The Perry’s were great hosts, even though we couldn’t meet to send them off on their vacation a simple solution was found and the transition worked perfectly! Pele is a lovely little fellow and was very well behaved throughout. All information about the location was helpful and easy to follow. Daily WhatsApp messages kept us all in the loop and even a pocket dial turned into a chance for Pele to say hello to his family. In all it was a trouble free and fun weekend.
Looking after Luna and Curry was a joy. They have such opposite personalities, Luna is gregarious. instant best friend, and highly entertaining. Curry is cautious and acts uninterested, but in time shows the love, - a great double act. The home is way more spacious than revealed in the photos, very comfortable, fabulous kitchen, and sunny, private courtyard. Brooke and Michael are such wonderful people, gracious hosts and interesting storytellers. Their communication was excellent at all times, even sharing daily updates of their adventures. Thank You both, we would be honoured to sit again!
We were lucky enough to spend some time looking after Cherry in Ruth and Dave's lovely home in Trowbridge. The house is in a great location, close enough to be able to walk into the town centre. It's also a great area to explore, with Bath among several towns within a short drive. We did a lot of walking along the canal, river banks and disused railway lines. Their home is immaculate and has every comfort you could need. We were given all the information we needed and made to feel very welcome on our arrival. Cherry is very affectionate, low maintenance and spends most of her day asleep in her chair. When she did decide to go out on patrol, we really enjoyed being employed by her to open and close the doors. We had a fantastic time there and it passed all to quickly. We'd love to return someday and this time have Amber for company. Thanks Ruth and Dave...!
This was an incredible first experience with Trusted House Sitters. Jon and Melina were such incredible hosts who make this house sit not even feel like a job but more of a peaceful staycation. Im super grateful for the opportunity to stay in their wonderful home and trusting me with your two babies, Sadie and Boy. Both dogs are very kind and trusting. Sadie has the best energy even for her age and she kept my spirits high. I also enjoyed how independent Boy is. They both were very easy all around. I would return and take on this opportunity anytime I can in the future :)
This was my first sit on on THS and it exceeded my expectations. The dogs are so affectionate it's hard not to fall in love with them. Moki is a stoic girlie (although very protective of her owner/sitter), Rascal full of loving energy. The cats are chilled - X is a purring machine, Lightning a solo traveller you won't hear a lot of. You will sleep in a bright, comfy guest room that has its own empty dressing room/closet that you can use as your own during your stay. Definitely convenient. What really stood out was 1) Elizabeth is an amazing human being - she makes sure you have everything you need and is happy to make adjustments if needed. She a seasoned house owner on THS so all instructions are made available and clear. and 2) The neighbourhood is awesome; very pretty, green, clean, safe... Most neighbours are friendly Oakland veterans who look after each other. Super recommended!
