I had a wonderful time with these lovely cats and their equally lovely humans. While Florence in July probably isn't for everyone, the flat can be made relatively comfortable with fans, and the adorable critters do the rest to make it an enjoyable stay. Nina and Paula explained everything very thoroughly and offered some helpful tips for Florence, as well as being easily reachable and responding quickly to any inquiries. I wouldn't hesitate to come back or to recommend this sit to others, but be forewarned, Winston will have you wrapped around his little paw in no time flat!
This sit allowed us to relax and enjoy the rural beauty and tranquility of the location, with sweet, funny, easy-to-care-for pets. We only met Narda and Alex briefly before their departure, but found then warm and welcoming hosts and Narda provided us with all the information we needed for a successful stay. Communications were great, both before and during the sit. It was initially challenging to tell Gigi and Frankie apart, except that Frankie is super-cuddly whereas Gigi prefers to observe things from the safety of her own personal space. She can't resist playing with her feather on-a-wand toys though, which provided a good ice-breaker. Frankie has no such personal space and, right from the start, decided he wanted to snuggle at every opportunity and sleep on our bed (which he was very welcome to do!). Lucha observed for the first day then decided we were okay, and would climb onto knees to better investigate us, and rub around our ankles at mealtimes. She sometimes would roll on her back, inviting tummy tickles, but always on her terms. The chickens (Rayito and Blanquita) are so amusing and quite fearless. After breakfast, they tootle off to investigate the local gardens, lanes and hedgerows, or to visit their sheep friends in the adjacent field. Narda asked us to round them up every 3-4 hours and this was easy enough to do as they don't venture far and respond well to being called. We found it hilarious to witness them come running, then wait by the front door of the cottage to be let in, and strut through the cottage to return to the back garden (with a bit of opportunistic pecking at any leftover cat food, in passing!). They don't mind being picked up and are truly a delectable duo! The cottage is clean, comfortable and warm, and we loved our bedroom with sofa and large screen TV. It was just a short drive to some very beautiful Cotswold villages and good shops and cafés. A lovely stay. Thanks to Narda and Alex for inviting us. ❤️
The house is breathtaking. It's a rare opportunity to spend time in such a beautiful home. Lucinda and Tom live in a converted chapel. It's big, the rooms are huge. But it's also incredibly thoughtfully decorated so it feels really cosy. It feels like a lived-in home (not just a house), which is a pretty impressive achievement for a place with such large rooms. Straight out the back of the house is a private wood that is perfect for walks. Stanley is fine off lead and bounces around the woods like Tigger, it's a very amusing sight as he disappears into the undergrowth and bounces through the bushes. He has great recall and always comes back to check in with you before bouncing off again. Stanley is super friendly and very enthusiastic, he loves cuddles and gets very excited when you run around the garden with him. Hector and Monty are much more laid back, they spend most of the day relaxing, and love hugs. For cats, they warm to you surprisingly quickly. They were very happy for me to pick them up for a cuddle within minutes of meeting, and if they spot you sitting down, they make a beeline for your lap, where they'll happily purr away for hours. Communication was great, Lucinda kept me updated before and during the sit and added me to a dog walking group on WhatsApp so we could organise walks in the private woods to avoid clashing with other walkers. This is a very rare and beautiful property, with adorable pets and a great family (I got to meet and play with the kids for a bit too, they are very funny!) it's certainly a pet sit that stands out, I definitely recommend this sit to others and would love to come back again in future.
Keirnen was wonderful! I cannot speak highly enough. She went above and beyond (leaving me a welcome basket) and was super communicative. Her apartment was immaculate and Tommy and Noodles were the absolute best. They're such sweet and fun cats!! I highly highly highly recommend Keirnen and her kitties. I'll be keeping my eye out for the next time I can come back to visit them! :)
Amazing home, Amazing location, wonderful hostess...Beautiful cats... Had a beautiful relaxing yet energetic time.
My partner & I stayed at Tim & Deana's home with another couple for 2 nights. We had an amazing time relaxing in their large garden, swimming in the pool and going on walks in the surrounding countryside. Despite us having horrendous luck with our car breaking down and arriving considerably late to the sit, Tim and Deana were understanding and very welcoming. Even though they had places to be, Tim still took time to thoroughly walk us through the house and garden with clear explanations on the dog's daily routine. Sahara and Mara were a delight. Both are amazingly well trained... probably the most obedient dogs we have ever sat for. We could comfortably walk both dogs off the lead within the large farm grounds - even when the sheep were in the fields! Overall, this was a perfect sit and we would be more than happy to sit here again.

We have been using Auburn Kennels for at least ten years. The animals love it and the care is wonderful.
My dog loves to go to auburn kennels. When I pick her up she always heads back to the door to go back in. She doesn’t want to leave. That makes me feel so good knowing she loves it. The staff is friendly, professional and they love dogs and cats. The kennel is in a beautiful area of auburn, hilly with lots of trees. I wouldn’t leave my pets anywhere else. I would chsnge my plans so my dog could stay there.
Great prideful owners. They take good care of all the dogs and the dog’s areas.
We have been boarding our 2 pointers at Auburn Kennels for 5-7 days at a time over the last several years and have never had a bad experience. The owners are incredibly responsible and easy to get ahold of. Our latest need involved a family emergency on Christmas day. They were willing to arrange a special drop off and accommodated our dogs with only a same day notice in an effort to help us out. So thankful for a place like this that we can rely on without worry.
Auburn Kennels is wonderful!! They treat our dogs so well!! They allow us to travel and know our dogs are being taken care of...
