It took me many weeks to find Claire and her son Jack but it was worth the long search. My dog Mozart had been getting increased separation anxiety since I went away in November, so I was really worried as to how he would be and what he would end up doing whilst I was away. Claire and Jack had dealt with a friends dog previously with the same problem and there were no issues with Mozart whilst I was away. My cats didn’t go astray either 🙏. Claire and Jack enjoyed getting around the island a few days but were always conscious of not being away from the house too long. On a couple of occasions the dogs got treated to a walk into the village and were well behaved sitting outside restaurants with Claire and Jack . The dogs received additional attention from passers by , Spice is a real attention seeker. I agreed for Claire and Jack to stay on for a few days after my return from my holiday. We each got on with our own agendas so it wasn’t an issue for me. They were kind enough to stay with the dogs one evening so as my husband and I could go out for dinner with friends without worrying on when to get back home. On the last evening we enjoyed a Sunday dinner at home together. I would definitely welcome Claire and Jack to house sit again. Claire and Jack did clean their bedrooms and bathroom before they left . Claire had started cleaning other parts of the house as we arrived home as we had forgotten about hours time difference from where we were travelling, so this is the reason I have given Claire a 4 . I’m sure if we’d arrived an hour later that all the living areas would have been spotless.

Bev and Paul
We had a fantastic stay at Bev and Pauls lovely home. It was stunningly clean and a beautiful place to be with expansive vistas looking toward Gulaga. Red the dog was great fun and very lovable. The sheep were entertaining
and mostly self sufficient, even through lambing, and we hope to stay in touch as 'nearly' neighbours in the community.

What a way to say goodbye to 2020! Thank you, Eliana and Kahlisi, for a fabulous house-sit and for helping us end the year with such good cheer.

Communication with Eliana was easy and clear (and funny!) and she welcomed us into her home with an open heart and genuine warmth. Her flat is full of light and comfort and quirk. It feels lived in and loved – the kind of place that slows down time so that our four days at New Year felt like a long vacation.

Kahlisi is special – a total hoot and the most wonderful character who’ll soon have you trained in the gentle arts of treat-lobbing, percussion therapy, and vacating the bed so she can use it instead!

We feel lucky to have met such lovely people (yes, Kahlisi is a person in cat-form), and would happily sit again. Alles Gute, ihr Lieben!

I had a wonderful time cat-sitting Alice! Alice was an absolute sweetheart, so sweet and cuddly throughout my stay. The house is located in such a nice area, and I felt completely safe during my time there. Thanks for entrusting me with your beloved pet and home – it was a pleasure!

Victoria
Victoria is lovely and was very generous and welcoming. Her communication was excellent and she showed us where everything was and came on a walk with us and Smudge when we arrived. Before we confirmed the sit she sent us several videos of Smudge and his endearing quirks, she was entirely open and honest.
Smudge is a great dog, he really loves his walks and his enthusiasm makes the walks even more pleasurable, especially when you have such massive and brilliant woods to walk round, just a few minutes from the house. He was good with all other dogs and gave us quite a few laughs, trying to dig out moles and lying in the streams!
However long you walk him he always wants a game with his toys when he gets home, but once he has done this he then settles down. He is a very sweet affectionate dog and always lays down against you, or with his head on your foot or even sometimes squeezing onto the sofa between us :). Because he is deaf, you have to use hand signals and make sure he is looking at you, when you want him to do anything, so you get this funny situation where he is looking at you, you want to tell him something like you are taking him for a walk, but of course he can't hear you, so he just carries on looking at you, until the smart collie in him picks up something and he understands!
We would definitely do this sit again, if available. Thanks Victoria :).

Tim and Lucy
We had a lovely stay in Chipping Sodbury looking after adorable Perdy. Tim and Lucy were excellent hosts, communication was very clear and they were kind enough to put together a helpful guide on the local area, recommending walks, shops and pubs nearby. They took the time to show us around the house when we arrived and made us feel very welcome. Perdy was an absolute delight to look after, full of personality and energy! She felt comfortable with us very easily and made for great company. We enjoyed our walks with her in the lovely nearby countryside.
We couldn't recommend this sit enough, thank you again for choosing us to house sit for you. 😊
