We were fortunate to house and petsit for Laura and Noah twice this summer. They were both incredibly hospitable and helpful, and we felt at ease with their clear, generous, and kind communication from start to finish. The house is beautiful, clean, colorful, and bright with a garden full of life and delicious fruits and veggies. The pets are unforgettable sweet souls. Cats Walnut and Tootsie delighted us with their mix of bedtime snuggles and independent outdoor adventuring. And Pepper is just a singular ball of furry love. He is polite, well-trained, often sweetly sleepy, happy to walk and hike, and gentle as can be. We hope we can return to this lovely home and neighborhood again.
It was a true pleasure to meet Dennis, Ron, Marley, and Estrela! Our stay in Oliveira de Frades was perfect! We were warmly welcomed; Dennis and Ron are incredibly generous, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. Their home is comfortable, spotless, and has everything we could ask for. Oliveira de Frades is a charming village with lovely restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, and local markets to visit. There are also various routes for walking or cycling. Moreover, the view of the hills and mountains, along with the cooler evening weather, made it one of our favourite places during our stay in Portugal. We met Marley and Estrela, and we loved them, so they will always be in our hearts. Marley has an easygoing personality, always relaxed, loves cuddles, but also enjoys walks and running through the fields. Estrela is the sweetest girl; she loves sports, walking, and running, and she also loves water and enjoys bathing in the streams we found during our daily walks. The chickens are easy to care for and happily approached us whenever we fed them. To conclude, our entire stay in Oliveira de Frades was incredibly pleasant and relaxing. This was possible because Dennis and Ron made everything so easy. Finding people like them, so friendly and generous, along with little ones Marley and Estrela, makes the experience of pet sitting wonderful! Until next time! Cecilia and Eric
This sit in David and Denise’s Asheville mountain home was amazing! Beautiful, well appointed with much interest and spectacular views at every turn. Communication was fast and easy. The stars of the show: Theo and Penny! So easy to love right from the moment we met them. Walking/running with them through their woods quickly became the highlight of our day. They both love car rides and we were able to go to Beaver Lake which was fun! They both are exceptionally athletic and obeyed without hesitation 100% of the time. Overall we feel lucky to have connected with David and Denise and to have stayed in their beautiful home with Theo and Penny whom we absolutely adore!
Wendy welcomed us with a delicious meal and thorough orientation. Maru is not only a beautiful looking pet but has a most generous spirit. May steals your heart as she seeks to cuddle. The community is friendly and inviting and we felt completely welcomed. Wendy has done a superior job in training her pet family and this made our sit more than delightful. We look forward to a repeat opportunity.