We have been boarding our dog Boomer (my 4th child) with Auburn Kennels since he was about 8 months old and I can honestly say that when he is boarded there, with the amazing, caring staff and other dogs I do not worry about his welfare for one moment! The space is large, they have pools in warmer weather for the dogs to play in, the runs and kennel area are clean and big enough for our 100 lb pup to romp and sleep comfortably. Boomer is excited to go and visit everyone and he is excited to come home and sleep for a day or so after his play date! We highly recommend Auburn Kennels, amazing people and all of the dogs that Boomer plays with are wonderful with him.
Always attentive and friendly with the pets. Service arrangements are so easy After the first visit. My dog is very happy to go there!”
My dog was happy and healthy after a week here! I showed up too early unknowingly and Sylvia helped me out right away anyways. The property is great for dogs :)
I know my dog is treated well and has plenty of room to play and a space to get away from others when needed.. The location is beautifully tucked into the Auburn hills. Heated kennels in the Winter, and swamp cooled int he Summer.
Wonderful place!!! Our dog had so much fun! You can tell the owners care about every animal that comes to their facility. They carefully consider personalities and take great care of them!!!
Sharon has been pet sitting for my 3 fur babies for the last 2 years. I had never used a pet service before (only family members) and was nervous at first but Sharon quickly made me feel at ease as if she was part of our family. My 3 pets all love her now and this has made it extremely comfortable to take long trips out of town. I come home to a clean house and 3 very content pets. They don't even seem to miss me!
Sharon, the owner and caregiver at A Pet’s Paradise in Lincoln, CA is very dependable and caring. She has taken care of our cat several times when we were gone for up to 2 weeks. We’ve returned to a healthy and happy kitty. Sharon also takes care of our plants. They usually look better when we get home than when we left! Anyone in the Lincoln,CA area will be pleased with Sharon ‘s services.
I have used A Pet's Paradise service for 14 years and I have been very pleased with their service. They are very dependable and go above and beyond my expectations. She has taken care of my Westie since she was 7 weeks old - she is now 5 years old. She thinks Sharon is her second mom since I use her service so frequently. I highly recommend A Pet's Paradise.
Sharon has been great with both of my animals and my current kitty, Alfie, loves her. She is definitely in tune with the animals she cares for and so dependable! Colleen
I was very impressed with A Pet’s Paradise service. Not only were my animals well taken care of but my floor was swept and the garbage was taken out. The service also watered my plants and checked my mail. My pets appeared very relaxed when I got back which indicates time was spent with them. Great service!
We have been boarding our dog Moose for several years at Camp Lisa. Lisa has given us great advice about his food and has improved his overall health. Our dog has a great time at the facility and always looks healthy and happy when I pick him up. I recommend Camp Lisa wholeheartedly. John Davis
Someone said this place is first rate. I suggest you go there between 11pm and 2am. The dogs bark just about all night long, which indicate to me (a nearby neighbor) that something wrong is going on. I could see it if it happened occasionally, but almost every night is ridiculous. Those dogs are being neglected because she doesn't even try to quiet them down.
This is the exact kind of place I feel comfortable leaving my dog. I've brought my GSD here twice, both great experiences. We've tried the sitters that come and let your dog out at your house, but it's just not the same. Bring more dog food than you expect, the dogs play all day and eat way more. Just made reservations to use Camp Lisa for a 3rd time. Highly recommend and cool piece of property the dogs get to enjoy.
Camp Lisa cares about the safety of the dogs in their care. They wanted to meet us first. They checked immunization records and made sure our pup was a good fit for a group. While our dog is submissive, they wanted to make sure that the other dogs in the shared space were going to be respectful, which they were. The dogs have access to both indoor and out door space at all times. I love this place and will bring my dog back.
This was the first time we boarded our dog at Camp Lisa. This boarding facility is great. Our dog was very happy when we picked her up after her five day stay because she wasn't confined to a cage at all. She was able to play freely with other dogs and she really enjoyed it. Lisa takes very good care of the dogs and it is a very clean, safe environment. We will definitely be boarding our dog again at Camp Lisa.
Camp Lisa is the BEST and our young Golden loves it there. The facilities are clean, the staff friendly, and they all truly care about all of the dogs. There's both indoor and outdoor areas where dogs are well taken care of. The main indoor area is temperature controlled for both summer and winter. We've used them for day and overnight boarding and never worry about our dog being treated anything but wonderfully. This will be our dog's second home every time we are unable to take him with us!
We love how happy our dogs are when they return from Camp Lisa! The place is always clean, the staff are friendly, and the cage-free policy cannot be beat. The prices are very fair for what they offer. We have 3 dogs (2 big mixes, 1 small) and would highly recommend this place to anyone
I have taken my dog to Camp Lisa several times now. If you are wondering whether you should take your dog here, you definitely should! Camp Lisa is clean, peaceful, and you can tell that they really love the dogs that are here. Every time I pick up my boy he is so happy!!!!! What a wonderful place!
Camp Lisa is a wonderful place if you want your dog to be on vacation while you're on vacation! We happened to find Camp Lisa from a sign off of I-80 while driving to Reno. Cageless boarding! We were excited as we had recently lost our dog of 17 years and we're in the process of adopting a German Shepherd. We decided we wanted to find Cageless boarding for Sedona. Camp Lisa is a wonderful property set up for your dogs comfort. Large inside room where dogs are separated by size age and temperament. They freely run in and outside and play. Sedona gets great exercise there! I never have anxiety about dropping her off there. It's her vacation spot! We highly recommend Camp Lisa!
We have used Camp Lisa about a half dozen times over the last several years, and the dogs there are always happy and well-behaved. We wanted a place where our big dog wasn't confined to a small run, and Camp Lisa turned out to be a great fit. Lisa always takes good care of the dogs here, and when we pick ours up, has stories to tell about his stay.
