Dog Sitters in Arbor Trace, GA

Overall, Cheryl was great. I only gave four stars for pet care but let me explain. I went away for 3 weeks. There was a heat wave the entire time I was away, and I was so afraid my newly planted back yard would wilt to death. Therfore, I leaned on Cheryl heavily to water my back yard plants and shrubs, which is a time-consuming job. She sent videos of my back yard along the way to show me how things were looking. As well as the outside, she also watered my indoor plants regularly. I returned home to see all my new shrubs and plants thriving despite the high 90 degree temps. I also returned to a wonderfully clean house and a satisfied kitty. The main issue around the pet care was that Cheryl believed my kitty should be fed more than I have been feeding him for the past 11 years (based on vet's recommendation) . Despite our email communication regarding her concerns he was not fed enough, and me clearly stating to keep to the feeding directions I'd left, Cheryl disregarded this and fed him more anyway. Although I'd left more than enough cat food to cover the time I was away, the last week she ran out of cat food and needed to buy more. I felt Cheryl was not tuned in to my cat's behavior. While she interpreted my cat was hungry whenever he meowed, much of the time he simply wants/needs/responds well to some gentle talking to with affectionate touching (massages, hair brushing, rubbing his belly), or just a few minutes of interactive play. Yet if food is offered, he will never turn it down. During Cheryl's housesit, I emphasized the yard watering. Because I felt like this was a big inconvenience and burden to place on anyone, I didn't want to emphasize that my sweet cat also required alot of attention. I knew my kitty could make it through 3 weeks on less than his usual amount of loving, but my yard would not survive a heat wave without watering! Because of my choice, I take some responsibility for the perceived lack of attention in the pet department.

Dee was absolutely wonderful! Our puppies were very sad to see her go. She took them on daily walks and kept us updated on how they were. The house was spotless when we arrived. We would be happy to have Dee back again!

Lauren was a wonderful sitter! I’m so glad that she was able to help me out on relatively short notice. She was great with my two cats and she went above and beyond with taking care to tidy up before she left. I’m so glad I asked Lauren to sit and I’ll welcome her back any time!

They were great! Very responsive to the needs of my animals and kept in touch before during and after their stay!

Matt came back for his third time to keep our home and farm well cared for. He was WONDERFUL. Highly recommend him! My dogs were spoiled, my horses blanketed as needed, the house was very well kept in our absence. Thank you Matt! Come back anytime!!

Shelley is a 5 star Angel. This was her third suit with us and we just love her. She looks after my pets like they are royalty and my garden got a make over. She’s reliable, fun, friendly and professional. Am all round all star.

Xinbei was amazing! Very great communication before, during, and while wrapping up the sit. She took great care of our two kitties and sent us lots of photos as requested. I knew our fur family was in great hands. She was so clean and tidy and made it enjoyable to come home to a house that was just as clean as we’d left it. Highly recommend her as a sitter!

Tatyana has stayed with our dog several times now and she has always been great! Rudy misses her after we return to a very clean house!!

Ellis was an incredible sitter. During our initial video call, he asked what my ideal was in terms of communication and check ins. He lived up to my dream scenario and then some. Ellis was very self sufficient but also communicated with regular updates and details to both keep me feeling relaxed and also to ensure that the cats were getting the exact care that they needed. He kept the apartment in great shape and it was clear that the cats really enjoyed his company. This was not an easy sit by any means. 5 cats with varying personalities and needs and dynamics. Ellis administered meds to my cat with hyperthyroidism and to my foster cat with neurological issues who was put on two antibiotics unexpectedly right before my trip. He navigated it all with ease and attention to detail. Thank you so much, Ellis. We appreciate you so much.

My flight got cancelled and I couldn't get another one out for a few days so unfortunately I had to cancel Laura's sit, but I'm giving her 5 stars for a few reasons: -I met Laura over video chat and I felt very confident in her ability to care for a senior dog based on the details she made sure to cover. She asked how he likes to take his meds, his comfortability walking in the heat, stress levels, etc. It was clear that she has a lot of experience with older pups. -She was communicative and graciously flexible. On the day the sit was supposed to start, my flight was pushed back more than 6 times. We kept in close contact throughout and she was very understanding about the constantly changing plans and when I had to cancel. Great communicator, knows dogs, considerate, flexible, kind... I would love to have Laura sit in the future.

Ryan was an excellent pet and house sitter for us during an extended Labor Day weekend. She is very kind and friendly. We were able to meet prior to the sit and it was obvious that she genuinely loves animals. I felt very comfortable knowing she would take care of our dogs as if they were her own. She provided regular updates and photos/videos of the dogs and was very quick to respond to all of my texts while we were away. She handled their daily schedule of feeding, walks, and bedtime exactly as we discussed. The house was kept clean and it looked just as we had left it. Our dogs were very happy and relaxed, indicating they had been well-cared for. I would definitely recommend Ryan and we’d be glad to have her back for future sits!

Ana was such a kind and responsible sitter for our cat. She sent daily updates which I really appreciated, and left the place very neat and tidy afterwards. We would be happy to have her sit again.
