Miki has a wonderful home in Boulder. I came to the area to work remotely and cycle and had such a lovely time. Her two cats Marty and Basil are super friendly and know when mealtime is. Lol! Miki herself was an excellent communicator and such a joy to connect with. I hope to stay here again next summer.
Alfie is the dearest dog. He may not be so mobile now, but he enjoys a short stroll and a good meal, followed by a long snooze - a good life! Stefanie is very welcoming. The house is wonderfully light, tucked away in a quiet spot, yet close to the town centre and the common. A very comfy bed and a relaxing sit - thank you for having me.
I house and cat sat for Anne for 16 days in July, it was a great experience. A lovely clean house in a quiet neighbourhood within walking distance to Oak Bay Village and the beach promenade and marina. Minx and Shadow are very easy to care for; shadow slept on our bed every night, he is adorable. Minx is very independent and comes and goes like a teenager. Anne and Peter are excellent hosts who gave written instructions for all our needs while there, including favorite dining. Victoria is a beautiful, interesting city. I would love to hang out with Minx and Shadow again. My husband regretted that he could only come for seven days, he also hopes to go back again. Thank you Anne for choosing us! Philomena
It was a pleasure to cat and house sit during my recent short stay at Laura's lovely comfortable home in Earlsfield, which has a good selection of local shops and a Tesco etc and is conveniently a few minutes walk from the station and a short train ride from Wimbledon to connect to the underground rail network. Laura was very helpful and quick to repsond with communication prior to and during the sit including with the hand over which we had in advance of the start date, and Ruby is a sweet cat and although rather timid/shy to begin with, once she realized i was there to feed her, she let me stroke her and she enjoyed playing with her string and paper bag etc in between spending some time in the pretty/well kept garden during the recent good weather. All in all i would certainly recommend this sit.
Julia and Pete are lovely lovely people with absolutely the best behaved and sweetest black lab that you could ever dream of. This was such a fun house and pet-sit. Mike and I cannot wait to return that dear dear girl Bessie next year. We miss her so much already, especially that first morning without her. She was our constant companion and really because she traveled so well anywhere and was such a very good dog. You could just count on her to make others smile and never would she make a fuss with any other dog or child. Their home is absolutely the most beautiful place to stay. We just couldn't wait to be back there making another meal with the AGA, and lounging in one of the many desirable rooms that suited the mood. Conservatory, or lounge with fire, or perhaps in the garden with all the flowers and birds and dear Bessie with her balls lined up in the grass ready to chase again and again. : ) Julia was so thoughtful and was always available via texts. She is so organized and had everything written up so I felt like I didn't miss a beat on anything Bess or the house needed while we were there for two weeks. Really grateful we found this lovely family and they invited us into their home. You would be so lucky if they chose you as well.
I had a very positive experience at Bill & Annie’s. They gave me a very warm welcome and introduction to the home and pets, including a nice dinner that we enjoyed together before they left. They live in a beautiful remodeled Colonial home close to the main part of town. The pets, Charley and Piper are truly wonderful cats. Charley is a snuggly love bug who appreciates hugs and attention. Piper is the more independent type, who also likes occasional pets and treats. He will approach you on his own time when he would like some attention. Walpole is a wonderful small town with its own chocolate shop, gourmet grocery store, artisans shop and a restaurant. There are some beautiful trails and hikes close by and Keene, NH, is about a 30-minute drive. Bellows Falls, VT, is another cute small town about a 10-minute drive, worth the visit.
