Melissa and her family were great hosts! There were very welcoming and accommodating for me. She had great communication throughout the sit. The home was very clean, organized, and overall enjoyable. Maple was an absolutely amazing pet. She is so smart, patient, and loving. All she wants to do is be in the same room as you and get cuddles. I can’t think of anything Melissa or Maple could have done to make my stay better. I highly recommend them and would be thrilled to look after Maple anytime again!
Roz and Simon made me feel so welcome and as Roz and I are both Pilates teachers we had lots to talk about! I was able to meet both of them and Molly a few weeks before the sit and then again for a walk with Roz and Molly which was great to see what Molly was like out and about. Charlie and Lola made a brief appearance on my first visit! The house is wonderful and I felt very relaxed and comfortable there. Molly is so sweet and loves to help collect washing and bring it downstairs as well as lick you if she's given the chance. She can get distracted by squirrels when out on walks and need to be fairly strong with her if she is on the lead, but treats always help! Lola decided to sleep on my bed most nights and is very affectionate. She likes to lick you a lot, but she is so beautiful and gentle. Charlie I didn't see often unless it was food time! Although the last few nights, he did decide he wanted to sleep on the bed too! I'd highly recommend this sit and would be happy to come back again!
Amazing space next to the sea. Thank you so much for sharing such beautiful space. The kitties can be skittish as times and others can warm up to you :) thanks again!
Living for a month amongst the French, in a medieval village, was a great adventure. Thanks Caitriona! The cats and the botanic garden did need quite some attention. There was help from a very kind person. This was great, because it was not an easy task (some technical problems) The cats do have some problems. In Summer it is very hot, but there are great places to swim in the Herault. (You need to take your rest in Summer during daytime.) The region is nice and had all kind of historical pearls like st Guilhem and Puechebon The kitchen and cooking part is fine!! And there are friendly terraces around the corner. You need protection against small flying and jumping insects in the house and the ( rather far off) garden. Caitriona responded quickly by Whatsapp to all questions. Neighbours, or the handyman like Andre were kind. You need to speak some French!
Carla and Jeff were wonderful hosts. They were clear with their instructions and very generous. Even treating us to dinner the night we arrived. The house is fantastic, in a great location, and the view is phenomenal. We were lucky to have multiple clear SF days where we could really appreciate the vantage point of their home. The dogs; Bella took a day to warm up to us, but once that happened, she was our best friend. Blaze let us know immediately that he needed love too. Both were super friendly and easy to care for. Wasabi was always in a new spot in his enclosure, so finding him added to the fun. And feeding him was easyand fun. Sir was the friendliest guinea pig. Always running to meet you at the side of the cage. Maybe a little shy if you opened the door, but still willing to come out and play. All in all, this was an awesome sit, and we would gladly come back again, given the chance.
I had a fantastic time staying at Erleta's place and watching her two wonderful cats, Zoé and Charlie, while she went on a weekend trip with her dog Ricky (who I also had the pleasure of meeting – he is great too!). The cats are super relaxed and independent. They come and go, but can also be very social and happy to get some snuggles. The apartment was spotless and is in a great location – a very cool neighborhood with lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. But the apartment itself is a little oasis with a small garden. Erleta is an amazing person – so kind and friendly and warm and an excellent communicator. And obviously a great "mom" to her pets, which made them very open and trusting towards me as a new person.
