Autumn was great. She was communicative, responsive and Riley was well taken care of.

If you have ever dreamed of spending time in a log cabin in the woods, next to a lake with sweet animals then this is the sit for you!

Antonella was kind and down to earth and lives in an outdoor paradise in central Tennessee. It's important to keep in mind that while she has supportive neighbors, her home is very rural which can be challenging if an emergency arrises (this is a tornado prone area). She does allow sitters the use of her car because you are approximately 45 minutes away from any kind of store or service and if you want to explore the area you need a car.

The cats Numa and Pirullo are about as opposite as two pets can be. Numa is your typical Siamese and is quite shy and skittish but slowly warmed up to me. She usually wanted my attention when her siblings weren't around and enjoyed sitting on my lap when I watched movies and was the easiest of the pets to care for as she mostly naps. Pirullo is a sweet and affectionate cat that spends most of his days outdoors and is great buddies with Clyde. He does have feline herpes and requires daily supplementation and medication as needed. As he is the youngest of the bunch he still can be quite mischief so you can't leave any kind of food out. Both cats love being brushed though unfortunately they randomly urinated on things during the sit though I never figured out which one.

Clyde is a happy and really tolerable dog who loves his walks and wants to be wherever you are. The reason I mention him being so tolerable is that it was quite stressful taking care of this sweet soul as he had both health and behavioral issues which is why I am giving this sit only 4 stars. He has a VERY thick fur coat and brushing him took an hour once a week. He is prone to "hotspots" aka as skin infections which he had for the duration of the sit. This meant I was administrating either topical and/or oral antibiotics/steroids to help his hotspots heal most days but unfortunately once one would clear up another would appear. It also meant he spent 3 months wearing a cone as well as a t-shirt I bought him to keep him from scratching or chewing his skin infections. Antonella has a neighbor friend who is a retired vet who supplied all his medications but by the end of the sit it was apparent that he had something else going on and needed to be seen by a vet. In addition to this health issue, he started randomly pooping in the house overnight. Luckily he kept it mostly in the guest bathroom but this only made the sit even more stressful as I really started to worry something was wrong with him though his mood, energy and appetite seemed normal.

I am very thorough with my questions when I do my initial video calls with pet owners to make sure it's a good match for everyone. Neither of these health or behavioral issues was mentioned until after I arrived and then only in passing. As I would send updates to Antonella, especially in regard to these issues, she did confirm that these things happen regularly so I think it would have been best to provide this information during our initial call. I am not blaming her, as things do come up and I don't think she had any idea that these health and behavioral issues would become so problematic but I strongly advise other sitters to ask about these things if they are interested in this sit especially as Clyde is a senior dog.

Robyn
This is a fantastic cat-sit, but fair warning, no one else will get this sit if I'm available! Haha! Robyn and Brian are absolutely lovely and the cats...oh, I'm in love with Kodi and Mick! Such sweetheart cats! And they're both easy and fun to hang out with. The house is gorgeous, the view fantastic, the bed super comfortable.

Brad & Jeremy
I had a very nice time pet sitting the cutie boys, Maxwell and Kingsley. They are both sweet and such characters. And even though Kingsley wears a little diaper for pee pee, it is very easy to put on and take off when he wants to go outside.

Brad and Jeremy were so gracious and I was able to meet them and their boys the day before the pet sit and get a tour and all the info. The house was super clean and cute, and in a nice neighborhood. I was able to get around Charlotte easily using my car.

I also had a great time exploring Charlotte, a very progressive city with a lot of interesting US historical relevance.

I would definitely housesit for them again if our travel plans ever coordinated correctly.

This was our first sit with Trusted House Sitters and we could not have been more stoked about the whole experience. Dylan made everything super simple and straightforward for us, and we found it super helpful that many of the questions we had were already answered in the instructions he left us. We found it super easy to get along with and take care of Moki and Baloo, they are so funny and sweet and happy to chill out with us when we wanted to stay in and hang out. We loved the neighborhood, and taking the train was great when we went into the city. We were super comfortable and had a great time throughout. We will definitely miss Moki and Baloo!!

Really great housesit in Mile Oak- met up with Lisa and her pets before the sit as I was in the area and she couldn't have been more hospitable - and we managed a walk on the Downs with Denny too.

Both Denny the dog and Cookie the cat are easy to care for and were good company- both of them are cuddlers- and we got used to each other straightaway.

You can get to local resorts easily by bus or one or two stops on the train and there was a local supermarket 2 minutes away.

I'd recommend Lisa and her pets to any housesitter.

Corinne was a wonderful host. She treated us with a meal when we arrived and gave us a windshield tour around Hartlepool that was very helpful. Spike was easy to care for and we enjoyed both Corinne's lovely home and the area. Thank you! Jim and Bea
