as his love is very rewarding. He comes for a cuddle every morning and is such a sweet, loving dog. He can be reactive to other dogs as Cathy has said and you need to be experienced with dogs to understand him and his needs. He is also a very high energy dog and loved when we would play tug of war with him. Blue loves coming out on adventures and loved being on the paddle board, we had lots of fun! We thoroughly enjoyed our sit, thanks Cathy and Blue !

Love Lucky Chance Pet Resort! They make sure my pets are walked, fed, played with while they were boarding. Very clean kennel and cattery. The kennel staff are very loving and kind and very affectionate toward your pets. Your pets will be well taken care of!
We picked up our dogs and they were acting unusual. They were not acting like themselves at all. We brought toys with them so they had things to play with during their stay and the toys were not given to them though we asked for them to have them in their kennel. When we got home they continued to act this way and when our one dog went to the bathroom it looked VERY weird as if it had paste al over it. They also were very hungry as if they were not fed all week. We will never be bringing them back. DO NOT DROP YOUR DOGS OFF HERE UNLESS YOU WANT THEM TO BECOME ILL.
Nice place, their courtesy is important to your pet. Huge area for pet to run. Priced higher than some of the smaller vets in the area but better than QTV.
Terrible. The photo are not what you suspect. My rescue was so scared we had to drag her in and when we picked them up both my pure breed chocolate lab and rescue were so frightened. Never again.
Wonderful place for taking care of your fur laden children. Top Notch care and camping for pets when needed. Fully recommend.
Thank you for always taking great care of my dog & bird! We love it here.
They take great care of our dog un a beautiful setting.
Friendly and professional staff eased my senior kitty's apprehension about the vet visit and boarding
Wonderful staff, clean environment. Great rates!!!
Treated well. However they are higher priced than others.
I took my dog for 6 hrs part time day care. They do not appear to have a place for dogs to run and play, but a fence enclosure with gravel. The 3rd day Annie had a small bowl movement. It was a nervous prompted action. I never took her back after that. Obviously. She was nervous being there. I question the validity of this stellar reviews. I also did a earth view and saw 2 small enclosures which is what I saw when I walked back with staff.
I’ve used pet hotels in the past so I was really taken aback at the conditions of the kennels. I felt like I was dropping my dog at the ASPCA shelter. When I picked them up, one bag of raw was completely gone, the other was only partially used. I could tell my one dog was given the wrong type of raw food. He had horrible diarrhea when I got him home and then my other dog had horrible diarrhea. My dogs never have tummy problems. I will never be boarding here ever again. My dogs are never sick and they had horrible stomach problems.i was very specific on my one dog, having only a certain type of raw, And provided two bags One for each totally different kinds. It was extremely loud all the dogs were super close together with chain-link In between. We just bought a house there, and had not had a chance to review the facility before hand I only went by the pictures and inside of the kennels were not shown So I didn’t get to see them until the day we dropped them. I had anxiety the entire trip over, leaving my dogs there. As soon as we picked them up and got home, they both had explosive No way they were having normal stools the four days they were there. I will never be recommending this place or using these facilities ever
I have boarded my dogs with Acorn Valley many times. They have great availability and their prices are reasonable. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly and really seems to care about the welfare of their furry guests 😉 …
This is the first time we’ve used Acorn Valley and we are definitely impressed! Very professional staff and it was immediately apparent that they would make sure my dog got the best care they could give. Way, WAY better than the other kennels in the area. We’ll be boarding our dog at Acorn Valley from now on.
Great spot to board your pet. Our dog is very skittish but they always do a good job with her. They also handle her food well.
The rescues I'm involved with recently started using this facility and we've been impressed. They're further than we would typically go, but they allow our volunteers to come and work with our dogs in addition to their staff handling them. They are kind, thoughtful and invested in the well being of our pups. We have been incredibly happy with their services and are thankful that a facility with such wonderful staff exists!
Acorn Valley is wonderful for both boarding and grooming! The staff is amazing and always takes such great care of my dog. The facility is very clean and safe for the the animals in their care! My dog gets regular grooming done and she always looks fantastic! Prices are very reasonable but more than that you can be rest assured that your pet, from dogs to cats to bunnies, birds and others will be well taken care of! Highly recommend!
The staff at Acorn Valley are incredible. We were nervous to leave our stranger-fearful adopted dog for the first time. We had received a recommendation from a trusted trainer and behaviorist for Acorn Valley so we went for a tour. Every single person we spoke with made us feel at ease. The staff are all clearly animal lovers with lots of experience. We left our little guy for 6 days and 7 nights. We received email updates with photos which helped us relax on our vacation knowing that he was OK. He even made his first human friend outside of the family (Sam, you're so kind and patient- we love this photo of you guys)!!!! He was also able to play with all of the other dogs every day which made it like a little vacation for him too :) Thank you all SO MUCH! We are so grateful that your facility exists!!!
We boarded our very senior cat with them who was just subscribed hyperthyroid meds. They took such good care of her and didn't mind our "check in" phone calls to see how she was doing.
I took my 2 healthy dogs here for boarding on July 26, 2023. When we picked them up on July 30, they were in bad shape. I have never had my dogs come home smelling the way they smelled after this visit. We gave them a bath before letting them in the house. My older dog had an infection in both eyes, almost sealing them shut. I realize this facility is not a veterinarian, however, a phone call to let me know there was a problem would have been appreciated. That was just the start of the problem. My older dog was mopey and continued to deteriorate after this stay. She developed internal bleeding from unknown causes, this could have been a tumor, but it also could have been trauma, we will never know. She passed away on August 9. She had a vet visit on July 14 at which the doctor noted her outstanding health for a 10 year old dog. I feel strongly they were mistreated by the kennel staff and I would not recommend this facility to anyone. We have taken our dogs here for several years, but I most certainly will NOT be returning. NOTE: I could not post this review without giving at least one star, otherwise I would not have given any stars.
