Andrea arranged to visit my home prior to the sit so we could get acquainted and cover the basics, which then meant i could drive off knowing she would arrive and be able to take over shortly after. She texted me a photo after arrival showing how Iris was already comfortable with her, and kept me well updated. Andrea was also flexible on exact arrival and departure times to suit traffic planning etc. My home was in perfect shape on my return linens in the dryer, dishes clean, and Iris good and tired out. I would welcome Andrea back any time and hope more sits with her work out in the future!
Anahata took good care of my puppy. It turned out that he did not do well with another dog in the house so she was faced with some unanticipated bad behavior and handled it well. She kept the house in good shape and she communicated well with me during my trip. She made some new friends and lasting connections in my community which was a plus for all.
We consider ourselves very fortunate to have had Laurie and Doug stay in our home and care for our 2 dogs. They offered to come a day early so they could see how we took care of the dogs, where things were, etc. They handled the dogs like pros, and gave them a good amount of exercise and lots of love! The house was well cared for. We received almost daily photos and reports from them. We would have them back in a minute!
This is one of the reviews I absolutely hate posting, because I want to keep the place to myself! But it would be a disservice to not shout from the rooftops over how lovely this sit was. The apartment was wonderful - Farah met me the day before to ensure both the pets and myself felt comfortable, and we ended up chatting for hours. All the amenities you'd ever need, plus more. The main stars of the show: the pets! Bernie (although said to be very shy) warmed up to me very quickly but was definitely the quietest of the three, and would have fuss when the other's were busy (sleeping, usually)! Sammie's the ultimate lap cat, and grasps at any opportunity to come sit with you - which was the ultimate boost of serotonin. And Ethel, oh Ethel, the sweetest dog around. She's not a huge walker, although the weather was VERY hot whilst I was there, but she loved a walk to the local coffee shops and back. Absolute fuss machine, and would always follow me about the apartment to keep me company. My family ended up face-timing me on a few occasions, less to see me - but to see Ethel! Overall, it was a wonderful time - and couldn't have asked for better hospitality, care and company throughout the sit. I'd 10/10 recommend this sit (as long as I'm not applying for it)!
